Worf commanding Defiant on 10 day convoy escort duty.
In wartime it is the duty of every soldier to fight. It is a time for warriors to do great deeds, to triumph in glorious battles, not waste away protecting a shipment of stembolts.
Bashir of the opinion combat duty would help distract Worf from Jadzia.
Klingon advance stopped against Monac IV, casualties 30 percent. They could have been higher. Remain bottled up at Chin’toka.
Worf unable to sleep. Wedding picture sit by bed. Worf wears Russian peasant clothing off duty. Goes to Vic Fontaine program, sing the song, All the Way. Jadzia’s favorite song. Sits with fists clenched holding in. Worf wrecks the lounge.
Vic calls in Bashir and Quark, about Worf. Not the first time he’s busted up the joint.
Bashir – He’s having a hard time accepting her death. Something’s wrong. Klingons usually have a shorter mourning period than humans. They accept death more readily than we do.
Bashir enlists O’Brien to talk to Worf, with 2301 bottle of bloodwine.
It’s been a long time since O’Brien and Worf have shared a bottle.
Very smooth.
Who can forget Lt. Barclay, three musketeer’s program. Talk about Alexander. Growing up in Russia. Best way to eat gagh. 0400, third bottle of bloodwine, before Worf even mentioned Jadzia.
You should never try to match drinks with a Klingon.
Worf upset because Jadzia not in Sto-Vo-kor. As far as Worf is concerned, Jadzia is a Klingon, she did join the House of Martok. She’s not in Sto-Vo-Kor, For one thing, she never ate the heart of one of her enemies. She didn’t die in glorious battle. The way for Worf to ensure that Jadzia gets into Sto-Vo-Kor is for him to win a great battle in her name. No wonder he’s so frustrated with convoy duty.
Quark – Why does everything with Klingons have to involve bloodshed?
O’Brien knows General Martok due to arrive on station tomorrow morning, they should ask him to help Worf.
Martok joins Worf in holosuite bat’leth program. Defend yourself, Worf! How do you like convoy duty? I was afraid you were getting soft. I need a first officer on a dangerous mission. Dangerous enough to ensure Jadzia a place in Sto-Vo-Kor.
Worf twists bat’leth out of Martok’s hands and knocks him to the ground
It will be a great victory.
I will make sure of it.
An entire Klingon fleet failed to destroy the Dominion shipyards at Monac IV. Bashir is going, he is going to help Jadzia get into Sto-Vo-Kor. He was close to her and this gives him a chance to honor her memory.
Quark – Imagine what Sto-Vo-Kor must be like – Hordes of rampaging Klingons, fighting and singing, sweating and belching. Why would Jadzia spend eternity there?

O’Brien and Bashir stand at bird-of prey central consoles.
Destroy shipyard by causing sun to emit electromagnetic pulse to trigger solar plasma ejection.
It will be a glorious firestorm that will illuminate the gates of Sto-Vo-Kor itself and provide a fitting welcome for Jadzia.
Worf jealous of Jadzia's friendship with Quark, O'Brien and Bashir. He owes them nothing, they are here hoping to prove themselves worthy of her, but the truth is none of them could be worthy of her or understand the type of woman she was. Worf allowed them to come on this mission and pay honor to her memory.
Martok – what about me Worf? Would you rather I hadn’t come on this mission either?
Worf- With you it is different. You are a Klingon, and Jadzia was a member of your house.
Martok – These men were her friends. They honor her with their presence.
Quark complains about the gagh. In the cafeteria surrounded by Klingons. he thinks they agreed with him about the need for variety.
When they discussed their day, often Jadzia would mention Bashir or O’Brien or Quark. Describe in excruciating detail some new scheme of Quark’s. it seemed one of them was always with Worf and Jadzia. She was his wife, his parmachkai. He did not like having to share her. Worf wanted to get Jadzia into Sto-Vo–kor by himself. He wanted it to be his gift to her. He is pleased they are here.
O’Brien has never heard Worf apologize to anyone.
O’Brien directs mission, Martok doesn’t know how they do that.
Decloak, prepare to fire, on Worf’s command.
It didn’t work, can’t go until we complete our mission

All Jadzia’s friends seem uncomfortable around Ezri, except Sisko and Quark
Jadzia and Quark late night tongo games. Ezri remembers Jadzia won their last game with a full consortium, Quark owes 10 strips gpl.
Worf enters Quarks, but leaves upon seeing Ezri there.
Next morning
Jadzia told Worf all about Trill tradition, they discussed them. Ezri can see Worf is in pain, heartache.
Worf to Ezri – Jadzia died and went to Sto-Vo-Kor. I do not know you. Nor do I wish to know you.
Ezri tells Sisko Sisko intimidates Worf.
Sisko talks to Starfleet Medical, make her a full counselor and Lt.
Ezri to Bashir – If Worf hadn’t come along, it would have been you
Worf comes to Bashir, holds him up against the wall – Do not toy with me  Doctor, I know how you felt about Jadzia. I saw you with Ezri. Stay away from her. If you dishonor Jadzia’s memory, you will regret it. And that goes for you too, Ferengi!
O’Brien comes to Worf with a bottle of bloodwine. Bashir sent him.
Worf – Oh, no. Not again.
O’Brien – Now, if we can just skip the drinking and get to the talking, I’m game.
Worf with small torch honing his bat’leth – This has nothing to do with jealousy, I know Bashir cared for Jadzia but this woman is not Jadzia. And treating her as if she was dishonors her memory.
O’Brien – No, treating Ezri like a stranger dishonors Jadzia’s memory.
Worf – It does not make any sense. She is not Jadzia, yet she is. How can I honor the memory of the woman I loved when she is not really dead?!
O’Brien – How do you think Jadzia would want you to treat Ezri?
Starfleet launching new offensive at Kalandra.
Worf comes to Ezri – I am not sure I have treated you the way Jadzia would have wanted. I loved her with all my heart.
Ezri – And she loved you.
Worf – Part of me is glad to know she is not gone forever. But in some ways it would be easier if she were. Jadzia would not have wanted you to leave because of me. Stay and be station counselor. It will be a long time before I can accept what has happened. Until then
Ezri – you need your breathing room. I understand

At the time Ezri had thought rejoining DS 9 crew was the right move, fulfilling a longing within her. Now it seemed like a mistake. What ever Ezri did put people in mind of Jadzia. Maddening, frustrating and very sad. She was like Jadzia's ghost, haunting them. Jadzia haunted Ezri as well.

Night
Tom and Harry are on last chapter of Captain Proton program Satan’s Robot Conquers the World. No Voyager personnel in Constance Goodheart role.
B’E’s staff is going stir crazy in the monotony of the void
B’E and Tom play a game of durotta, a board game of subtlety, square and cylindrical wooden pieces, 3 am in the mess hall.
B’E – Predictable. The Novokavich gambit. You always use that opening move.
Tom – That’s because you always fall for it.
B’E – I feel we’ve played this match a hundred times
Tom – Derada is a game of subtlety
B’E – Too subtle for me
Tom – I’ll bet
B’E –  what is that supposed to mean?
Tom – Well, if it doesn’t involve Klingon pain sticks.
B’E puts game piece down and walks away – goodnight.
Tom – talk about predictable
B’E – You don’t want to start a fight with me right now, not a 3 am.
Tom – What’s the difference? You’re angry 24 hours a day.
B’E – everything is a joke to you.
Tom – Why don’t we might a schedule? A fight rotation. I can start one then you can start one.
B’E – I’m really tired of these games
Neelix – Stop it! You’re senior officers, you should be setting an example.
Janeway’s stubborn as a Klingon, to put it mildly.
B’E explains theta radiation conversion technology to Malons. B’E gets upset that the Malon doesn’t want to endanger his livelihood.
B’E the first to interrupt Janeway’s heroic going away speech. Tom refuses to carry out order. They could all be hanged for mutiny.
Take Me Out to the Holosuite

Worf on challenge from T’Kumbra – We will destroy them
Two weeks from now, in holodeck 5. baseball.
Worf, Nog and Kira study baseball rules in Ops.
Vulcans stronger than anyone, except Worf and genetically engineered Bashir
After practice Bashir has to realign Worf’s sytomatic bone. Rom responsible for injury.
Worf – If Captain Solok is taking the time to conduct reconnaissance, he must be worried.
Curzon and Jadzia always wondered why Sisko disliked Solok, but he would never talk about it
Worf – it is a dishonorable motive
Worf – Death to the opposition!
Worf calls time, at bat, ball 3, strike 2, out 2, Kira on base. Do not rush me. strike three. should have been a ball.
Worf – Find him and kill him!
Worf signed the baseball, he’s quiet at the party

