05.31.04, Monday:
[04:45pm] A good couple o' days have passed by, hee hee...^_^ Thursday was school, followed by Book Club. Since it was down in Loma Linda, I stopped by the school and visited Giang for a bit! ^_^ We got to simply chill and eat Twizzler's, which was lovely. =) We had cheese fondue (with bread to dip), veggies and sausage with batter for frying, raspberry and chocolate fondue with fruits. Yummmmy...I had no idea fondue would fill me up so, hee hee...I thought it'd just barely fill my tummy, but I was quite wrong. And I do like fondue, hee hee...dim sum though, is superior of all the "little foods" meals. =)
Saturday, DVD, Calvin, Drew, Shelton, and I (*and Gilbert too!) went to watch Shrek 2! I liked it. =) If you liked the first one, you'll like this one, hee hee...After, we ate at Applebee's and then ended with playing bball in the mostly-dark park, hee hee. =) After church on Sunday, there was more bball, as we played against GCAC in West Covina. Wow, we actually won! =) The guys were playing better as a team. Plus, we DID have a little "help"? =) Although it was still fair, because GCAC's team had help too. =)
Today is nice...I just had a Peach Fruit Bar Popsicle, while lazing on the sofa. 'Twas nice. =) I had just came back from shopping with the Duck, and got a pair of shoes today, so now I have two tennis shoes! I can rotate them when needed, instead of wearing one all out for the next few years. =) Earlier today, besides putting finishing touches on lesson plans, I also super cleaned the bathroom to my mom's liking, and helped with some kitchen stuff. It's simply a nice, relaxing day...we can all use more of these kinds of days. ^_^
Except for the heat...I wouldn't mind if it was a taaaaad bit cooler. =) Ooo. Gotta go decorate a cake..! ^_^
05.26.04, Wednesday:
[07:43pm] It's been a while...^_^ On Saturday, I went to watch Mama Mia at the Pantages. I liiiiked it! It was continuously fun and I kept wanting to sing and dance with the music, hee hee (since it is a musical based on ABBA!). "Youuuuu can dance...! Youuuu can jive...! Haaaaa-ving the time of your liii-iiife...!" ^_^ Actually, I had the title song, "Mama Mia", stuck in my head for quite some time afterwards. =)
Since we were on Hollywood Blvd, I can say I saw stars! Not famous people...just names on the sidewalk...I didn't recognize much of them, heh heh...before the show though, Rosalyn, Dorothy and I ran into these two guys with cameras. They were like, "Are you famous???" Apparently, they were looking for famous people and were unsuccessful. Near the end of the trip, they wanted to take pictures with us and just SAY that we were famous, so that their time there wasn't simply wasted. But it's okay. I didn't want to take pictures with strangers - I did check and ask if they were famous though. That'd be different, ha ha...wouldn't it be funny, if you were a "famous star" (not the Carl's Jr. version either, hee hee), and you went around looking for stars too, and pretend like you were a tourist, doing that? ^_^
I got home late, late, late, and very hungry and tired. We had some sushi before the show, but that stuff don't fill you up. =P It was a fun evening, nonetheless! Other shows that were up for musicals there included Oklahoma! (I saw that on TV when I was little. It scared me, though I did like that "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" song) and The King and I. =)
We sang and led worship on Sunday...and we had Josh join us on drums and Thomas on the keyboard! Woot woot! It went well, which was neat, because we've been critiqued before. =( Either way, as long as the heart sounds good to Him, right? =) After, I rushed to RH and picked up my airline ticket...came home...went to DVD's barbeque. It was funny...like 4 of us were there sitting at the table, doing work. My bro had a paper to write, Mello had an O-Chem midterm, and I had lesson planning to take care of. Calvin had the best work - his homework was to draw out pictures for the animation he's working on for class, called "Tony Two-Toes", hee hee...(violent looking Hong Kong style triad where some guy loses 2 toes when betrayed by friends or something...hee hee...I want to see the full animation when done!) ^_^
I heard that while I was gone in RH, the guys played bball, and that TNT played hard-core, ha ha...poor Shelton has an injured knee, DVD is battered with a hurt toe and jaw, and my bro had a bloody toe - but that was because he was playing in boots. =Þ TNT are big. Theo's nickname is Bear, and it fits him well. I remember running into one of them during a game at church one time, and I literally *bounced* off of them! Hee hee...
