We are the newly formed and recognized Japanese Culture club at Creek. What does that mean? People have congregated with a common interest in anything Japanese; from anime to tea ceremonies to Dance Dance Revolution. We are NOT the "anime club", so please get that straight.

What's planned for this club.

We are going to have T-shirts. We will collect the money and then send out for them. A contest will be held amongst the club members to determine what the design on the shirt will be.

For our community service, we're still pondering on what we'll do. Instead of the serenity garden (which we MIGHT still do), we're thinking about doing little puppet shows for the children's story hour at the Port Orange Public Library. You know, with cute little puppets portraying Japanese moral stories.

Next Homecoming Carnival, we are getting a booth. We did a boo-boo this year but that won't happen again. Also, we are definitely doing DDR.

Another idea is our "lending library", which is also going to contribute money to our club. Not sure when this will actually happen, but we'll organize a library where people contribute their anime and games for other members to borrow and enjoy. Some of the kinks are worked out but not all of them.

More to come! We've been busy with Homecoming but now that that's over we can concentrate on other things. We made $66 dollars at the carnival which is great, but we'll need your support since we are a new club!