Class-two claustrophobia, what Starfleet cadets call 6 cadets, weeks long training cruises in class-two shuttles, not built for comfort. Tom, B’E, remember it well. Idea of Delta Flyer born.
Tom, B’E, Seven, Doctor, rescued from shuttle mission to proto nebula.
B’E sleeps on mattress, with pillow, covers. Long black satin nightgown.
The one day she gets to sleep in the Doctor calls her to fix his mobile emitter.
B’E takes sonic shower first thing.
B’E works with Ens. Mulchaey.
B’E – How many Borg hitchhikers are we going to pick up on this trip? Maybe this is the Collective’s new strategy, they don’t assimilate, they just show up and look helpless. We don’t know what this drone will turn into.
Neelix – It will become what we help it to become
B’E – How Starfleet of you.
Seven describes B’E – Chief Engineer, Klingon-human hybrid. She possesses an extensive knowledge of this vessel’s systems, as well as a volatile temperament.
The Drone One helps B’E create algorithm to predict proto nebula expansion.
Chrysalis
Klingons around Quarks, the Promenade
Extreme Risk
B’E has been orbital skydiving, and other dangerous programs, with safeties off for months.
B’E putting Seven in charge very unusual. B’E complains of being ill.
Designing ship from scratch engineer’s dream. B’E goes to Tom with thruster specs, he offers her dinner and bottle of burgundy. Tom and B'Elanna talk about creating a ship many times, really collaborate, his piloting skills, her engineering skills. Now B'Elanna is not interested in anything. He puts his hands on her shoulders, she removes them.
Holodeck Program Torres 216 - fighting Cardassians barehanded in cave, safeties off.
B’E goes to Neelix to catch up, Neelix was expecting one of those scathing but affectionate comment she always makes about his cooking.
She was hoping for banana pancakes. Her grandmother used to make them for her when she was a kid. Always put a smile on her face. She only takes a bite, has to go back to work.
B’E severely injured testing new shuttle hull for microfactures on holodeck with safeties off. 12 hours. Doctor found internal bleeding, fractures vertebrae, contusions, cranial trauma, some life threatening. Injuries weeks and months old, treated by someone with first year nursing knowledge.
B’E spending a lot of time in holodeck over last few months.
Janeway worried about her, wants to help. takes her off shuttle project. Janeway talks to Tom and Chakotay.
Tom had no idea of B’E’s injuries. She never complained about being hurt, but then she’s barely speaking to me lately. Tom doesn’t know what holoprograms B’E has been using. Captain has Chakotay go through B'Elanna's personal holodeck programs.
Doctor lets B’E go back to her quarters, he thinks familiar surroundings will speed her recovery. "Clinical depression."
She has been running holo programs without safeties, but she’s not putting anyone else at risk. Chakotay comes, the new ship’s counselor, throws her into Holo-program Torres Zeta One.
Holo-program Torres Zeta One - Maquis slaughtered in cave. Li-Paz (m), Meyer, Nelson, Sahreen. Chakotay recognizes them all. Created day after received news of Maquis death. Ran it for only 47 seconds. Then she started running the most dangerous programs she could find, with the safeties off.
B'Elanna doesn't feel anything, about dead friends, about Tom, about her job. At least if she sprains her ankle she, feels something, knows she’s still alive. Chakotay being a little dense, Chakotay angry, sad, guilty about not being with adopted family.
Age 6 - father walked out on me. Age 19 - kicked out of Starfleet. Few years later – separated from Maquis. Just when she started feeling safe on Voyager, Chakotay tells her all Maquis friends have been slaughtered. The way I figure it I’ve lost every family I’ve ever had.
Chakotay – You can’t stop living your life. We’ll figure it out together.
B'Elanna afraid of losing family again, can't feel.
B’E wants to go on Delta Flyer first untested flight. Still the best engineer you’re got, I need to do this.
B’E – I heard you might need some help keeping this thing from falling apart.
Tom – Welcome aboard.
B’E – Vorik, you’re in my seat.
Vorik – Excuse me, Lt.
B'Elanna engineering skill saves shuttle from micro fracture problem while retrieving probe from gas giant.
After rescue Chakotay – How are you?
B’E – You mean am I back to my old charming self? Thanks for what you did in the holodeck, but if you ever do anything like that again I’ll break your neck.
Smiles over replicated banana pancakes with maple syrup.
Death of a Neutron Star by Eric Kotani
P44 B’Elanna actually snorted at Seven’s comment, but said nothing
P98 Captain, Torres said, it’s even worse than it seems. The half-Klingon was clearly shaken.
P155 B’Elanna nodded, undoubtedly already thinking about the next problem. Over the last hour or so Tyla had come to recognize that look
P189 Tuvok nodded and the shuttle’s hatch slid closed without him saying another word.
Well, good-bye to you, too, B’Elanna said to no one in particular
P191 The Qavok ships looked like a flock of birds in flight. A flock of very ugly and dangerous birds. Janeway took a slow, deep breath and tried to relax. These were Qavok ships, not Klingon or Cardassian, they were no match for Voyager
P247 One hour, people, B’Elanna barked, as she banged her fist on an uncooperative control panel
Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
Defiant needs new stabilizer before Sisko goes out on patrol again in three days
Martok and Worf in cargo bay.
Martok drops empty blood wine shipping container – Where are my cases of bloodwine?!
Worf – I do not know, General. But I promise you I will find out.
Weyoon 6 tells Odo weak spot in Jem’Hadar fighter shields
Martok comes after O’Brien growling. 16 cases of bloodwine missing. Sent to Martok by Sirella. The shipping containers have hollows to hold bottles securely.
Martok – I want that bloodwine back here by tomorrow. Understood?
Martok and Worf come up in turbolift to Ops with two bottles. Yelling for Chief.
Martok hands O’Brien a bottle – Chief, I want you to have this. Consider it an apology.
Ensign Nog returned from his trip with 16 cases of 2309, a very good year.
Martok leans in to O’Brien – an even better vintage than the one my wife sent me. heh heh.
Nog – Any time you’re shopping for wines or spirits, my cousin Gant is the man to see.
Worf – We will keep that in mind.
Martok and Worf go to upper Ops level.
In the Flesh
Species 8472 member simulating Commander Valerie Archer says she’s assigned first officer to the IKS Hor-CHA as first officer. She drinks pale orange Klingon martini; gin, vermouth, dash of blood wine, in martini glass. She’s on duty!
Chakotay – Bloodwine, never touch the stuff.
Janeway was last at HQ, general orders for Voyager’s first mission, proceed to the Badlands, find the Maquis.
Chakotay was at Starfleet HQ on March 3, 2368, when he gave his resignation to Adm. Nimembeh, teaches Tactical Analysis at Academy.
Du cha mee gagh roch 'Smile when you eat the gagh.' Boothby’s advice.
Boothby – Federation principles, targ manure!   Colorful metaphor.
Once More Unto the Breach
O’Brien and Bashir discuss Davy Crockett and his suicidal actions at the Alamo at the bar at Quark’s. Worf, studying a padd at the bar, butts in – You are both wrong. The only real question is whether you believe in the legend of Davy Crockett or not. If you do, then there should be no doubt in your mind that he died a hero’s death. If you do not believe in the legend then he was just a man, and it does not matter how he died. Worf gets up and walks away. Bashir and O’Brien are effectively silenced. Klingon warrior woman preens in the background.
At home, Worf takes off sash and puts it over back of chair. Door chime.
Kor stands there, leather garb.
Kor – Nuq’nuh, Worf. it’s good to see you, my friend.
Worf – I welcome you to my home.
Kor steps across the threshold.
Worf – May I offer you some refreshment?
Kor – I would be honored to share a bottle of bloodwine with the son of Mogh. I heard the news about Jadzia.
Worf pauses pouring the drinks – she died a warrior.
Kor – I expected nothing less.
Worf’s bar area against wall, one bottle, mugs for bloodwine. Two beer cans. Shelves up wall.
Kor raises mug – To absent comrades.
Worf drinks without saying anything.
Kor – Mmmm 2309. very good.
Worf offers – Sit.
Kor – The war goes well for you, Worf? um, a long list of victories to your credit, I trust?
Worf – I have been    fortunate.
Kor – Oh ho ho, the way of the warrior is not a humble path. Show some pride in your accomplishments. You’ve earned it.
Worf – I will try. And does the war go well for you, Kor?
Kor’s face drops – No, Worf. it does not go well for me. it seems my services are not required in the present conflict.
Worf – But you are Kor, a Dahar Master. The man who held the Korma Pass against T’nag. Your reputation alone should have assured you a command.
Kor – I also have a reputation for a certain ruthless quality towards those who stand in my way. Mind you, it’s not entirely undeserved. In truth, I rather enjoy being feared by my fellow officers. However, there’s a price to be paid for such single-minded ambition. I have made enemies, perhaps more than were necessary. I have no influence left in the empire. even as our entire race grapples with the Dominion there’s no place for an old man with too many enemies and not enough friends. That’s why I’ve come here tonight. It’s not easy for me to beg you for help, but I have nowhere else to turn. Help me fight again, Worf. help me end my life as I’ve lived it, as a warrior.
Martok in office on DS 9 with elderly aide Darok. Just a room off ordinary corridor. Nothing special outside door. Spiraling ram’s horns, real or artistic, on desk. Klingon display on large wall terminal. Darok in light colored fur outfit.
Martok – How many more reports does the High Council require?
Darok, frail voice - As many as last time. And Starfleet isss still waiting for your signature on these repair requests.
Martok – There will come a day, Darok, when your services as my aide will no longer be required.
Darok not intimidated by Martok glowering over him – I look forward to that day with great anticipation. Until then, [trails after pacing Martok]
Worf enters unannounced.
Martok – Ah Worf, it is good to see you. Thank you, Darok. [Darok exits into hallway]  it’s a pity Captain Sisko frowns on summary executions. What can I do for you?
Worf – Kor, the Dahar Master came to see me last night. He has been unable to find a command
Martok interrupts sharply – Tell me you’re not going to ask me to give that man a ship.
Worf – Well, I had hoped
Martok cuts Worf off – Then your hopes are in vain. That man is not welcome in my house and I will certainly not have him commanding a ship in my fleet.
Worf – General, Kor is a friend, and I have already
Martok rants in again – Not another word! Do you hear? Not one word! Now get out of here before I forget we are brothers.
Worf doesn’t understand, but leaves without looking back. Stops once he’s in the hall to ponder. Talks with Kor about Martok’s hostility.
Martok goes over strategy with Sisko in Sisko’s office.
Martok –attack Trelka V starbase, then push deeper into Cardassian territory. I’ll hit the Manora shipyard, the Jem’Hadar breeding facility on Sheva Two, the supply depots in the Borias cluster.
Sisko – It would take half the ninth fleet just to destroy Trelka V.
Martok – I don’t intend to destroy the base, just damage it, throw them off balance then move on to the next target. Imagine, the chaos we’ll cause once we’re in behind their lines.
Sisko – A cavalry raid
Martok doesn’t understand the reference.
Sisko – Ancient earth soldiers mounted on horseback. They had the speed to charge behind enemy lines to stir up trouble and the mobility to keep from being caught. How many ships will you take?
Martok – Five birds of prey. The battlecruisers are too slow, too unwieldy for a mission like this. the Defiant should remain here Just in case the Jem’Hadar try their own cavalry raid. But it may be prudent for the Defiant and a dozen or so other starships to be waiting for us when we return.
Sisko – You mean you might be bringing company back with you?
Martok – I’m sure you’ll be ready to welcome them.
Sisko – With phasers charged.
Martok grins and chuckles. Slaps Sisko on the arm.
Bird of prey Ch'tang docked head first at DS 9, engines glowing. The bridge’s viewscreen has field of stars displayed. female 2nd Kolana gets ship ready. Leads Martok and Darok around bridge. Darok notes things on padd with stylus. Worf stands waiting for a moment with Martok.
Kolana - Our disruptor targeting sensors need to be replaced as well as our guidance system relays.
Martok – Make a note of that for Chief O’Brien. He should give the Ch’Tang first priority. [Darok goes over to wall station with Kolana. Martok goes to Worf] So, if you have something to ask do it now before Darok buries me with more paperwork.
Worf – I wish to speak with you about Kor. Now, I know you have strong feelings about this, but
Martok starts to explode – Clear the bridge!
Darok gets everyone to safety, exiting across bridge at right side door.
Martok stands beside Worf, glaring away from him – I did not expect to hear anything further on this subject from you.
Worf – And I did not expect to be forbidden to speak with you on any subject. Have I become a shuvak, to be ordered about like Darok?
Martok sighs and sits in captain’s chair – No. of course not. Very well. Talk and be done with it.
Worf – Kor came to see me, asking my help, as a friend. He is an old man, with no family and no influence left in the empire. he asked nothing except for the chance to fight and die as a Klingon warrior. I told him I would speak with you about finding him a command in the fleet.
Martok whispers – I would not give that man the gnawed bones of my last meal. Much less command of a ship.
Worf – But why? There is no blood feud between our houses and Kor has said he has not even met you.
Martok smiles ironically at that – you can would a man without ever seeing his face. When I was a boy my family still lived in the lowlands of Ketha province. We had very little but it didn’t matter. We were a family of warriors. 15 generations had served as soldiers of the empire but my father had higher hopes for me. he wanted his son to become an officer. Hmm, it took a great deal of effort but eventually, he found someone willing to sponsor me. I passed my entrance exam on my first attempt and all that remained was final approval by the oversight Council, a simple formality. My application was rejected by one member of that Council: Kor. Why? Kor’s family descends from the Imperial court itself. Kor is ‘of the blood’ born to rule by the divine will of Kahless. And what was I? A boy from the Ketha lowlands. He could not bear the thought of someone like me joining the elite officer ranks, and so, to my father’s embarrassment and my everlasting shame, my application was denied. And with the mark of Kor on my record I could not join even as a common soldier. I spent five years as a civilian laborer aboard General Shivang’s flagship. then, as fortune would have it, the Romulans made a foolhardy attempt to board our ship. I earned a battlefield commission. Unfortunately, my father did not live to see that glorious day. And if Kor had had his way I would still be a civilian on that ship, cleaning the Officer’s Mess.
Worf – I understand but I must tell you that using my own authority I appointed Kor an officer in the Ninth Fleet.
Martok – Made him an officer, just like that? That’s the difference between his name and mine, his opens doors, mine closes them.
Worf – I did not anticipate
Martok cuts him off – It’s done! Your apology is not sought. But know this, Worf. Kor is your responsibility. I want nothing to do with him.
On DS 9 Kor at replimat with Ezri.
When they met he was shocked, then he looked at Ezri for signs of Jadzia and Curzon. Jadzia in the eyes, Curzon in the smile.
Kor – Do you remember breaking into the duke’s harem on Renavi?
Ezri – That is one of Curzon’s favorite memories.
Things awkward between Worf and Ezri when he comes up. Ezri exits, slapping Kor on shoulder with a see you later. Leans in to give him a peck on the cheek, too.
Ezri – It’s good to see you again, Kor.
Kor to Worf – Still the same old Dax, and yet not.
Worf – General Martok will not give you a command.
Kor slaps table – Kesh!
Worf – He says you struck his name from an officers list because his family comes form the Ketha lowlands.
Kor – Did I? I don’t recall. Of course, there were so many officers lists. I suppose it’s possible.
Worf – It is an unworthy reason to bar a man from serving the Empire.
Kor – Worf, you’ve been living among this democratic rabble for too long. I know your bloodline. We both come from noble houses. Among our people that still counts for something. If Martok is a true Klingon he should appreciate that.
Worf – He does not.
Kor snorts in disdain – Did he revoke my commission?
Worf – No, you will serve aboard the Ch’tang, [hesitates] as third officer.
Kor – Third?! Oh well, huh, no matter. I’ve overcome greater obstacles. Thank you Worf. you’re a true friend.
Worf – You will report aboard at 0700, and stay out of Martok’s way.
Kor grins agreeably - He will not even know I am there.
Worf gets up and leaves, Kor calls after him – Worf, what was the name of that ship? Ch’Tang! Of course. I’ll see you there.
Birds of prey depart DS 9. Onboard Ch'Tang, Kolana – All decks report ready. Defense systems on-line. Engine room standing by for warp speed. Transporter room reports that our last crew members have beamed aboard.
Martok deals with various palmpadds from Darok – Very well, signal the squadron. Prepare to get under way. Stand by to cloak.
Worf wonders around the bridge – Aye, sir.
Martok – Helm, set course 3-2-5 mark 0-0-3. full impulse till we clear the outer mark then go to
Kor walks in, up to Martok, stands over him – Third Officer Kor reporting for duty.
Young female Lt Synon at wall helm station breathes on awe – The Dahar Master.
Martok growls softly
Worf  – Take your station.
Kor nods his head slightly to Worf, moves back to console to right behind Martok. Kolana’s station to the left. Other crew look at him.
Martok – Return to your duties or I will find a crew that can. helmsman, I gave you an order.
Female Lt. Synon, helmsman, swings back – chay veh
The birds cloak as they depart DS 9, there is a large Vor’cha class vessel orbiting DS 9.
Darok stands in awe beside Martok, looking at Kor – Kor, here on our ship.