A big rock hit my windshield on the freeway one morning to work. =( There's a big concentric circle and some on the lower left hand corner of the window...the cracks aren't on the outside nor inside, but in the middle...I wonder if that clear plastic resin will do anything for something this big? Hee hee...I'll try this weekend...=)
Cheese and chocolate fondue tomorrow for Book Club! Wow! I've never had fondue before...so I'm quite excited! ^_^
05.22.04, Saturday:
[08:20am] Happy Birthday to Ma-Ee! Yesterday, I mean, hee hee...^_^ She made wontons for us. Mmm...she used to work in the wonton shop when my mom's family had one way back in China, so she's a pro. =)
My nails are getting really long. I must cut them. I don't maintain them, but they grow, which I guess is a good thing for a girl, right? ^_^ Long nails are helpful, ha ha...they can be used like the edge of a dull blade to open things and pull small things out (like splinters, staples). Even after I cut them, I know that they'll still not be short-short, but for a while, it will feel like I'm missing something, hee hee...
My lil' sis wrote something I liked. I will copy and paste here, ha ha...: "To other people, we always seem to have the perfect lives ... or as close to "perfect"/good enough as it'll get. And so we pass the days looking in through the glass windows at the "happiness" within, longing so much to be a part of it but knowing that it may always simply be an illusion fixed within our own idealistic dreams. And it is such that we live our lives, trudging along, window by window, yet never realizing that someone is outside our window too, looking wistfully in."
I'm reading this book right now, Ursula Hegi's Stones From the River. I'm not too far in the book, and yet it's hard to put down, because you just start following it and it flows. It amazes me how much personality, thought, and responses the author puts in Trudi's life as a young child, when I myself remember very little when I was 5, 6, 7, or 8 years old (I'm only up to that age right now, hee hee...). It really seemed carefree back then, and maybe it was, but it's not for everyone. Not everyone has the same life. And think about it - though we are always so consumed with our own lives, there are a thousand...million...billion...trillion lives going on around the world, each different from another somehow, from the person driving in that sports car in front of me on the freeway that had a "for sale" sign on the window to my mom that was off in London, Paris, Lourdes, Morocco, Nice, Milan, Lucerne (the photos of Switzerland are LOVELY! It impressed me the most, hee hee...) and who knows where else in the past 9 days! Each has their own deep thoughts, concerns, moments of joy and contentment, anxiety and problems to solve. Though we are all linked together somehow, we all live these separate lives. Right now, someone else may be eating something yummy for the first time, having indigestion, taking a nap, waking up, fighting with someone, falling in love with someone, finding God, and losing God. There are all these things going on everywhere, all the time, every second. And we're just one little speck of it. And yet, each of us is still unique. Each of us can still make a difference to those that are around us - around us because of luck or fate or whhatever you want to call it. Each of us, as little as we are, still matter a whole dang lot.
It's neat. These lives we are given, and the choices we have. We are given an incredible amount of power to choose our lives and live it in any way we want. I may not know where I want to live and settle forever (though SoCal is nice. I really do like it here! hee hee...but I don't mind traveling here and there, like this summer! ^_^), but I do know that the core of my life is to serve my God. And honestly, as "goody two shoes" as that seems, it's a choice I want and a choice that I really do love and revel in and it does bring me joy and happiness. =) I'm not being prideful or whatever, really (and hey, this is my own journal anyways, right? So I can write about me all I want. Me, me, me! j/k j/k! ^_^ But yeah, truly, I'm not comparing anything, making anything better or worse...I'm just stating my own personal thoughts. ), but time and time again, it has proven true. =) And it's like I want everyone else to have that joy and happiness too. =)
And to make all these words not just be about me, there is but one lingering question left then: With all that you're given, how will you choose to live your life?
05.20.04, Thursday:
[08:48pm] Went here for field trip today! =) Fun trip with no big problems to worry about. =) My favorite part? I saw a hummingbird up close. It was no more than 2 inches big, and extra cute!!! It was sitting there until one student really really really wanted to touch it, heh heh...
