Hearing the desperate plea of Baby, a dying Rodan limps back into the fight. After being easily shot out of the air by SuperMechaGodzilla, Rodan collapses onto the prone form of Godzilla. When Rodan dies his life energy pours out of his body and is sponged up by Godzilla. While the crew of SuperMechaGodzilla thought they were defeating both mosters at once, they instead gave Godzilla the chance to win.

Much to her surprise Miki sees Godzilla's posterior brain regenerate as Godzilla rapidly recovers from the damage done to him by SuperMechaGodzilla. The energy flowing through Godzilla is so potent that it pulses back into MechaGodzilla and even into Miki's goggles [Ouch!]

More powerful than ever and now mad as hell, Godzilla makes short work of the crippled SuperMechaGodzilla. The combined power of Rodan and Godzilla not only makes for a natural equivalent to the combination of SuperMechaGozilla, it's more powerful than the mechanical simulation.