Martok doesn’t have patience for his excitement – Don’t you have something to do?
Darok shakes his head – No.
Martok – Then find something!
Darok goes over to Kor and shakes forearms – It is an honor to have you aboard with us.
Kor gentile – Thank you very much.
Kolana also shakes forearms with Kor – Welcome, Dahar Master.
Martok can see Kor behind him with his good eye. Growls softly.
Ezri, on DS 9 has been dreaming about Kor, about being on a Klingon bridge with him, going off into battle, singing songs, drinking bloodwine, which she still doesn’t like. Part of her wants to be out with Kor now. The memories she has of being with Kor or so vivid, she can’t bear the thought of losing him. The two of them side by side, just like it used to be.
Martok recounts adventure when Cardassian camp and relay station destroyed at Felton Prime walking among diners in mess hall. Long table, many people lean against wall.
Martok – Before the Cardassians ever knew we were there we destroyed the entire camp and the relay station.
Kolana – To General Martok, victor of Felton prime.
All shout Q’apla! And raise mugs. Martok waves it off.
Kor enters, people sitting stand,
Kolana – Let me have the honor to welcome the Dahar Master to the humble mess hall of the Ch’tang
Kor – Oh, sit, sit. You do me too much honor. On this voyage I am but the third officer. I expect no special treatment.
Young female Lt. Synon– May I serve you gagh, Dahar Master?
Kor – is it not too early in the day for gagh?
Wok of gagh presented to Kor. Martok is not pleased, Worf tries to keep him occupied.
Worf – Have you settled on an attack plan for the starbase on Trelka V?
Martok – I’m going to send the Malpara and the Ning’tao in ahead of the rest of the squadron. They’ll make a single strafing run of the base then head out of the system. When the enemy sends out their repair crews to assess the damage then the rest of the squadron will decloak. With any luck, we’ll catch them not only unprepared but with their entire damage control effort under way.
Martok’s loud voice draws everyone’s attention back to him. Darok is next to Kor.
Kor – Excellent. An excellent plan, general.
Martok grinds out – I’m glad you approve.
Kor – Of course. It’s the same tactic Kang and I used against the Fed in the battle of Caleb Four.
Kolana – You were at Caleb Four?
Darok – Of course he was. Forgive the ignorance of these children.
Kor chuckles – I was a young officer once. I know how irrelevant the past can seem.
Kolana - We would be honored if you would tell us about Caleb IV.
Everybody – Tell the tale.
Kor – Well, there’s not much to tell really. The battle was over almost before the Fed knew it had begun. I commanded the first division, from the Klothos, one of the old D-5 cruisers. Kang commanded the second division. Now, you must remember that in those days the cloaking device was a new piece of technology. There were only a handful of engineers in the Imperial fleet who knew how to operate them. Before we left Kronos I spent three days in the engine room taking the device apart with my bare hands and then putting it back together again. Now, this would come in handy later in the battle, as you’ll see.
Martok is eclipsed again. Hangs his head. Kor walks over to get a mug of bloodwine. Everyone hangs on Kor’s words. Martok walks away.
Later Worf with Martok in office with large semi-circular desk, inset computer display, walls ringed with consoles. Uneven wall surface behind desk.
Worf – It is not the fault of the crew. They are not used to serving with a legendary figure like Kor.
Kolana interrupts on intercom – Bridge to General Martok. We are approaching Trelka V.
Martok – Set defense condition one.
Defense condition one - all hands to battle stations. Discordant blaring alarm noise. Martok and Worf exit office out double sliding door and turn left in narrow corridor. Kor wonders narrow corridor, disoriented, at turbolift.
Kor to himself – I’m supposed to be somewhere.
Young Lt Synon, helm, conveniently rushes around corridor – Dahar Master?
Kor – Where are you going, Lt?
Lt. Synon – To the bridge. We’re approaching Trelka V.
Kor – The bridge!
Lt. Synon – Are you alright?
Kor – Of course. What are you waiting for? Report to your station.
Lt. Synon – chay veh!
She rushes on along hallway. Kor pushes button for turbolift. Tells himself to Concentrate. Then wonders off along hallway.
Two birds of prey, Malpara and Ning'tao, swoop over ground installation, one fires white balls.
Kolana reads off screen looking down – Their shields are down to 65 percent. Three Cardassian cruisers are in spacedock, orbiting on the far side of the planet. Two of them are getting underway. The Malpara and the Ning’tao have completed their attack.
Birds leave atmosphere, Cardassian warship fires several long streaks, Malpara destroyed with all hands at Trelka V.
Kolana continues to report, Kor has found his position on the bridge, others sit and stand around quietly – The Malpara is gone. No survivors. The Ning’tao is heading out of the system. The Cardassians are pursuing.
Martok – And leaving their base unprotected. Helm, take us in. bring us to a hover 300 meters above the base. stand by to decloak on my command.
Lt. Synon – Holding at 300 meters
Martok – Scan the base.
Kolana – They’ve dispatched damage control teams. Two defense batteries are out and they’ve just dropped their primary shield grid.
Martok – Decloak the ship and open fire. Leave the system!
Three birds swoop down on circular installation. Martok leans forward in his chair, Worf stands to his left. Klingons fire green. Cardassians fire back, explosions on bring of Ch’tang
Kolana – Shields are down to 85 percent.
Worf – Reroute emergency power to secondary shield emitters.
Martok – Fire torpedoes! Helm, lay in an escape course.
Lt. Synon works exploding consoles – Aye, sir.
Kor hangs on to his console bewildered, Worf is down and out, Martok is down but conscious. Kor moves forward.
Kor – Continue firing. Target their primary reactors.
Kolana – Chah veh.
Kor – bring us around for another pass.
Lt. Synon reaches over instantly repaired board – Coming about!
Martok struggles on floor – No, only one pass. Leave the system!
three birds turn into Cardassian fire. One takes a hit.
Kor bends over Martok – Do not worry, my friend. All is well.
Martok – You old fool!
Kolana – The Orantho reports their captain and first officer are dead. they have a hull breach in their port quarter.
Kor – Instruct them to continue firing and open a channel to Kang.
Kolana looks up at this – To Kang?
Kor – Tell him we’ve succeeded and that the Fed outpost on Caleb IV will be taken within an hour.
Kolana – Sir, Kang has been dead for years.
Kor – Prepare a boarding party. We’re going to take the base.
Lt. Synon – But sir, they have a garrison of 10,000.
Martok struggling on the floor – By the hand of Kahless, get us out of here!
The explosions rouse Worf, who staggers up
Kor in his own little world – Victory is ours. the Fed will rue the day they dared to challenge the might of the Klingon Empire. we will take Caleb IV and raise our banner over the smoking ruins of their outpost.
Martok, on the floor, gets out his d’k tahg and aims to throw it at Kor. Worf revives, runs over, and catches the dagger by the handle a foot from Kor’s face. He then belts Kor a good one, landing him on the deck.
Worf – Escape course, now!
Three birds go straight up away from Trekla V
Martok – Engage cloak.
Kor struggles to his feet.
Kolana – Orantho and Slivin have cloaked. No pursuit form Trelka V.
Martok back in his chair – No time to waste, proceed to the rendezvous. Then on to the Manora shipyards warp seven.
Worf stands beside Martok – Medical team to the bridge.
Martok – Worf, get that man out of here.
Kor leaves of his own accord. Door behind his station.
Quark, believing Ezri is attracted to Worf, tries to tell her not to get involved with Worf, admits he’s had some problems with Worf in the past, but in this he’s just trying to do what’s best for Ezri. She deserves better. Ezri tells Quark she’s not interested in another relationship with Worf, she cares about him, but he’s moved on with his life and she has too.
Klingon males and females hang around Quark’s
On Ch’tang Kor sits spooning soup from white wok, alone in mess hall. Martok, Darok and Lt. Synon enter. They get mugs of bloodwine from side buffet. Martok pauses in talking, then starts baiting Kor. Kolana comes in later.
Martok – Find out what’s wrong with the Ning’tao. I know Captain Lurkan is young, but he must realize the importance for keeping formation. I’ve been thinking about our next objective. Perhaps we should go after a bigger target. Something more threatening to our forces. Now, what a bout the base on Caleb IV?
Darok, uncomfortable – If you’ll excuse me, I have duties to attend to.
Martok get in his face – Your duties are right here. [Darok sits in chair at table,  Synon sits on table] Someone was just telling me about the defenses on Caleb IV. Who was that?
Synon – I believe it was our third officer, General.
Martok – That’s right. Third officer. Tell us about Caleb IV. Is it manned by Jem’Hadar or Cardassian troops?
Kolana leans in from lounging against door – I thought it was a Fed outpost
Martok, incredulous – How can that be? The Fed is our ally. Surely Kor is aware of that.
Synon – Perhaps he’s confused.
Martok – Confused? The Dahar Master? Surely not. We must be the ones who are confused. Enlighten us, who mans the base on Caleb IV, Dominion or Federation?
Kolana – I think he’s forgotten.
Synon – I think he’s asleep.
Martok leans in close to Kor, who stares straight ahead. Synon starts laughing.
Martok – Stop it, both of you. Don’t you have any respect for one of the greatest heroes of the empire? he’s thinking it over. Give him time. The last son of the House of Kor should not be rushed.
Kolana - How long should we wait?
Synon – Perhaps we should ask Kang!
The women laugh, Martok watches Kor, Darok looks to Kor. Kor pushes bowl away, stands up, starts to walk away.
Martok – Well, say something, old man, or have you lost your tongue as well as your mind?
Kor turns and looks at Martok a long moment – Savor the fruit of life, my young friends. It has a sweet taste when it is fresh from the vine but don’t live too long. The taste turns bitter, after a time.
Kor walks out, exits to right of alcove. Martok sweeps dishes off table, startling Kolana.
Later Martok sits in his office chair, leaning back, looking up, Worf enters with palmpadd. The new personnel roster. Martok rouses himself to take it. It activates with some beeping sounds
Martok – You’re removed Kor from active duty.
Martok – I saw no other choice.
Martok – Still, you’re his friend. It must have been difficult for you.
Worf – A friend would not have put him in that position in the first place.
Martok – I’ve hated his name for almost 30 years. I’ve dreamt of the moment when I would finally see him stripped of his rank and title, when he would suddenly find himself without a friend in the world, without the power of his birthright. Well, I’ve had that moment now. And I took no joy from it. Have you thought about what will become of him when we return to Deep Space Nine?
Worf – I plan to speak with Chancellor Gowron to try and find Kor some assignment on the homeworld.
Martok – I’ll have a word with Gowron as well.
Kolana – Bridge to General Martok.
Martok – Yes?
Kolana – Pardon the interruption, Sir but our sensors have detected a large body of enemy ships.
Martok heaves himself out of chair – On my way.
Martok and Worf enter bridge from around left wall near front of bridge.
Martok – Where are they?
Kolana - Their warp signatures are wearing directly astern. They’re Jem’Hadar fighters and they appear to be pursuing us.
Martok - How can that be?
Worf takes station to right of Kolana – The lead ship is using some sort of long-range tachyon scanner to penetrate our cloaks.
Lt. Synon from her perfectly functioning helm – Does the Dominion possess such a device?
Martok looks over Kolana’s screens – they do now.
Worf – How many ships?
Kolana – I’ve identified ten vessels so far and they’re gaining on us.
After commercial break Worf, Kolana and Martok stand together at side of bridge looking at aft view of pursuing ships. Kolana has a palmpadd. Darok hovers near doorway.
Worf – How long before we are within their weapons’ range?
Kolana – Two hours, 12 minutes.
Martok – Helm, have you located the Defiant?
Lt. Synon – Yes sir, they’re waiting for us in the Kalandra Sector with seven Fed starships. It will take us three hours 45 minutes to reach them.
Worf – If the Jem’Hadar could be forced to drop out of warp for only ten minutes they would not have time to catch up with us before we rendezvous with the Defiant
Martok – It’s a fine theory, but how do we execute it?
Worf – We could disrupt their warp fields with an inverse graviton burst. It would force them to drop to impulse until the gravitons dissipated.
Kolana – We would need to generate a massive burst to disrupt the warp fields of a fleet that size.
Worf – A single bird of prey could do it by diverting warp power to the main deflector.
Martok – How long would that delay them?
Kolana – They could reinitialize their warp cores in less than two minutes.
Worf – If I could engage them in battle while they are still at impulse, that would delay them even longer. I know I could do it.
Martok – What do you mean, you could do it?
Worf – The Orantho’s captain and first office rare dead and the Slivin’s deflector is damaged and cannot generate a graviton burst, and the Ning’tao’s captain is too young and inexperienced. I am the logical choice.
Martok – But Worf, this means that you’d be sacrificing the entire crew of the Ning’tao
Worf – I have thought about that. We could beam most of the crew over before I take command. I would only need six volunteers.
Martok paces away, wracked with anguish at loosing his best friend Worf. Darok stands in the background listening to all this.
Martok turns – Signal the Ning’tao. Tell them to prepare for a change in command.
In his quarters, Kor lies down. Darok comes, rings door chime. Kor lets person enter with a Yes. Darok has tray with mug and plate. Kor’s quarter’s have band of flashing  yellow lights, other bunk for Darok to sit on.
Kor doesn’t get up – I’m not hungry.
Darok – The food is for me. I haven’t eaten in hours. Men of our generation never stood on ceremony, huh? We ate when we were hungry. We fought when we were angered. Oh, I miss the simplicity of those days.
Kor - I miss a great deal about those days.
Darok – The warriors on this ship, they don’t know what they’ve missed. But such is the way with children. They often let the promise of the future obscure the glories of the past.
Kor – Is there a point to this nostalgic indulgence?
Darok – Only that they are children. Even Martok, who, for all his flaws, is a great man. Even Martok is but a child compared to you or me. they are quick to judge, but slow to forgive. They still have much to learn. We are being pursued by a Jem’Hadar fleet. Worf believes he can stop them with a single ship.
This raises Kor’s interest, he sits up – How?
Darok activates a palmpadd with a beep, hands it to Kor – It’s a good plan but it has one flaw. It depends entirely on Worf successfully engaging the whole enemy fleet if only for a short time.
Kor nods – It can be done. The key is to confuse their sensors in the opening moments, with a spread of torpedoes.
Darok has done what he came to do, he gets up – Perhaps.
But it would take a man with three times his experience to accomplish such a feat. And such a man would have to be certain of his abilities.
Kor – Such a man would not take the job unless he were certain.
Darok pleased with himself – It has been an honor serving with you, Kor, son of Rynar.
Darok bows his head. exits.
Worf walks dark red lit corridor to single self activating transporter station. Kor comes up.
Kor – Worf! leaving for the Ning’tao I take it?
Worf – Yes.
Kor – I wanted to wish you well. I look forward to seeing you at the gates of Sto-Vo-Kor.
Worf puts hand on Kor’s shoulder – As do I.
Kor – Do you have any message you want me to convey to Jadzia?
This confuses Worf a second before Kor jabs him in the neck with a hypospray. Collapses to the deck. Kor bends over him.
Kor – When I reach the halls of the Hallowed dead I will find your beloved and remind her that her husband is a noble warrior and that he still loves no one but her. Good-bye, my friend. Live well.
Kor steps up into single transporter station, control console in from of occupant. Pushes buttons madly. Straightens up.
Kor – Long live the Empire.
Transported in red, low humming Klingon transporter effect.
The Ning’tao decloaks, sweeps around, heads back to Jem’Hadar at warp speed.
Martok sits stoically in captain’s chair on bridge, Darok comes up with bottle of bloodwine. Offers it to Martok.
Martok – On the bridge?
Darok – If they succeed, you can drink to their courage, and if they fail you can still drink to their courage.
Kolana reports her console readings - The Ning’tao is closing on the enemy. She’s initiated the graviton burst. Their warp fields are destabilizing. They’re dropping to impulse.
Martok – By Kahless’s hand, how many?
Kolana – All of them. The Ning’tao has dropped out of warp. She’s engaging the enemy.
Martok bows his head deeply – Die well, Worf.
Worf – Today was not my day to die.
Martok – Worf! but then who? Kor!
Worf – He surprised me outside the transporter room with a hypospray.
Martok – I hope that old fool understands what’s he’s doing. How goes the battle?
Kolana – we’re approaching the limit of our sensor range. But it appears that the enemy formation has collapsed. The Ning’tao is maneuvering rapidly. She’s taking heavy fire from the Jem’Hadar. I’ve lost contact.
Martok – One ship, against ten. It doesn’t seem possible.
Worf – He will succeed. He is Kor. The Dahar Master.
Everyone stands around bridge. Martok wondering.
Kolana – He’s done it. The Jem’Hadar are out of time. They can no longer overtake us before we reach the Defiant.
Martok – How, how did that pompous old man hold off an entire Jem’Hadar fleet with only one ship?
Worf – Does it matter?
Martok –Darok, give me that bottle.
Martok knocks off the top of the bottle with his dk’ tahg.
Martok – To Kor, the Dahar Master and noble warrior to the end.
Takes a swing, passes bottle to Worf. Worf to Kolana. Kolana to Synon. Synon to Darok, Darok to Martok, who holds off a moment, not singing. Then takes bottle.
Darok starts song;
my-cho kara
end-do keela
bay-do chum
ka ree-do meela
stum-pa rip-to
maaaah-la  ee-cho
ree-ka! ree-ka! ree-ka!
maaaah so fah ka-lee

