Neglection!!! SORRY!!! I've been so busy this summer, it's been crazy.
Anyway, I realize that writing all about The Van Ride From Hell was a tease, and everyone probably wants to know what happened at actual camp.
Camp was very enlightening this year. I got into the advanced class (or "smart people class," as Patrick and Rebecca Sam. begrudgingly called it).I got a 90 points score on the entrance exam, so that's how I got into the smart people class. I hadn't thought that I had retained a lot of knowledge from last year, but I guess I did. Anyhow, I was rather proud of myself.
I have to say that the facilities this year were a lot nicer than the ones last year, even though last year we had doors on the toilet stalls, and this year we only had CURTAINS (which fluttered in the breeze every time someone opened the bathroom door)!!! But the people weren't as nice as they were last year. A lot of the people at camp this year were a bit superficial, and many scandalous things happened, but I won't broadcast the scandal across the Internet. That would be too mean. Besides, me and Leah rehash it every time we see each other, which is at least once a week (I know -- we're so bad, but it really WAS scandalous!!!).
The lake seemed nice, even though me, Leah, and Chloe were scared at first of the green bubbles floating on the water's surface, but it turned out that it was only algae. Silly me. But, still, I didn't go in the water anyway because I have thighs the size of a house (theoretically impossible, I know, but you know what I mean), and I don't really like swimming.
Our featured speaker this year was Dr. Bonta (a.k.a. Dr. B.). I thought he was an excellent teacher. He was very humorous, and kept us entertained (although, I have to say, when he came to Cabin 3 -- my cabin -- to answer any questions we might have, I FELL ASLEEP!!! It really wasn't because he was boring, but only because I was so tired). Plus, he kept an ongoing game of Boggle going with Bernadette the entire week, and she finally won on the last day (GO BERNADETTE!!!).
