| ENGINE PULL CONTINUED | |||||||||
| RIGHT: Here is a picture of the engine after being cleaned, painted, and with the bottom end re-assembled with new oil-pickup tube in place on Saturday afternoon. It doesnt look to terrible for a "rush job". | |||||||||
| LEFT: Here is the motor with the new rear main seal, oil pain and gasket installed, front cover, crank sensor, balancer, starter, etc, all ready to go. Next in line were the headers, valve covers, intake, and front accessories. It wont be long now! | |||||||||
| RIGHT: Alright! Saturday evening the motor is finally ready to be dropped back in! In case you didnt notice, I had the valve covers, intake, and doghouse powdercoated black. I think it looks great, especially after polishing the raised surfaces off. I wish I would have had more time to clean the accessories up and paint/coat the headers, but I didnt. Hey, it will work for a daily ride. | |||||||||
| LEFT: I almost forgot to show a picture of the engine bay after a quick cleaning and paint job. Again, I was on a time schedule so I did the best I could. I removed a TON of grease and grime from the frame and crossmember with a powerwasher (thanks Bryan), then painted it with rustoleum spray paint. It didnt turn out too bad. The inner fenderwells are the only really ugly part of the engine bay now. Oh well, someday Ill make it a show car, right? ;) | |||||||||