The parrot walked on my finger and let me scratch its head! More than once!!! And it responds to me at night, hee hee...and I thought it didn't like to hang out with me, hee hee...^_^
My mom is coming back tonight! Thus...off I go for now...! ^_^
05.19.04, Wednesday:
[09:12pm] I've been better at updating, no? =) Today consisted of a nice hour and some drive up to downtown LA to the China Consulate...where I stayed for only 10 minutes to get all my stuff...and another hour and some drive back down home, hee hee...thank goodness for CD players (remember? My Malibu didn't have one!) and 98.0am, hee hee...At home, I booked airplane tickets to China. The only flight that had any seats available (that would get me to China in time to register to school, but was after Summer Camp!) was the Air China flight on the 21st, at 1:30am...! I looked online to find reviews about Air China, but apparently, some people think this one airline called "CCA" is Air China (and it's not), and there were some pretty bad safety ratings on it, which scared me because according to the Air China website, it has SUPERIOR safety ratings, heh heh...I didn't find any gushing enthusiasm about any of their stuff though - just mostly that it's alright.
After all that, I went to school, took care of stuff in my classroom (my kids weren't any problems for the sub...yay...), went with Chris to get my pedicure (she had both toes and nails taken care of, hee hee...), and then off we went to Downtown Riverside to pass out lollipops and books. Oooo...Downtown Riverside Wednesdays are bumpin'! I like it! So much good stuff - food everywhere, smells circulating throughout, vendors all around, and even a farmer's market! I couldn't help but get some Pluots (Plums/Apricots mix. Sooo yummy!), and because we are being compensated for dinner, where else but Simple Simon's??? Hee hee...if I do it again though, I'm heading over to Brody's Hawaiian BBQ for one of them BBQ Bowls...the smell was intoxicating...! ^_^
05.18.04, Tuesday:
[08:55pm] Yesterday was nice, and today was nice. =) I'm taking tomorrow off though, to go to the China Consulate...I get to go through traffic...to pick up my visa and passport...! So what did I do today after school? Shopping! Hee hee...without really intending to. See, I went to get the book for our Book Club. I hear it's good, so it seems worth it to buy, and as I had some extra cash in my wallet, why not? So off I went to get my book. On my way to the car, what did I see??? A "Buy One Get One FREE!" sign...and it was for eeeeverything in the store (Contempo Casuals, by the way)! How could I not resist walking in to take a gander at what they had? I liked this one skirt, but couldn't find anything else of interest, so I spent a lot of time going here and there to find something. Eventually, I found a nice shirt, but it had no price tag. So I picked up a bracelet in case the shirt would be too much, but it wasn't...in the end, I got everything for $20! ^_^ Not bad. =)
Plans for the rest of this week include: Annual Pedicure, Downtown Riverside (passing out lollipops and books!), Living Desert Museum Field Trip, Memorial Weekend Planning, Mama Mia at Pantages, and more lesson planning and grading. Oh, and to find Voo and give her her bday gift! ^_^ Essentially 2 weeks left of school!
05.16.04, Sunday:
[10:34pm] So...quick recap of this very interesting weekend...
Saturday - Went to the Youth Camp Counselor meeting...this year, taking along three counselors from our church! Mello, Thomas, and Calvin! Yay!!! *clap clap clap* ^_^ The only thing was, because I was still medicated with Benadryl, I was quite sleepy during the meeting. It was good that Melody drove us up there (thanks girlie!). ^_^Afterwards, we went to eat Pho for lunch, and I also learned the "proper" way to eat a Vietnamese Egg Roll! ^_^ That is, you wrap it inside the lettuce leaf and other veggies that they give you. Mmm. I like it...! Because I only learned this after I ate half of my egg roll, I intend to order another set next time, and eat the whole thing properly, hee hee...When I came home, I found out the hives came back. =Þ So, no BBQ for me - instead, I slept some more, ha ha...I feel so lazy, sleeping so many hours away...but it was also nice...=)
Sunday - (Today) No hives in the morning, so I avoided Benadryl. Picked up Ninien and went to church...on the way there, my stomach started twisting...ick...I was thinking it could be a side effect of the medicine? Either way, by the time I got to church, I was feeling pretty sick, and missed Sunday School (and Sam was teaching again too. Drats. I like listening to him!)