| RIGHT: Here is a picture of the motor back in its home about 11pm Saturday night. Now its time to hook up the wiring harness, all the vacuum lines, the downpipe, all the front accessories, and of course bolt the transmission to the motor. | ||||||||||
| LEFT: This is a picture of Bryan and I hooking up all those hard to reach sensors on the front of the motor. As you can see, pretty much everything is installed and hooked up on the top at this point. The only things left to do include hooking up the starter wires, bolting the converter to the flywheel, installing the crossover-pipe, and of course setting the cam sensor. | ||||||||||
| RIGHT: Here is a picture of the motor about 1200 miles later. We ended up starting the car up at about 3am on Sunday morning. We had some trouble at first getting oil pressure because I guess I didnt prime the oil pump enough? :-( It wasnt a pretty sound to say the least. But hey, what doesnt kill it can only make it stronger, right? Thats what Im thinking, lol. So far its been fine. It currently has 136K miles on it. Yes folks, thats 17K miles since mid July 2002!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||||||||||
| LEFT: Yet another shot of the finished product. I will soon have a black up-pipe, and a black turbo shield so the engine bay matches. Right now its not exactly a high priority. Once I figure out the problem with my flywheel/converter, I will take it to the track and see if I pick up any from last year. As of now, the car feels great, pulls hard and smokes the tires pretty good. It was a lot of work in 3 days, and thanks to my friends help, it got done and I drove it to work Monday morning. Thanks guys!!!! | ||||||||||
