Our Lady of the Wind church was built during
the Byzantine era
Here are the people from many areas in Lebanon
and Tourists from all over the world visit the
church to celebrate Virgin Mary's Day.
Praying, Lighting candles on the sides of its way and on the whole beach next to
it.
In August 14th night, the most guys swim till the
morning after finishing celebrating.
The Icon of Virgin Mary
From the
inside, the church is decorated with many "icons" painted on its walls
(Peintures Murales). Because they were painted hundreds of years ago, the images
can be viewed only when the wall is wetted with clean water!
One of its
wonderful "icons" is of the Virgin Mary. It is painted on the church's
right-side wall.