Star Trek The Magazine   January 2003  Vol. 3 Issue 09
Kor, exploits in battle earned him the highly honored title of Dahar Master. Kor was born into a family that descended from inside the Imperial court. He was an independent spirit who paid little attention to the High Council, ruthlessly ambitious. Tales of his heroism are commonplace. Organia, Kor was head of an invasion task force during a border dispute with the United Fed of Planets. Kor believed Klingons would win in war over Fed because they were more disciplined and ruthless.
Kor lead Klingons to a memorable victory over the Romulans in Battle of Klach D'Kel Brakt in 2276, or 2270. It was shortly after this that he was awarded the title of Dahar Master, which is bestowed upon only the greatest of Klingon warriors
Kor, along with Kang and Koloth, also fought a glorious battle against T'nag and his army, emerging victorious despite overwhelming odds. Some of Kor's other triumphs included his valiant defense of the Korma Pass, his victory against the Fed at the battle of Caleb IV and his attack on Romulus.
On DS 9 Kor got drunk and fought holo-reenactment of his victory over the Romulans.
Koloth was killed, Kor was injured, Kang mortally wounded in Albino attack.
Kor sung sacred funeral dirge in honor of his fallen comrades and then unleashed the traditional Klingon death howl.
After the deaths of Kang and Koloth statues were erected in their honor in the Hall of Heroes on Qo'noS and Kor was appointed as the Klingon ambassador to Vulcan.
Kor had not been a supporter of Chancellor Gowron or the High Council and had spoken out against them on numerous occasions. Kor found himself the forgotten man of the Empire. Kor was forced to ask Worf to help him find a place to fight alongside his Klingon brothers so that he could die as a respected Klingon warrior and not suffer the humiliation of growing old.
Caleb IV, a Fed base taken by Kor many years earlier
For a Klingon, there is great dishonor in dying of old age rather than being killed in glorious battle. Kor had always been a greatly respected Klingon who had lived life for the moment, not caring who he hurt to realize his ambitions
Make the most of being young and not make the mistake of growing old
Worf's plan meant certain death. Kor took it. Kor and the Ning'tao. Kor delayed 10 Jem'Hadar for more than half an hour.