...There was also this one Mexican guy there who only spoke Spanish, so when I got there, everyone was like, "Gaaaaill!!! Talk to him!!!", heh heh...so I talked to him a bit, but it was hard, because my stomach kept twisting up. =Þ Before service started, Sam came to check on me, as it got pretty bad, and we concluded that it was either some kinda gas (I had cabbage last night? heh heh...) or possible appendix problem. So, my bro drove me home and I rested and missed out on church today. =Þ [Thanks Shelton, for taking care of all the stuff there for me and my bro!] My bro missed out on a Governing Board meeting, ha ha...more like something nice for him, right? =) My dad later said that he had some stomach pains last night, and that he was thinking it could be the ground beef, because he had defrosted this huge package to make for dinner one day, and then half of it in the fridge for a few days before he cooked it for dinner last night. Bleah. Either way, it was a weekend of unusual health stuff. I don't like it, because I'm usually pretty healthy, hee hee...I guess I take it for granted. I made it to CCF tonight though, and that was good, so that I didn't miss too much of church today. =) My hives were just barely starting to appear again after 9pm...after a whole day of needing no Benadryl. They're just little ones. Shelton, an experienced hives veteran, ha ha, says that they may keep doing that, and that I'll just have to learn to live with it. It sounds like a book: "Learning to Live With Hives", heh heh...^_^ And hey! Today's a special day! It was Vanessa's Birthday! Happy Birthday Vanessa!!! ^_^ I didn't get to tell you that at church, but yeah...Happy Bday! ^_^
05.15.04, Saturday:
[3:11pm] Nooo...they're not gone...some came back...! >_<
[07:14pm] I woke up today...and they're all gone! Except for some on my toes and fingers. On my fingers though, it just feels like it's stuffed, instead of bumpy and itchy. Woot woot! ^_^
Unfortunately, schoolwork does not go away like hives...and I still have major work to do for what I've missed in the past few days. >_<
Aw...Mean Girls! I wanted to see that! And Troy too! Heh heh...at least I know that I should be fine to make it to the meeting later this morning...which I need to get ready for...=)
05.14.04, Friday:
[10:44pm] Hives are better today...still present in large areas and migrating all over the place. =Þ Because I didn't want to be drowsy while teaching, I didn't take any medicine with me to work, so by the time 6th period rolled around, my face was red, I was feeling warm and uncomfortable, and plain icky...so I took off as soon as I could, went home, took Benadryl, showered, and napped...till only a few hours ago. I love naps, but I think I like it best when I'm not afflicted with something, hee hee...=) I watched The Last Samurai with my bro when I got up. It was a sloooow movie, but also good. The war scenes though, made me sad...to see people killing their own people. Usually when I see war movies, they're the old style Chinese battles, and it always seems exciting because the hero or whoever is slashing their way here and there, and winning for their cause against an evil empire. However, I suppose this one was more realistic, and it filled me with a great sense of sadness watching the battle scenes. I do think think that this is the intent of the movie, and so they portrayed that well.
05.13.04, Thursday:
[05:47pm] So we had our flower dissection today...harmless, right? No scalpels...just dissecting scissors and tweezers to cut apart the alstroemerias (peruvian lilies), right? Ha! Wrong...! Towards the end of 6th period, I noticed that not only had I been itching quite a lot, but that the itching was intense, and agitating. It wasn't until one student pointed out that I was getting some red bumps on my face that I noticed that I had red bumps on my arms too. In fact, I had a bunch of funny little bubbles all over my skin! I had some kinda allergic reaction to these flowers, and passing and distributing them for dissection sure didn't help...! One student pointed out that they were hives, which I don't remember having before, so I'm glad I at least found out what these freaky bubbles were! As there was nothing else unusual that I came in contact with, I figured it had to be the flowers.
These hives are scary! Most are small, and like a bug bite, but the rest are just large blobs of puffy, raised skin, and it looks like my body is melting at parts. Parts of my body that I didn't touch are even affected! I was wearing long pants today - the kind that even has a liner inside - and my legs are also bubbly, as is my back and body. =( I hope it goes away soon...or else I'll be the "bubbly-girl" on the block...these bubbles feel warm too, as if they're burning inside. Well...at least I'm not having a major allergic reaction, like having difficulty breathing or what-not, heh heh...
Is there a Physiology of Hives class? I'd really like to know what the heck is going on, hee hee...despite all this, I'm still a nerd at heart. =)
I took a Benadryl allergy capsule, and used cream all over. It still itches. I need to stop itching myself, but it's hard to stop! =Þ Maybe I should just cut my nails. =) (*Hmm...adding Calamine lotion seems to work...am I OD-ing on this stuff? Hee hee...the PharmD. at Vons said it was fine...)
So this is one reason why teaching is an adventure, every day. Never a dull moment. =) (except now, now that the Benadryl is starting to make me rather drowsy...)
