The Society's Charitable Activities
On occasion, the Society has awarded a $500 prize to the Fredericton High School student with the highest academic standing in, or who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in, the field of music.
The Society donates an annual sum of money for the upkeep and maintenance of facilities at Memorial Hall on the UNB Campus.
The Society has participated in community events such as Christmas and Canada Day parades.
A group of Society members gather each Christmas to serenade the residents of local seniors homes with a selection of Christmas carols.
On occasion, the Society stages benefit performances or donates proceeds from a performance to a worthy charity. In 1996, proceeds from the opening night of Pirates of Penzance were donated to the UNB Venture Campaign.