The Siege at AR-558
Worf calls down to Sisko on AR-558 – We are being attacked by two Jem’Hadar ships. We have locked onto your coordinates. Are you ready for transport?
O’Brien, on shaking Defiant – Captain, sensors show Jem’Hadar landing nine kilometers from your position.
Worf – Sir, we must beam you aboard now. We have to break orbit.
Sisko – Take evasive action, Mr. Worf. we’re staying here.
Worf – Sir, I must ask you to reconsider. I do not know when we will be able to come back for you.
Sisko – You have your orders, Commander.
Worf smartly – Aye, sir. good luck.
During siege Quark consuls Nog – Humans are a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and holosuites are working. Torias and Curzon and Jadzia were in battle many times
Post siege Worf comes down to report to Sisko – The USS Veracruz has entered orbit. They’re beaming down troop replacements and an engineering crew.
Sisko – What about our people?
Worf- Dr. Bashir is aboard the Veracruz with Nog and the rest of the wounded. They will be taken to a hospital on Starbase 371.
Sisko – Good.
Worf looks admiring at subdued Sisko – This was a great victory. One worthy of story and song.
Sisko – It cost enough.

p27 two years since Picard and Worf in struggle against Borg Queen. Last Picard heard Worf was serving on DS 9. Worf was at Manzar colony installing a new defense perimeter when he heard Enterprise was in the sector. Picard has a few ideas he’d like to discuss about Manzar security, though Picard would happily make up any reason to be able to catch up with Worf.
P73 Picard asks Worf to join them in mission to Briar Patch about Data

P54 Son’a ships are known to be equipped with isolytic subspace weapons, outlawed by the Second Khitomer Accord. Subspace weapons in general are outlawed.
P57 Worf dreams of wrestling young male Kolar beast, same size as Worf. Thick and pudgy body all bones and muscle, toothless, short silvery soft fur, flat skull, long snout, bewhiskered head, wise, soft eyes. Worf has once seen Terran gray seals along mountainous coastline of northern California. Kolar best stands erect, black gums could crush Klingon bone to powder, each arm ends in a dozen claws, needle thin, strong, and sharp enough to shred flesh. Kolar beats favored by adolescent Klingons seeking to prove their courage and strength. Its favorite method of killing foolish young Klingons was suffocation, muscle of midsection was prehensile, capable of engulfing either side of prey and slowly squeezing or disembowelment by claws. Best way to subdue a Kolar – hold arms and claws clear, wedge your head beneath animal’s jawbone forcing chin and jaw up, bite neck for soft spot. Kolar belly muscles expand, slowly engulf Worf. Tender spot at juncture of abdomen and haunches. With a warrior’s grace Worf holds on as beast fell. Hot acid foam from mouth. Drink wine colored blood from soft spot.