Rex was 81 years old. He sometimes called me his "sweetheart" as a joke, hee hee...*sigh* I do know he's up there though, and perhaps, reading scriptures again, with perfect vision, in his neat radio-announcer voice. =)
Oh! I had a lovely offer to go to Wango Tango!!! For free!!! Hee hee...it's cool though...I already said I'm going to a yummy BBQ this weekend. =) Mmmm...! I'm already thinking of honey-glazed bbq chicken wings...! ^_^
Congrats to TCTM! He graduated from Western, and is now a full-fledged legal drug dealer, hee hee...What will you do next Timmy, besides watching and playing basketball??? =)
I'm starting to collect science textbooks from the students. Another school year has zipped on by...wow...!
05.12.04, Wednesday:
[08:12pm] My blog for today was going to be: "Pray for Rex"...but instead...I found out he passed away this morning...=( Rex Smith was such an awesome individual, who was always up to cheering those around him...I will truly miss him...I found out last night he was sick with pneumonia at Chino Valley, and was depressed...I wanted to go see him right away, but well, it was quite late when I found out...and so I wanted to go today. All day today, I was thinking about it, and worried...and when I got home, because we wouldn't be able to make visiting hours, we decided to go tomorrow together. But then I found out he had passed away already...I'm sad because I didn't want him to go sad...apparently, today is his mother's 103rd birthday (she passed away a few years ago), and being near her bday and all, and well, he did get to go as he wished - in his own home (he was released for that purpose...!) and not in a hospice, which is where he would have gone after Friday...Rex Smith - Cool dude, and always will be - I'll see you again one day homeboy...
05.11.04, Tuesday:
[08:29pm] My stapler is found! ^_^ Someone placed it on my desk. My bro, perhaps? ^_^ Okay, back to work...I counted it up on my calendar...there are only about 16 days of instruction left (I don't really count the last two days, such as Promotion and the Promotion Practice day)...and then summer! Woah!
05.10.04, Monday:
[10:36pm] I have a new pet! =) My uncle gave me his Scaly-Headed Pionus Parrot...I like it...it has this happy and yet intelligent type of look, heh heh...! ^_^
[06:10am] I'm up early...and not the least bit tired! ^_^ Besides a full night of good rest, I had another night of dreams; I don't remember too much about it though, other than one where I did go to school late, but my students were in another class, so I just stayed in an empty classroom until I remembered another classroom where I was supposed to be, and we all went to watch some play somewhere afterwards. Friday night's dreams were much cooler - adventures of monster-slashing, kung-fu powered, archnemesis-born-again-in-a-mutated-form-to-fight-me-again (the "fire bleireig???" I forgot what we called it.) type dream. It was almost Zelda-like, heh heh...I suppose I relived this dream enough times to those around me this weekend to not blog it here, ha ha ha...or maybe I should just have a "Gummy's Typically Strange and Wacky Dreams" section on this site, hee hee...^_^
This weekend was awesome - it was as if summer had already started! True, I had work to do, but much less than the previous weeks, and people hung out everywhere. For example, Friday night, the gang of us went to Diamond Palace for an early Mother's Day dinner. I love eating at that place! That crispy tofu dish is always so good...amongst other tasty delights! ^_^ Then on Saturday, we all woke up extra early to send off my Mom and aunts to Europe; I was going to go too, and drop by the China Consulate to take care of my Visa for this summer, but it's closed on Saturdays. They only open on the weekdays, and from 9 to 3pm...bleah...Anyways, later, Tofu was mixed with MSG, and off we went job-hunting here and there for Tofu and M. =) Saturday night, another M - Mello! - joined our tag team and spent the night over even! Sunday was church, where I had to do some major impromptu announcement about roses for the Mothers, followed by getting to see the lovely Becky again, and then off to Rowland Heights for grocery shopping. I DO like to grocery shop, hee hee...^_^ Besides the four boxes of tofu, I also got bakery goods at Diamond and Mango Slushies (2 for 1!) too! At home, we watched Cheaper by the Dozen and City of SARS (hee hee...what a title eh? It aroused enough curiosity for me to watch it. ^_^). Cheaper by the Dozen was better than I thought it'd be. I think that I do have really low expectations for many movies, and end up liking them more than expected...is this a good thing? Or a result of being disappointed by a potentially good movie, time and time again? Hee hee...whatever-psychobabble reason it is, it was still good - not GREAT, but good, and I liked it. =)
So can you see how it was like summer already? I did do grading and lesson planning, but it didn't take up the bulk of my weekend, like usual. =)
05.07.04, Friday:
