�How are you doing?� she asked as she sipped the double mocha cappuccino.

�Great, but the caseload is building. We�re having a series of vandalisms across the east side of town and we�re wondering how to catch the prep.�

Rose nodded and inched her hand across the table, hoping to graze his hand.

�Oh, you need the sugar?� he asked, when he noticed her hand near his and also near the sugar bowl.

Rose blushed and nodded.
Rose was interrupted by the phone ringing and dashed to it.

�I�ve been waiting for you call ALL DAY!� She squealed, �You won�t believe what happened on my date with Jacob. Well, it wasn�t really a date, more like coffee, but it�s close, so I�m making progress!�

�Rose�its Jacob. I�we have a problem, a homicide and we need your help.�

Rose felt her face heat up and she quickly took the address and jumped into her car.
After the short drive to the upper side of town, in which Rose mentally abused herself about blurting her entire heart on the phone and vowing to get Caller-ID as soon as possible, she entered the large house and looked around. It was chaos everywhere and Jacob waved to her.

�Hey, thanks for coming. Listen, I have the witnesses in the living room ready to undergo questioning if you want to.�

�Of course I want to.� Rose said and walked to the living room, hoping she acted professional towards Jacob.
