Was she blushing before? Now she was certain her usually palce face turn into a dark shade of at least pink. Simling sheepishly, she looked up. "Ano... and... and maybe because of Mousy, I had the privelege of meeting you and... having... one of the best days of my life." That was true, whether he believed it or not. Mousy squeaked and rub his head against the gentle fingers of the owner of his new resting perch, loving to be adored.

"And I think you're spoiling Mousy more so..." Sasurai giggled softly, "he's lapping up all the attention!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, unlike you, Arvie, I can take as many hotties as I want all at once!" Kisoku grinned, pulling the two boy's even closer. He giggled to himself, then sighed happily. "Ahhh... I love my life!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"But you have more practice," Arvel protested, "Ah, no, hottie overload. My poor little brain can't take it! No," He changed his mind in mid-thought, "Might as well enjoy it while I can... ok, ok. Line 'em up."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yes! You must enjoy as many hotties as you can while you can! Gather ye rosebuds!" Sam giggled rather foolishly as he tried to snuggle closer still to the other two boys and, flinging the arm not around the two toward Lukas, he attempted to give the cajun an inviting smile. "Ne, c'mon rosebud! We neeeeeeeeeed you! This way we'll have _all_ the hotties!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Well, maybe so..." Of course, Lem flushed when the girl said that meeting him had been a _privilege_ and, though he wanted to protest it, he quickly decided that doing so would only cause another awkward or painful moment. So, swallowing those words, he offered Sasurai another bright, sweet smile instead. "Still, if he really is responsible for all this, then he really should get all the attention! After all, such a lucky mouse should be very much loved!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hai! I agree..." Sasurai giggled seeing Mousy again lap up all the compliments and attention. For moment she noticed Lem flush at one of her comments, and felt a quick flash of panic, wondering if she had said something wrong. However, seeing his smile comforted her and that little panic disappeared from her mind, "Mousy deserves to be loved!" Maybe it was better if she shouldn't have said that, because the usual spark of self-loathing came into her mind, since it had to hurt any ounce of self-esteem one has if one says a mouse deserves love while before hand that same person basically said they didn't... but that too, quickly passed.
Shaking her head slight as to knock some snow from her hair, "Per- Perhaps Mousy is lucky... but also perhaps that f-fate has decided to be good to us for the day... I-I have Mousy with me all the time, but never has... any-anything special happened..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hmm. Maybe it's just the luck of the season?" Lem ventured quietly as he tipped his head. Of course, fate and luck usually went somewhat hand in hand, but he found he'd rather believe that it was the spirit of the season which allowed this fortunate meeting over something like fate or even luck. Still, whatever the cause, he was still more than slightly grateful for it. "Between that and Mousy's natural luck... it... it was bound to happen, I guess!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sasurai looked around. The decorations, the white snow, the trees, the carols, and the sparkling lights... the season was, naturally, filled with luck and joyful tidings, of prayers and wishes coming true at last. "Perhaps you're right..." It seemed that the spirit of the season seemed to be a more... comforting and welcomed thought that just fate or luck, even if it was the luck of a mouse.
"Perhaps it is just the luck of the season... and I also agree... with-with-with the fact that this meeting was-was bound to happen..." there was some underlining feeling that it was true... this was bound to happen but for another purpose. Whatever purpose it was, Sasurai didn't mind... it was working in her favor.
Lukas shook his head, chuckling at his friends' antics. "I don't know, Sammy... looks like you already got a full dance card there... I'd hate to see you strain somethin' you might need later.."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"That... seems such an odd thought, though," Lem murmured quietly as he moved his hand from petting the mouse to his habitual twirling. Honestly, he couldn't imagine that he was fated for much of anything beside working endlessly for Master Barano and, really, he found that idea to be a bit disquieting. Not that he didn't like the idea of being guided by the hand through life, never to have to make a decision for himself, but if it led him somewhere troublesome... somewhere away from Master Barano.

