"Well, it's not _really_ being used..." Sam objected quickly as he
shook his head. "I mean, it's not like I didn't get anything out of
it, anyway, and, besides, it's not like I entered it expecting a
relationship or anything of that sort..."
"WUV, TWUUUUUUU WUUUV...." He intoned rather goofily as he made his
thrid or fourth attempt to glomp on the poor Cajun. "Yup. That's us.
The purest case of twu wuv in the whole damn city! Though, of course,
I have to share his heart with sempai, but still... I couldn't ask
for more!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suppressing another long-suffering sigh, Lukas gave into the
inevitable and let Sam glomp him. Best to just let him get it out of
his system. However, he couldn't suppress the automatic snort of
derision at Sam's statement, "True love? I always thought it was
more a marriage of convenience..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"A-a... a marriage of convenience?!" Sam somehow or another managed
to choke this out, though it was more through barely withheld
laughter over the more standard tears. Wobbling away from Lukas, he
tried to make his way over the Kisoku and, kneeling on the bench, he
wrapped his arms around the poor sempai.
"Did you hear what he said to me, sempaaaiii?!" He whined as he
nuzzled into Kisoku's hair. "How cruel! How cruuuueeel! He's broken
my poor fragile heart!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Tsk, tsk, pet, Nevan doesn't mind at all," Shittsui stroked his
companion's side affectionately, "Do you?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alexei set aside the pizza he was eating and glared at Shittsui, "You
will leave the man alone and you will leave this place, or we will
stab you with our fork?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shittsui raised an eyebrow at the boy, "Oh, my. You certainly have
violent friends, Dante."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arvel giggled at the antics of Sam and Lukas. "You're friends are
wierd," He told Kisoku, "But you knew that already." Then Sam came
over and wrapped his arms around Kisoku -- and thus Arvel, too -- and
the redhead attempted to pry the blind boy gently away from
him, "Hey, hey! I can only take one hottie at a time!" He protested.

"Hai... Maybe... because, I-I-I try to make sure Mousy is happy..."
It seemed to be long time since they were stnading there waiting for
the play, but in truth Sasurai was glad that the play hadn't
started... it gave more time for her to be with her new friend. The
contenet feeling returned, covering whatever was left of the tense
moment. Mousy squeaked softly enjoying the gentle fingers that were
petting his fur. After all, unlike his old friend, he sure loved
attention.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh, of course I wouldn't mind, Sophia." Nevan smiled kindly to the
girl as she requested a moment of his time and he was just turning to
join her when Sui stroked at his side. Stiffening a bit at this, he
flushed rather deeply, but he still managed to maintain his smile as
he shook his head.
"N-no, I... I don't mind." He shook his head to Sui's question,
though, of course, he didn't really know what was being asked nor,
exactly, what the plum-haired youth meant when he'd mentioned being
played with. Still, he couldn't have any doubts over someone who'd
been as nice to him as Mr. Barano had. Still, he found himself
frowning as one boy threatened the elder and, frowning just slightly,
he shook his head at Alexei.
"I... really don't think such violence is necessary..." He murmured
quietly to the fork-weilding boy. "I'm... I'm sure there's another
way..."
"Now, then..." All that said, the blond finally turned his attention
to Sophia and, smiling apologetically, he tipped his head. "What is
it you wanted to discuss?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Nevan doesn't mind..." Mune snorted as he took in all of Nev's
behavior and, shaking his head, he frowned to Sui. "It looks as if
you could light his hair on fire and throw him into a pool of gas and
he still wouldn't mind. Just after a momentary replacement for Lem,
huh?"
"Actually, he's fairly reasonable for his threats." Smirking
slightly, he tipped his head and, crossing his arms, he glanced over
to Alexei. "Apparently, he just got finished with some other jackass,
so I'm sure he's warmed up enough to stab you in a few fairly choice
areas..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, Mousy certainly seems happy..." Lem giggled softly as he
continued to stroke at the creature's fur. Despite the cool air, the
crowds, Master Barano's unexpected visit, he was truly enjoying this
and, even if he had felt brief albeit sharp jealousy at seeing the
elder with someone else, all was forgotten in the cheer and comfort
of the moment. "I'm sure that he really appreciates all you do for
him..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm sure he does to... because I appreciate all he does for me."