Seven channels assimilated Klingon, older male warrior. Raids mess hall and gnaws on Kelaran wildebeest leg.
Seven/K - doh rock me raj
B'E - I beg your pardon?
Seven/K - I am the son of K'vok. And you, what House are you from?
B'E - Is this some kind of a joke?
Seven/K - You wear the uniform of a Starfleet p'tak. What kind of a warrior are you?
B'E - Tom put you up to this, didn't he? Well it didn't work.
Seven/K - Come, warrior, let me look at you. [Sniffs the back of B'E's neck] Your blood is sweet. [Seven grabs B'E from behind and bites her left cheek. B'E tosses Seven across room into bulkhead]
Seven/K - You are strong. You will make an excellent mate.
B'E, grabbing heavy spanner - Get the hell away from me.
Seven/K pounds her own chest - You wish to prove yourself in battle.
Seven attacked Lt. Torres. B'E told Tuvok Seven called herself the son of K'vok and initiated a Klingon mating ritual.
B'E enters engineering and stops when she sees Seven.
Seven - Don't worry, Lt. The son of K'vok will not be joining us.
B'E - Glad to hear it. Does this qualify as our second date?
B'E works to prevent Borg vinculum from adapting. Succeeds.
A Klingon male, younger, darker than the son of K'vok, hangs on to Tuvok in his mind meld with Seven. Elderly Klingon, more like the son of K'vok exchanges a few punches with Tuvok.
B'E is expecting Seven to join her in engineering for recalibration of EPS manifolds.
It's Only A Paper Moon
Worf, way in the back, greets Nog’s return
Nothing Human
B'E head down, arms folded, at Doc's holoimage show.
B'E chuckles at image of Tom covered in mud, fetid mud pits of Palomar on Lav'oti V.
B'E - what happened to going to yellow alert after half an hour, when they finally escape the Doctor. B'E and Tom to mess hall for coffee.
B'E laughs quite a bit when Neelix brings up the Tom covered in mud pic - You're famous.
Doctor also has a pic of the Chief Engineer with her foot stuck in a plasma injector. They didn't see that one. The Doctor must have taken it out of the exhibition. B'E is frowning.
Tom - I can't wait to get my hands on it. Maybe I can distribute it to everyone's personal database.
B'E - Try it, and I'll kill you. Right after I finish deleting the Doctor's program.
B'E on the bridge at her little engineering station off to the side.
The creature jumps on B'E in sickbay, integrates into her systems. Torres goes into cytotoxic shock, 2 cc's of inaprovaline stabilizes her.
Tom - How to we get it off her?
The leading exobiologist in the database is Cardassian Crell Moset.
B'E's Bajoran Lt. Tabor in engineering doesn't like taking orders from Seven, he usually takes orders from B'E, he is aware B'E doesn't like Seven. The Captain left Seven in charge of Engineering while B'E absent.
B'E regains consciousness with alien on her. Can't move.
Tom - Just think, I could force you to listen to rock and roll all day and you wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.
B'E not happy about Cardassian - Can't the Doctor find somebody else? As far as I'm concerned they're all cold blooded killers.
Tom - I understand how you feel. Unfortunately, that cold-blooded killer may be the only one who can save your life.
Doctor - I'm surprised at you. Never took you as one who would make generalizations based on race.
B'E - when it comes to Cardassians, I'm guilty as charged.
Doctor - I realize your experience with them was unpleasant.
B'E not the only one who is going to have a problem with keeping Crell around.
Tabor's brother and grandfather were killed by Crell, experimenting to find cure. He was there. The Crell program should be destroyed.
Chakotay remembers some of the Maquis under his command talking about an infamous Cardassian doctor, during the war.
B'E - I had a bad feeling about that hologram the instant I saw him.
Tom - Looks like your instinct was right.
B'E - I won't let him near me.
Tom - You're kidding, right?
B'E - I am dead serious. If I let that pig operate on me, I'll be benefiting from other people's suffering. Do it without him. Find another way.
Tom argues to save B'E's life, who would know out here in the Delta Quadrant?
Chakotay not in favor of going against B'E's wishes. Tuvok finds her position logical, not wanting to validate Crell Mosset's methods.
Chakotay - This isn't about rules and regulations, this is about doing what's right. Spoken like a true Maquis.
Janeway only considered with B'E's well being, morality issues later. Operate.
B'E recovers in quarters. Her nervous system has suffered extreme trauma. When the Doctor told her we'd used Mosset's program, she was unhappy, to put it mildly. I nearly had to sedate her.
Janeway - Sounds like her Klingon temper has fully recovered.
Doctor - It practically qualifies as a chronic condition
B'E burns incense in wide shallow ceramic dish supported by curly metal pieces
Janeway - Interesting fragrance. I'm surprised it hasn't set off the environmental alarms.
B'E - It's a combination of mental relaxant and expeller of demons. It's an ancient Klingon remedy.
B'E has thick metal piece on wall by door, quilted fabric hanging over couch.
B'E - You can't order someone to get rid of an emotion, Captain. You had no right to make that decision for me.
Janeway - I did what I thought best. I get the feeling there are still a few demons in the air. Let's hope this does the trick.
Prodigal Daughter
Jadzia ordered 51 cases, 51 varieties of gagh before she died, for Martok's birthday next week. Torgud, wiggly; filden squirms; meshta jumps; bithool has feet; wistan packed in targ blood. Can’t flush it out airlock, environmental regulations. Ezri doesn’t want to give it to Martok, as he’ll insist Share gifts with giver as point of honor. Ezri can remember what each one tastes like.
Thirty Days
B draws up some engineering solutions for the Moneans
B comes to visit Tom in Captain Proton program.
B - Hey, here to stamp out intergalactic evil? It sounds like you found yourself a cause. For what its worth, I'm proud of you.
Tom - Captain Proton won't be able to save the day.
B - What about Tom Paris?
B takes a step after Tom as he heads for the brig.
When Harry visits Tom in the Brig, Tom asks - How's B'Elanna?
Harry - She misses you.
Tom - I know the feeling.
B calls Tom after he's released - Rumor has it you're free for dinner.
Tom - you sure you want to be seen associating with an ex-con?
B - my quarters, 0700. That's an order, ensign.
The Emperor's New Cloak
Quark and Rom steal cloaking device from bird of prey, heavy for the two of them to carry. Rom cloaked the cloaking device.
Martok and Sisko come along corridor to Bird of Prey.
Martok to Sisko – Our present position is precarious. I’m telling you Captain we have to find a way to expand our lines beyond the Kalandra system.
Sisko – I agree, if we don’t move soon the ionic storms will isolate our position.
Martok – Allowing the Dominion to flank us.
Sisko and Martok go back to investigate Quark and Rom acting innocent.
Martok – What about the bulkhead?
Martok doesn’t have much patience, bares his teeth - Captain.
Sisko – I’ll talk to Admiral Ross.
Martok – I’ll talk to Chancellor Gowron, as well.
Quark and Rom take Klingon cloaking device to cargo bay 14. rectangular device, induction coils at one end.
Martok comes to cargo bay 14 yelling – Ferengi, I’ll have you hanging by your ears!

Black Hats, Strange New Worlds IV
B doesn’t know what Tom and Harry see in Captain Proton program. Tom wanted B to be Constance Goodheart.
B – Just because I’m dating the guy doesn’t mean I know how his mind works.

Counterpoint
B covers for power used in transporter suspension to hide telepaths in Devore space.
Engineering problem evading pulse sensors, has to shut down core, can't shut it down in time, detected.
Field of Fire
Worf not at party for Defiant helm Lt. Hector Ilario.
Worf comes on Ezri, was he following her? It is dangerous for her to be wandering the Prom alone.
Ezri – you were worried about me?
Worf – There is a killer on this station. You have no right to endanger yourself this way.
Ezri – you were worried, thank you Worf, that’s sweet.
Worf – you are a fellow officer. I would have the same concern for O’Brien or Bashir.
Ezri – I didn’t mean to imply otherwise.
They understand each other perfectly. He asks her about the investigation. Offers to assist her in any way.
Worf – I am certain that you will do whatever is necessary for you to complete your task. You are Dax. It is your way.
Ens. Bertram collects weapons, Fed, Klingon, Cardassian.
Jadzia knew Bolian Zim Brot. Wife and co-husband.

77th Emperor's sumo wrestling cup, Janeway [5th row] and Chakotay in attendance. Karpek's knee broke the sand and referee gave Takashi the match. Or the other way around. [K for Klingon?]
B and Seven rewrite Doc's program. Takes a day.
B arranges for Doc to relive memories of Ensign Jetal.
B participates in Jetal's surprise birthday party.
The only opinion at the time was to erase memories when Doctor got into feed back loop 18 months ago. Here we go again.
B - We gave him personality sub-routines, I'd hardly call that a soul.
Two weeks Doctor struggling to deal with ethical struggle. Crew sits with him.
Chimera
Two Klingons uncomfortable in fog Laas. They notice Odo calling Laas to form as a solid.
Klingon - ka'vek! Ke'chaw! What is this Founder doing here? Don’t change form in my presence. Your hands are stained with the blood of Klingons.
Laas – But then the stench would still be on them
Klingon pulls d’k tagh.
Laas forms a bigger knife.
Klingon stabs Laas, to no effect, Odo pushes him away. Laas swords the other Klingon in the chest.
First Klingon gives Nooooo death yell. growls at Laas.
Bashir unable to save Klingon.
Martok asks that Laas be detained until Magistrate decides jurisdiction.
Sisko asks Odo and Worf in. The Klingons want to extradite Laas.
Odo – He killed the Klingon in self defense.
Worf- That is in dispute.
Odo – He was about to pull his disruptor
Worf – According to the other Klingons, he was reaching for his dagger.
Ssiko – The Klingons are arguing that since Laas knew he couldn’t be harmed he shouldn’t have used deadly force.
Odo – Since when do Klingons resort to legal quibbling. They get into fights all the time, they never press charges, it isn’t honorable. They are only doing this because they don’t trust changelings.
Worf- He should not have provoked them.
Odo – They attacked Laas.
The Klingons claim Laas surrounded them menacingly, by fog. Other people filed complaints.
Odo – You’re going to allow the Klingons to extradite him, knowing they won’t give him a fair trail.
Worf walks away from Odo Sisko argument.
Martok has expressed some concerns about security arrangements. He’s not sure its appropriate Odo should be in charge of prisoner. Because Odo was a witness to the alleged crime.
Odo – If the Klingons had attacked anyone other than a Changeling they would be the one’s on trial.
Kira helps Laas escape to Koralis III.
General Martok is not going to be happy about this.
Worf – By fleeing the Changeling has demonstrated his guilt. He must be apprehended and brought to trial. Worf instructed to have all available runabouts begin sector wide search.
Odo goes to Koralis III and back, Worf never finds Laas
Bride of Chaotica!
Still no Voyager crewmember in role of Constance Goodheart. Constance killed.
The Doctor needs B to redesign his program to appear as President of Earth in Captain Proton. It only takes her a minute, break a leg.
Tom promises to give up Proton after this.
Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang
Worf does not understand how Nog and the others can feel such loyalty to a hologram. As a singer Worf finds Vic entertaining, but beyond that he neither likes or dislikes him. He is a hologram, therefore he does not exist. Not part of the plan to save Vic’s program
Gravity
Tom - When he first met B'Elanna she wouldn't even look at him, but she warmed up, after three years.
Doctor - The longest flirtation in Starfleet history.
Nass - She sound fascinating.
Tom - I just hope I see her again.
Nass - You must really love her very much.
Tom -Yeah.
B works with Seven and Harry to understand sinkhole phenomenon.
While in the phenomenon, Tom experienced two months wondering if he would ever see B again, B only 2 days, he thought she would miss him too.
Tuvok - if it were not for the time differential, I'm sure she would have experienced a deep sense of loss.
Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges
Meeting room symbology; Klingon, Fed. Romulan. Kira chair weekly meeting, Worf, Odo and O'Brien.
Item 7 at weekly meeting; warbird repair. Romulan Senator Cretak complain Romulan ships passed over in favor of Klingon and Fed ships for repair. Dividices and Genorex have been waiting three weeks, dozen Klingon ships repaired in that time.
O’Brien – I assign repair by greatest need.
Cretak – Odd that the Klingons always seem to have the greatest need.
Worf – They are usually more damaged because Klingon warships are relentless in pressing home their attack. The fight must be taken to the enemy.
O’Brien could have Romulan ships in repair bays tomorrow. delay repairs to Hornet and Rotarran - Worf explain to Martok why he was bumppped.
Odo doesn't like Klingons and Romulans having shore leave at same time. Two Klingon crews currently on station. Romulans will delay shore leave.
Cretak – We’ll forgo shore leave. Our soldiers are professional, here to fight, not to get drunk at Quark’s.
Section 31 feels the Dominion will be forced back to Gamma Quad; Cardassian Empire will be occupied; Klingons will be recovering for 10 years and will not pose a serious threat to anyone; Fed and Romulans will vie for control.
Neral, formerly Proconsul, now Praetor of Romulan Star Empire, confirmed by Continuing Committee a little over a year ago. His family killed in Klingon raid approximately 25 years ago.