"I... I mean not... not that I'm not glad to have met you!" He exclaimed quickly once he'd managed to shake aside his last group of thoughts. Of course, the idea that he might have said something to offend or hurt his new friend was an unpleasant one, so he felt he had to apologize for just about everything. "It... it really is quite nice to... to be here with you..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Aww, c'mon!" Sam grinned as he tried to grab for the Cajun without leaving his current position--not an easy task. Still, seeing as his grabbing was unsuccessful, he lowered his voice to a silken purr and smiled silkily. "You know I'd strain _anything_ on your behalf, Lukie..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Don't worry, I understand what-what you mean... I-I believe you..." In all truth, Sasurai really did believe him despite what her emotional shattered, mainly because she felt the same way, "it's really nice to be here... w-with you too. The thought _does_ seem- seem odd."

It did seem odd. Why did fate or the spirit of _any_ season decide to be nice to her _now_. The two weren't nice to her before hand, that she was certain of. She liked the fact that whatever purpose fate had in store for her was... today... working in her favor... she had doubts on whether that was true. Seeing the other go abck to twirling his curls, she couldn't help but gently place a hand on his twirling one, giggling softly, "It seems you-you have a habit too."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"O-Oh, I...." Lem flushed near crimson as she drew attention ot his nervous habit and, letting his hand freeze in its work, he smiled a bit sheepishly. Of course, she was right; that'd been his habit as far back as he could remember and, whenever placed in an uncomfortable or unfamiliar setting, he'd take to endlessly curling that one tendril of hair. Still, he'd been doing it so long, that it seemed odd when someone drew attention to it.
"Y-yea." He laughed quietly as he nodded his head. Dropping his hand from its place in his hair, he firmly stuck it in his pocket with the silent resolution not to go back to playing with his hair-- yea right. "I... I... guess it is a bit of a habit. I'm sorry..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Oh no... don't-don't-don't be sorry." Sasurai bit her bottom lip, "I shouldn't have pointed it out... gomen ne... I... I-I-I thought it was cute... don't-don't be sorry... itai..." BAKA BAKA BAKA!!!! She couldn't help but feel as if she offended him. He didn't look angry, in fact his sheepsih smile and quiet laugh should've comforted her slightly... but the thought of offending the only _human_ friend she had triggered a sense of fidget panic and despite biting onto her bottom lip, the corners of her lips twitched as she began to tremble. Though she silently told her nerves to calm down, she knew that she would worry him... the two rather nervous people were alike in that sense as well as others.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"N-no! It... it's fine. Really!" Lem quickly moved to soothe the girl as he noticed her lips twitching into a frown as well as the generally trembly state of her body. Holding up both his hands, he quickly shook his head as he offered a soft, albeit amiable, laugh. "I... I just never really noticed it so much anymore. I... I'm glad that you think it's cute. Really..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sasurai smiled softly, still trembling from the sense of panic, but calming down, "Gomen... I-I can't help but-but worry sometimes." She blushed slightly, "I-I think it's very... very... cute... chou kawaii..." She laughed softly, meeting his amiable laugh, relieved to know he wasn't offended. Mousy let out a sigh of relief himself, since watching from his perch, he could sense when his old friend panicked. Congrats to Lemy, for he gained mousy points.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arvel was enjoying himself immensely. He never had this many cute guys around him. Jeremy was one of the few guys who would even talk to him, so having two wildly popular -- even if he hadn't recognized them -- and hot guys flirting with him was fun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lukas pretended to give Sam's statement some serious thought. "Well..." he said at last, "That's real sweet of you, Sammy... but there's the problem, you see... If you strain it *before* you get around to me... well... you see the difficulty, I'm sure..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mm. I understand how you can worry." Again, Lem shook his head as his soft smile only grew. Of course, he knew what it was to worry, but, well, sometimes you just have to stop, if just to get a little joy from life. "Still, I hope you can stop, even just a little, even just for now..." "C-cute..." He murmured quietly as his flush only rose, only deepened. Smiling in a rather silly fashion, he dipped his head and, dropping his hand from his hair, he worked the fingers of this together with the fingers of the other. "Th-thank... thank you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Ah, yea. I see your point..." Sam nodded to Lukas' words and, as he considered these, he one again took to snuggling and nuzzling poor Arvel. Still, after a moment, he turned to the Cajun with a wide grin. "Well! Only one answer for that, really..."
