Jamie Redknapp is the longest serving player at Anfield at the moment. He was signed by Liverpool Legend, Kenny Dalgish from Bournemouth for 350,000, during his time as Manager.

Jamie came to Liverpool, at just 17 years of age and he went on to be become the youngest player to appear in European competition as he played against french outfit, Auxerre in the UEFA Cup. This was Redknapp's debut for 'the reds'.

Redknapp, was named as the Liverpool skipper, after the depature of Paul Ince before the '99/'00 season. He, didn't have a good season as he was forced to sit out most of the season, due to a knee injury. (Redknapp, did come on as a substitute to score Liverpool's winning goal in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United)

The Liverpool skipper, was also forced to sit out the entire, treble-winning season due to injury, once again. he did, however, lift the F.A Cup at the Millenium stadium, which was one of the memorable moments of the season, according to Gerard Houllier.

Redknapp's international career has also been affected with injury, and he is yet to play in the World Cup, for his Country. He got his first cap, in1995 and has only ever scored once for England (against Belgium).
