| Downhill biking |
| Maandagochtend 05:30 was het vertrek. Per bus vanuit Huaraz de Cordillera Negra opgeklommen, het gebergte dat de Callej�n de Huaylas scheidt van de kust. De pas, het hoogste punt waar de weg overheen gaat, heet Punta Cayan en ligt op 4.200 meter hoogte. Daar worden de fietsen uitgeladen, en bereiden we ons voor om ons dik 4.000 meter naar beneden te storten. Krankzinnig eigenlijk, als je erover nadenkt! De GGD raadt het af om m��r dan 300 hoogtemeters per dag te veranderen, en mochten het er eens 1.000 op ��n dag zjin, nou, dan moet er toch zeker een dag rust ingelast worden! Nu denderen we dis vier hoogtekilometers een berg af, in een paar uur. Het was g��f!!! Bij de foto's wederom alleen Engelse en Spaanse commentaren, sorry! Maar anders vind ik nooit tijd om alle foto's erop te zetten... Er staan alweer 150 nieuwe foto's te trappelen van ongeduld.... |
| Monday morning 05:30 AM: leaving for the coast. First, by bus, climbing all the way up to the highest point of that day: the pass Punta Cayan (4.200 m), from where the road goes all the way down towards the coastal desert. there we unload the bikes, and prepare ourselves on a 4.000 meters altitude fall!!! Crazy actually, if you think that a change of 1.000 altitude meters is already considered not recommendable... Anyway, we were doing four times as much on a bike. And it was great!!! |
| Segunda-feira 05:30, partida � costa. Primeiro subimos toda a Cordillera Negra em bus, at� ao ponto mais alto deste dia: o passo "Punta Cayan", a 4.200 metros. L� em cima sac�mos as bicicletas do carro, e nos preparamos para uma baixada de mais que 4.000 metros! Totalmente maluco, claro, mas foi t���ooo fixe! E legal tamb�m! Pensando que muitas organiza��es m�dicas considerem 1.000 metros j� impropiado... ;-) Bem, os comentarios outra vez s� est�o em ingl�s e espanhol, disculpem! Mas sen�o fa�o isso nunca acabo de por todas as fotos que eu quero nessas p�ginas... Sorte! |
| Lunes, 5:30 AM. Partimos en bus y subimos toda la Cordillera Negra hasta la Punta Cayan a 4.200 metros sobre el nivel del mar. All� sacamos las bicis y nos preparamos a una aventura bien loca: bajar toda esta cordillera en una bicicleta. M�s de 4.000 altimetros, mientras que tantas organizaciones m�dicas dicen que m�s de 1.000 metros de diferencia en altura en un dia ya no es recomendable... �Bac�n! �La bajada era linda! �Disfuten las fotos! |
