6th to 8th, Seniors: 9th and 10th, Ambassadors: 11th and 12th. In October, Abbey and Ms. Brenda attended Gold Award training soAbbey could get started on her Gold Award Project. Abbey is also working on a religious award, Mary, The First Disciple. In January 2009 we had a growth spurt, adding more girls and adult volunteers. Our first meeting was January 12. We are in full swing, selling cookies, earning patches and having lots of fun! Here is how we are accomplishing our goals.

While Brenda met with parents to discuss troop business, Niki met with the girls to play cookie games and to learn more about cookie sales. They started learning the promise, sang songs, played cookie match games and had fun.
We made "I Promise" flowers, learned about our Girl Scout founder Juliette Low by reading and acting out a story of her life...even our parents got into the game. We found out what Kapers are--Caitlin was our flag bearer to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, Esme led the Promise, Hannah helped us with the Law, J'Niaha and Taylor were Ms. Brenda's helpers, Gabby, Halie and Heather helped pass out snack. We sang Grace to the tune of "Jingle Bells." A special thank you to Ms Kathy for bringing snack for us.
SU 632 la Fete de Cajun Louisiane Lock-in
Cornia, Esme, Halie, Hannah, Heather, Gabby, Taylor, Kathy, Tonya, Candida, Angela, Harlee, Niki and Brenda had fun at the lock in. We made our own king cakes with donuts, made Mardi Gras masks, played Cajun games, danced at the Fais-Do-Do, attended a parade, watched "Peter Pan", donated books for the service project and spent the night.
Caitlin, Cassidy, Cornia, Esme, Gabby, Halie, Hannah, Harlee, J'Niaha, Jada, Jena, Kaitlyn and Stevie went to Lowe's in Gonzales and with the help of our parents and Lowe's workshop leader, Shanovia Pastterson, we made pretty wooden Valentine jewelry boxes.
We learned about the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts-WAGGGS.
We also talked about the World Centers--Pax Lodge in England, Our Chalet in Switzerland, Our Cabana in Mexico, and Sangam in India. We colored our own WAGGGS pin, Ms Angela and Emse taught us to speak in Spanish and Ms. Camie taught us to speak in French. We also played "Kim's Game" a game popular in India.
