NOTICE: SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING POSTPONED
NOTICE is hereby given that the Special General Meeting of the Guelph Field Naturalists scheduled for Thursday, February 28, 2008 has been POSTPONED INDEFINITELY.
Negotiations regarding the possible acquisition of the �Hall�s Pond � Valeriote� property are continuing, but we are not ready to present a proposal for the GFN membership to consider. Please watch the GFN Newsletter for notice of a re-scheduled Special General Meeting.

We welcome new and returning members to our indoor meetings that occur every second Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Arboretum Centre (see Indoor Programs for details). Be sure to check out the Outdoor Trips and Bird Wing pages for other ways to enjoy nature with our club.

Credit card donations are now accepted on-line through �CanadaHelps�, a registered charity that collects donations for many Canadian charities, and immediately sends the donors a charitable income tax receipt.
1) Log on to their secure site: 
and type Guelph Field Naturalists in the search field. When the search results show �Guelph Field Naturalists� with a number and address, press the red �Go� button.
2) In the �Charity Profile,� press the red �Donate Now� button. In �Donation Details,� fill in the amount of your donation, and select either �one-time donation� or �monthly donation.�
3) For �Fund Designation,� if you want the gift of a CD copy of �Birder & Dragonfly Watchers Sightings Explorer Software,� select the fund with that name. Or, you may select the �General Fund.�
4) In �Message/Instructions,� you may type any special requests (for example, �Don�t mail the software. Call me and I�ll pick it up.�) Any �Dedications� are your choice.
5) Proceed to the �Giving Basket� and review the details you have entered. If correct, press �Checkout.� Follow the instructions to enter your personal information for the tax receipt, and move on to enter your Credit Card information. You�ll be given the chance to review (or cancel) before you press �submit.�
You�ll receive your charitable tax receipt by e-mail (as an attachment), and if you have elected to receive the �Sightings Explorer Software,� GFN will send out your CD along with instructions on receiving �help� and support in using the program.