B falls under deception of wanting to return to earth along with everyone else.
Seven beams into engineering with phaser rifle and stuns B
Tom's wish fulfillment is test pilot.
B's hallucination is that the Maquis are all alive and with her.
It is so strong even a cortical implant can't break the illusion.

Peroghian pig-lizard [alpha quad]
Chakotay, as a Maquis, his first attempt to escape a Cardassian scouting party left him covered in refuse and face to face with a Peroghian pig-lizard.
Tom helping Janeway track down his former Maquis mates was a betrayal some had not been quick to forget.
B'Elanna led a very willing Tom from Chakotay's surprise birthday party
Tom – B'Elanna and Tom work because we're both too stubborn to quit and too selfish to care much what other people think. We only live once. Tom knew he was crazy about B'Elanna for the better part of a year before he got up the guts to approach her. Tom makes it a point to listen to B'Elanna, the smartest woman he's ever met.

Penumbra
Ezri bumped into Captain Boday the other night. O'Brien not familiar with Boday - oh, the toothy smile and the transparent skull he remembers. Gallamites are supplying duranium for the war effort. Bashir considers Boday insufferable, charmer, arrogant, opinionated. Kira comes to tell them Klingons just sent word Rotarran and Koraga ambushed by Dominion patrol near badlands, Worf commanding Koraga. Rotarran recovered six escape pods, Worf missing.
Ezri sits at Quark's, Defiant with Sisko went out to meet Rotarran, talked with Koraga's crew, according to crew Worf stayed on bridge. 6 starboard pods were recovered, none from port side. Searching for three days. Waiting hard on Ezri. Quark tells her the night before Worf went on patrol he brought Koraga's crew to Quark's, bought three barrels of bloodwine, and didn't pay the tab. Worf would never go to Sto-vo-kor owing Quark money.
Quark – He couldn’t enjoy the afterlife knowing I had something on him.
Ezri walks by Worf's quarters, has codes to enter. Worf wanted Jadzia to have his father's bat'leth. Ezri recalls marriage vows. Ezri takes runabout Ganges. She’s a Dax, sometimes they don’t think, they just do.
Ezri allows her shuttle to drift through badlands, finds Worf. Made it to port escape pod closest to bridge. Drifted. Worf sitting dejected, wounded, when transported to Ezri’s runabout. Head wound.
Worf and Ezri spend hours returning to DS 9. Worf busies himself making sure systems running at optimal efficiency. Ezri figures Worf sang opera - Shevok'tah gish  no -  'Gav'ot toh'va  solos for a tenor. The Acoustics were favorable. Ezri remembers first night Worf played gav'ot toh'va for Jadzia. Worf would prefer they not discuss Jadzia. Ezri heard Alexander had been made weapons officer of the Ya'vang. Worf counters that they were shorthanded.
Ezri – Are you ever going to ease up on him?
Worf – That is none of your concern.
Ezri – That’s funny, because on our wedding night you told me-
Worf beginning to regret asking Ezri to stay on DS 9 six months ago.
Attacked by Jem’Hadar fighters, abandoned ship, without comm. unit. Goralis.
Worf lets his hair down, kills animal to eat, which turns off Ezri. Sick of field rations after 6 days. Used sharpened stick, hours of tracking, could have been attacked himself at any time. Jadzia would have understood.
Ezri working on realign comm badge to send signal. What is it about men, she wonders, either don't talk at all, or talk too much, like Boday. Ezri thinks Boday interesting and good sense of humor. Worf wants to know if Jadzia and Boday...? She did, before she even knew Worf. Worf calls Ezri a sli'vak.
Ezri – Don’t turn your back on me. talk to me, you coward!
Worf – Don’t call me a coward.
Kiss. Ezri grabs Worf’s head and pulls him down for another kiss. Have sex, fully dressed afterward. Attacked by Breen, taken on their ship.
Breen dialogue written as slashes and dashes -//_||V

Jadzia explained to Worf that joined Trill were not supposed to become involved with anyone they were intimate with in their past life.
Ezri sure Worf has broken a few Klingon rules in his time.
Dark Frontier
B recovered a transwarp coil in remains of Borg probe.
B and Seven work together to try to activate the transwarp coil. It is beyond repair.
B handles transport of Away Team to Borg cube from her side Engineering station on the bridge.
Lt. Torres is equipping the Delta Flyer with the transwarp coil, to go rescue Seven.
B operates Seven’s bridge rail station.
Voyager gets 15 years, 20.000 ly, closer to home before transwarp coil gives out.
'Til Death Us Do Part
After three days of algae paste, Worf always looking for ways to get himself and Ezri out of cell. Attack guards when they bring food. Already tried the my cellmate is ill trick. Or I’ll make a tool and short circuit the door idea. The first duty of every captured officer is to attempt escape.
They say no one has ever seen a Breen and lived to tell of it.
During the Second Empire, Chancellor Mow'ga sent a fleet of Klingon ships to conquer the Breen homeworld. They were never heard from again
Worf didn’t laugh at Jadzia’s jokes either. She used humor to raise her spirits.
Worf to Ezri – I had thought I had lost her forever, but you and I will have many years together.
Analyzing dreams part of Ezri’s job. Jadzia never talked about her dreams. Worf feels dreams are best ignored.
Worf nightmare – fight them! Sto-Vo-Kor; no I will not dishonor her memory; Alexander!
Ezri presses damp cloth to his forehead. He was taken to interrogation chamber, cortical implant to probe his mind. He lost consciousness. He should have tried harder to resist them. These Breen are without honor. A Klingon would rather die then be held captive.
Ezri – What are you going to do, kill yourself and leave me here alone?
Worf- No time for your jokes.
Ezri – No time for Klingon chest thumping either
Breen come in and stun Worf, take Ezri away. Worf cradles Ezri when she returns delirious. Kiss me, Julian.
Worf upset, he should not have trusted Ezri with his heart. You dishonor me and yourself. How long has Ezri had these feelings for Bashir? Jadzia had feeling for him as well. Worf should have known.
Breen ally with Dominion, give Worf and Ezri to Weyoon as gifts.
Sisko has told Martok his ships would be repaired by tomorrow, the bottom line is O’Brien won’t be able to get to it for a couple of days.
The Disease
Two weeks repairing Varro warp drive.
B compliments Tom’s fingerwork on power flow panel – Maybe you should try some Chopin when you’re done.
B had suspicions that the microfactures on Voyager weren’t a coincidence. Seven confirmed her suspicions. Artificially created silicon based parasites eat at hull.

Strange Bedfellows
Weyoon 7 likes to watch interspecies mating rituals.
Klingons have attacked Septimus III, landed 15 divisions.
Martok – Septimus III will fall within the week. defended by 11th Order, reserve unit - Cardassian old and walking wounded. They don’t stand a chance. 500,000 men wiped out on Septimus III by Klingons. Weyoon considered it a strategically useless planet, tying up valuable Klingon resources.
Ezri and Worf battle each other trying to escape
Ezri – Last time you touched me, things got a little out of control
Worf – You are right about that, I was seduced and betrayed
Ezri – Seduced?!
Worf – You desired a physical relationship with me from the start. That much was obvious.
Ezri – You have the biggest ego of any man I’ve ever know.
Worf – Considering how many men you have known that is quite a statement
Ezri – Am I supposed to be embarrassed because Jadzia had a few lovers before you?
Worf and Ezri break out with Worf’s bunk pin ploy, get phasers, run down corridor, Worf wounded, falls. Ezri helps him up. Recaptured.
Worf – Leave me.
Ezri – Oh, shut up
Worf – You never listen
Ezri – Look who’s talking
Worf – There is no honor in self pity.
Ezri – I have had enough of your little Klingon aphorisms. Stop acting like a self-righteous targ
Worf – Your motives for rescuing me were not honorable
Ezri – I hate to burst your bubble Worf, but it wasn’t that good.
Worf used to find Jadzia’s sense of humor one of her more endearing qualities.
Ezri – Do you love me?
Worf – I have made my feelings clear back of Gorallis III.
Ezri – Maybe Gorallis was a mistake for both of us
Worf – This night would be better spent preparing ourselves for the next life, instead of rehashing the mistakes of this one.
Worf – I do not love you as I loved Jadzia. I dishonored myself. I know how often I use that word, maybe too often, but in this case it is appropriate. Worf realized Jadzia saw physical love differently. To her it could mean many things. Worf physical love deeply spiritual act. When I made love to you my motives were not spiritual. It was an unworthy impulse.
Worf – Friends, and more.
Worf snaps Weyoon 7's neck. Weyoon 8 arrives shortly after. Worf and Ezri scheduled for execution on Cardassia in two days. Damar turned off by Founder-Breen alliance, breaks Worf and Ezri out to Cardassian patrol ship with necessary info to get past security.
Quark – I wish the Defiant had found that lumbering Klingon oaf.
Martok – Enough about the war with the Dominion, I want to hear about the war at home. You just married that freighter captain, didn’t you? Then war has broken out, whether you know it or not. A long, grueling, intoxicating, war. I remember the day my beloved Sirella moved into my home, near forest, while she was supervising unloading of her bags coming in front door, she accidentally let targ Martok had had since he was a boy escape. Filthy, mangy beast, but in his breast beat the heart of a warrior. Of course Sirella loathed him. To make a long story short. Faithful targ, ever ready to follow the call of the wild, tottered out on his frail legs and disappeared into the forest. Martok never saw him again.
Sisko – Lady Sirella draws the first blood.
Martok – you see my point. Don’t get me wrong, I would not trade Sirella for all the targs on Kronos. And, over the course of our marriage I have won more than my fair share of battles between us, but in the end, I know Sirella will win the war.

