We gave our time and hearts this year to many community service projects. We participated in the "Adopted a Grandparent" program. We visited Mrs. Samouel who lived at one of the local nursing homes. She was 96, didn't have any family left, so we became her family. We visited her, each taking a week and oftentimes we all went together to bring her gifts and other needed items.  We also assisted in several SU 631 events as volunteers--babysitting during parent meetings for recruitment and SU leader meetings,  helping with Thinking Day and Father Daughter Luau, Christmas caroling at local nursing homes and joining our fellow SU631 Girl Scout troops in the Gonzales Christmas parade. We attended JR Career Day and JR Sports Night. Of course we also sold cookies, went camping both at Marydale and Jellystone Park in Robert, LA. It was a fun, busy year!