Sasurai went to also stroke Mousy's soft fur, careful not to get in
the way of her new friend's head or hair, "Chou kawaii... I think
Moust finds your hair comfortable," No wonder too, since Lemy's
curls were soft. Giggling, not only did she stroke Mousy's fur, but
also played with one of her new friend's curls, unable to help
herself. Lemy was like a puppy, with soft long hair that was only
too tempting to touch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"He probably does..." Lem giggled softly as he rolled his eyes in a
futile attempt to glance to the nesting mouse. Still, he found a soft
blush infusing his cheeks at the feeling of Sasurai's gentle fingers
in his hair yet he didn't even think of drawing attention to this,
so, instead, he attempted a lame joke. "My hair's pretty much a rat's
nest anyway, so..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Iie... your hair is so soft, and the curls are so cute!" Sasurai
squeaked on the last word, she couldn't really control that high
pitch, "besides, Mousy is above a rat, he is just a good judge of
hair worthy enough to rest on." She giggled lightly, enoying the
light hearted time. Realizing, however, that she was _still_
playing with his curls, she pulled her hand away, not because she
noticed he was blushing, 'cause really all that would do would be to add to
Lemy's overall adorable look, but because she usually didn't touch
a person's hair... or anything of a person, really.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ah, that's true." Lem nodded to Sasurai's words about Mousy being
above a rat, then, just slightly, he grinned. "In that case, I'm
_honored_ that Mousy's chosen my hair for a nesting."
Still, he blinked as Sasurai drew away and, though he enjoyed the
feeling of the girl's fingers in his hair, he made no protest to it.
After all, he didn't want to do anything that'd make the other
uncomfrotable in any sense.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hai... just like I was honored to find Mousy in my home." The mousy
girl nodded slightly to emphasized her words, "He's my good luck
charm." She noticed the other's blink when she pulled her fingers
from his hair and sighed, "Ano... I usually don't-don't... just
touch... hair... gomen ne..." Though she knew by now she didn't need
to make so many apologies, her habits were hard to break.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dante was a strange one... between his earlier tasteless jibe about
an orgy and all the innuendo his words were drenched in now, he was
being _ridiculously_ uncouth. It was the sort of language Sophia
wouldn't have put up with at any other time, except that now she
could see he was doing it in an effort to protect Mr. Alraune from
the man she was nearly positive was one of the several main pimps in
New Eden. So she shot Dante a quick glance that spoke quite clearly:
I'll get him away if you deal with yours.
"Actually, Mr. Alraune," she continued, looking up at him, "it was
something I really hoped we could discuss outside. It will only take
a moment, but it's quite important..." Already, she was pulling on
his arm a little, leading him out the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Aww, he's a rather sweet good luck charm!" Lem giggled as he again
went back to petting at the cute little creature. "It seems like
Mousy is really lucky for anyone who comes into contact with him,
though. Me, included..."
"No! That... that's fine!" Seeing the embarassment, he shook his head
and, smiling softly, he inclined this same. "I... I was just a little
suprised. There's no need for apologies..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hai! He is sweet and kind... he is as lucky as you say..." Sasurai
loved Lemy's giggle, since it brought a light feeling of joy in
herself as well as adding to their afternoon.
"Ano... it-it-it's a habit... to-to apoligize..." Sasurai blushed
slightly and making a faint smile, she looked down in thought,"I
just can't help it sometimes..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"He must be lucky..." Lem smiled to both the girl and the mouse as he
continued to pet, pat, and otherwise adore the small fuzzy
creature. "Maybe it's because of him that I was able to meet you... and
to have such a wonderful day..."
"Ah, I see." He nodded to Sasurai's explanation for her apologies
and, smiling slightly, he tipped his head on side. "That's alright,
then."
