Things to know about Detective Nick Knight:
1) "He's Joe Cool"--Thanks Schanke!
2) "He looks good in leather."--Thanks again Schanke but we figured that part on our own.

When we first meet Nick Knight he's entering a crime scene and being hounded by reporters. This is not a guy whose bad side you wanna be on. He wears a leather jacket like he was born in it. His crisp white dress shirt stands out among the black leather jacket and black slacks. Every single item in his wardrobe is supposed to suggest this standoffish and dangerous quality of Nick's persona. The questionable style choices of the early 1990s don't always make that possible and in other instances wardrobe is used to show Nick's more empathetic nature but for the most part dark and mysterious Nick Knight is the objective.
Popular culture often dictates that vampires are physically dark--dark hair, dark eyes, and dark motives. Nick Knight bucks that trend. In Forever Knight blue eyed, fair haired Welsh born actor Geraint Wyn Davies plays Nick Knight. An attractive and magnetic actor Wyn Davies fully captures the brooding and guilt ridden vampire cop yet producers were still concerned that audiences would have difficulty identifying him as a vampire. In an interview to promote the first batch of episodes Wyn Davies commented that that concern led to the decision to have him sport facial hair  and crop his blond hair short. That contributed to a dark presence for Nick Knight.
