For those of you who do not, let me explain!
I've been a saab owner for the last 5 years... and every time something breaks on my car, I'm interested in how to fix it myself, or how to get the cheapest part possible to keep my car on the road.
This usually means finding a used part on ebay, or from a part supplier. In the past when I've done this, I've had much confusion about what part number I need, what year and model saab it can be found on, and if a similar part can be used from another model saab.
...I'll never have to wonder or guess again! Thanks to the 2001 version of SAAB'S VERY OWN EPC!
EPC stands for Electronic Parts Catalog! And it is the most extensive information database for part information I have ever seen, for ANY brand of car!
The 2001 version of the EPC that I use covers the following cars:
900 1986-1998
9000 1985-1998
9-3 1998-2002
9-5 1998-2002
Take a look at the pictures below, and see how EASY it is to find the part you need. You can look up parts several different ways... by either the model and year, VIN number, part number search... and combinations of these...
I'll try to explain what you are looking at in each picture, but if you have any questions about what you're seeing, search ebay for this program...
