Colorado testing of various snow machines
Steve sent this picture of sow machine testing at Camp Hale . His father was involved in the ordinance dept. and had a hand in choosing many of the machines that were used in WWII. Notce the M7's in the background.

Mess around a bit too much and you'll be pushing. This picture , courtesy of Steve again, shows the slow of the hill somewhat. I imagine the slope is  steeper than shown by the tracks slipping sideways in the snow.
An Alaskan moment
One of my favorite pictures of an M7 in Action. This M7 is on a glacier in Alaska in the late fifties or early sixties.  Handy cover and high visibilty orange paint add to the usefulness of this M7.