[05:55pm] Fun fun day...school started with a weird schedule for an assembly, as well as early release for the Cinco de Mayo festival. Although the assembly was nice, at first, I was wondering what the purpose of it was...at the end though, there was a slideshow presented and created by some students about Cinco de Mayo...so at least it was educational? Although 25 minute class periods don't allow me to feel like I get too much done (academic instruction is important too! Ahem!!!), so in most of my classes today, we did the Journal Entry and Cool Sciences, talked about some good Cool Science answers (which helped review material for the week, heh heh), got our grades passed out and put in our Journals. After that, it was off for the Cinco de Mayo celebration, where Heidi and I chomped down on lunch quickly to supervise the Halo Booth. Later, I went to get into the Dunk Tank - a scary experience, indeed! You never know when it's going to drop you, and at the same time, I'm not a biiiig fan of water. I'm just alright when it comes to going to the beach or swimming in a pool. I like sports that have balls to play with much more...=P However, I only got dunked 4x - three times by this same 7th grader that kept coming back, and once when Marcinko let a student pull the plug in the back to drop me in the tank, heh heh...none of my students got me, so as a revenge for their lack of competence (j/k...!!! ^_^), they found other means of getting me wet later throughout the event. With their water bottles, I mean. =P The whole thing was really bumpin' though - lots and lots of people were there, and a ton of kids from last year and the year before came by to the festival and to visit. It was really nice to see them all again, and I'm glad I didn't forget anybody's name. =)
05.05.04, Wednesday:
[09:56pm] Highlights (and thankful list, hee hee) of the week so far:
05.03.04, Monday:
[09:43pm] My aunt is here!!! ^_^ Today, she hung out with us a bit after we got home from work, and had dinner with us. It turns out I'm not going this Friday night to the REACh Mixer. My aunt, mom, and other aunt are going to have their Mother's Day celebration early, with all of us along, for dinner that night. Mmm...good food is guaranteed, and my cousin and I, since we're both working now, are going to pay for it. It's funny, see...like, it seems perfectly alright to pay for dinner, and then when my mom mentioned that we are to give my aunt some spending cash for Europe, it seems weird. I think because I'm used to older people giving kids money, you know? But my mom said that in Chinese culture, when the younger ones start to work, we ARE supposed to hand them cash like that. I don't mind doing it, but the concept is something I'm not used to, hee hee - besides my parents, I haven't given straight out cash to someone older than me, really. Treating people out to eat, or getting a gift or what-not, seems perfectly fine, but cash seems different, hee hee...it makes sense though. There are times when I think it's weird or unique being Chinese but born here, and raised in a pretty traditional family, though immersed in this total American culture at school, in the media, and everything else. And so like I'm in-between traditional-Chinese and the usual American Born Chinese (ABC's)...but it's not exactly 50/50...and I'm not one...nor the other...but at the same time, I like how I ended up, heh heh...you know what I mean?
Anyways, Six Flags...tired me out like mad!!! But it was fun - the kids did their competition, and I didn't lose any of them, heh heh...in fact, we beat the bus to the parking lot. =) Besides the rides and competitions, the camaraderie was also a lot of fun! Getting to know the kids better, and in a different setting and such. =) AND some of them felt comfortable enough to drench me with my own water bottle...several times, mind you! Heh heh...
Most of us seemed pooped today in class...that worked well for me, as I was tired too. =) We started our annual Hot Wheels Physics today though, which is always an exciting time of the year. =) (Actually, I think it's exciting all the time! ^_^)
I love the full moon...especially when the moonlight shines through my little window onto my bed. I get to sleep in moonbeam! ^_^
05.01.04, Saturday:
[08:30am] Grading...grading...grading...I think I can, I think I can...heh heh...It's been crazy...thus, the little updating that has been going on here. Though it's May already! There are so many things going on in May! They include Six Flags tomorrow, for Math and Science Day (By they way, I DO have three extra tickets...anyone wanna go with me, so I won't be so bored??? Or, you can buy the tickets from me, for $20.50 each, which is more than half off! Three kids got knocked out yesterday for behavior, by the Assistant Principal.)
Tomorrow, my "Ma-Ee" (aunt) from HK will be coming to visit us for the month! And then my mom and her and my other aunt are off to Europe on a 9-day trek, hee hee...May also includes a Memorial Day at the end - a long awaited weekend break - and this is also the last month of school. In fact, there are approximately 6 weeks left of school now...! And then I will be free of grading...hee hee...I think, hopefully, after this Six Flags affair, that I will also be a bit more free. I'd like to be able to chill with my aunt when she gets here, instead of grading all the time! >_<