Sisko wants Bashir full medical work up on both of them.
Martok and Sisko review Breen attack on Earth.
Martok – We must give the enemy credit. To launch an attack on Starfleet Headquarters, even my people never attempted that. We’ve learned one thing about the Breen today. They’re a race of warriors. Every species has it’s weakness, they’re no exception.
Worf and Ezri at Quark's
Worf – Bashir is a child! Are you certain he’s the one? You deserve more than handsome. I see it is hopeless trying to reason with you. If it will make you happy, yes.
Ezri – You’re a good friend, Worf.
Worf – I know. They are wasting their time, there is no way they can defend that mission against an enemy that numbers in the thousands. Not without more men.

The Fight

Martok has ordered every ship to alter its reactor in the same way. 1500 Klingon vessels altered by tomorrow. Romulan ships can’t be altered the same way, neither can Starfleet.
Ross – It seems the Klingon fleet is the only thing that stands between us and the Dominion.
Rom General – What have we come to.
Martok – We’ll operate in small battle groups, going in under cloak, engaging the enemy and trying to provoke them into pursuit
Gowron arriving in morning from Q'ronos to induct Martok into Order of Kahless. Ross and Sisko find Martok nervous.
Martok, Worf, Sisko Ross meet Gowron.
Gowron arrives, in simple military dress, with long blond haired and dark swarthy wary guards. Ross met Gowron at Khitomer. Martok bows head to Gowron. Martok is slightly taller than Gowron.
Gowron – Martok, the man I came to honor! The son of Mogh.
Worf sharply – Chancellor.
Gowron – They say you’ve made him part of your House.
Martok – That’s true.
Gowron - Then what is past is past. If Martok considers you his brother, that’s all I need to know. Come, I brought a barrel of the finest blood wine, and it must be drunk tonight.
Vintage 2309 Martok hopes, good blood wine. The Klingons walks off, Sisko and Ross ignored. I guess we’re not invited.
Bashir thinks Ezri and Worf are an item.
Small bowl, with Star of Kahless in bottom, bleed from cuts on right palm, Gowron first.
Gowron – Today we honor our brother Martok, in the manner Kahless taught us.
Martok approaches, takes d’k tagh, raises it.
Martok – I accept this honor, in the name of the House of Martok. And ask only to be allowed to continue to serve the Empire.
Martok cuts his right palm into the bowl. gathered Klingons start chanting Martok! Sisko and Ross are next, Ross not thrilled, but he does it. Worf is thrilled. Later dip metal mugs into barrel of blood wine. Martok wears Star of Kahless on chain at throat.
Worf to Martok – You have done well
Martok – Thank you for the help my friend.
Gowron – Martok, how does it feel to be the most famous warrior in the empire?
Martok – I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Gowron – And you serve well, but you’ve borne the burden of this war for a long time.
Martok – I do it gladly, and I’ll keep on fighting until the victory is ours.
Gowron – No, My friend, I can’t ask you to carry this weight forever. It’s time for me to take a more active role in this war. As of today I’m assuming direct command of our forces.
Martok – Chancellor, I don’t understand. Are you unsatisfied with the way I have performed my duties?
Gowron – Would I have given you the Star of Kahless if I were no satisfied? you should be happy you’re a warrior again. No more meetings, no more reports to file. You’ll be out there, savoring the heat of battle. I envy you. I intend to end this war, and soon. The Dominion will rue the day they heard my name!!
Various Klingons in room, young, elderly, slightly confused at Gowron’s actions, look on curiously, gather round Martok and Gowron.
Bashir tells O'Brien Ezri with Worf. O'Brien had drink with Worf the other day, 'just friends.'
Martok and Worf commiserate
Martok – First he gives me a medal, then he takes over my command. It makes no sense.
Worf – Our people have come to see you as a savior of the Empire. that is something Gowron cannot tolerate. He wants to be its savior.
Martok – What’s he afraid of? I’m going to challenge his position? I have no interest in politics. I’m a soldier. By the hand of Kahless! I’ve earned my position. Risen through the ranks, won countless battles. And what has he done? schemed and plotted his way to power. [His Star of Kahless is off, on the table.]
Worf – his military experience is limited, he is not half the tactician you are.
Martok – Many brave warriors have given their lives in this war. [heavy sigh] What ever Gowron’s motives are, it is our duty to help him defeat the Dominion. We owe it to our fallen comrades.
Worf – I am honored to be part of your House.
Martok struggles up – well, I had better gather my things. This office belongs to Gowron now.
Martok and Worf come to Gowron, sitting in office with back to a door, with aide hovering over shoulder. Hands aide the big bulky padd he’s been working with. He’s been studying the strategic situation, I want to share my thoughts with you. The Dominion is deploying it’s fleet in preparation for a final offensive. They’re destroying our ships one by one.
Worf – We must hold the line until the Fed and Rom fleets become operational again
Gowron – No, don’t you see? That’s exactly what the enemy is expecting. This time to act is now. We’re going on the offensive. Starting tomorrow, I’m sending sorties deep into enemy territory. To strike at the very heart of the Dominion.
Martok – We are barely holding the line as it is.
Worf – every ship we have to defend the border
Gowron – what’s wrong with you two? Don’t you understand, seize the day.
Martok yells – WE are outnumbered 20 to one.
Gowron – The element of surprise will be on our side.
Martok – Chancellor, in my opinion,
Gowron grits teeth – Did I ask for your opinion? Trust me, my friends. I can see it all so clearly. While our allies sit and do nothing, the Klingon Empire will score the final triumph over the Dominion. We’ll be the saviors of the Alpha Quadrant, the glory will be ours. and ours alone.

Tacking Into the Wind
Gowron – Martok’s attack on Avenel VII was a disgrace, he had the advantage of surprise. The Dom wasn’t expecting take offensive so soon after the Breen entered the war. Avenel should have been an easy victory for him. But instead he’s handed us a shameful defeat.
Sisko – Sisko and Martok advised Gowron against attacking Avenel, deep inside Dominion territory. He was outnumbered 6 to one.
Gowron – A good commander finds a way to beat the odds. Not hide behind them.
Sisko – He fought longer and harder than I would have in his place. Have you read Worf’s after action report? 7 Klingon ships destroyed, 5 others severely damaged.
Martok in critical condition in Rotarran sick bay. He’s expected to survive. Sisko blames Gowron with bad judgment, waste of men and equipment.
Gowron bug eyes Sisko – That’s one of the things I like about you, your loyalty to your friends. Martok’s a popular general with the troops. That counts for something. I won’t relieve him of command, yet.
Rotarran docks, Martok flat out in DS 9 sickbay. Worf standing over. Sisko calls Worf in. Bashir says Martok will make full recovery. Sisko and Worf discuss Gowron. Serious common problem. Hellbent on continuing offensives regardless of the cost. He is a stubborn and arrogant man. Worf suspects the Chancellor cannot see anything at the moment except for one man. The Chancellor sees Martok as a political threat, these attacks against the Dominion are designed to humiliate the General in the eyes of the Empire, to force him to endure defeat after defeat. It would not be the first time that a Klingon Chancellor put his own interests ahead of the greater good. Worf has a solution, it will not be easy.
Sisko – Do whatever it takes. Those Klingon ships out there are the only thing between us and the Breen. Gowron is risking the safety of the entire Alpha Quadrant, and he has to stop.
Worf tries to talk to bedridden Martok in sickbay – Martok will not challenge Gowron, it is treasonous in time of war.
Worf – Gowron is leading us all to ruin. It is your duty to challenge him, to protect the empire.
Martok – you would have me protect the empire by breaking my oath? By spilling the blood of a Klingon brother while an enemy stands at the door? Where is the honor in that?
Worf – Gowron is sacrificing the troops for his own petty reasons. Where is the honor in that?
Martok - The troops are his to command. It is not our place to question unless he is acting with cowardness, and there is no proof of that. I have heard every word that you have said. Worf wants Martok to be chancellor Me! Ha! - Martok does not feel
members of High council will follow common man from Ketha Lowlands. A man without a drop of noble blood in his veins.
Worf – Kahless himself was not highborn.
Martok hisses – Kahless was divine!
Worf – you name is revered throughout the empire. If you seize the leadership every warrior from here to Qo’noS would swear an oath to you. With that kind of support, the High Council will have no choice but to accept you as chancellor.
Martok – You’re beginning to sound like a Romulan.
Worf – You know I am right
Martok – I am a loyal soldier of the Empire. I would rather die than dishonor my uniform. By rising a hand to my chancellor in time of war I would bring shame to everything that I have fought to protect, everything that I believe in. My decision is made! We will not speak of this again!
Worf talks with Ezri about Klingon situation
Worf – Soldiers support leaders in time of war. Asking Martok to stand against Gowron was a foolish error. Now Worf will try to convince Gowron to discontinue the attacks.
Ezri’s not sure she should give advice. It’s a Klingon matter. She is still a member of the House of Martok - Worf and Martok discussed it weeks ago, Ezri didn't know. Martok likes Ezri, thinks her honorable woman, worthy successor to Jadzia. And so does Worf, speaking into his cup.
Ezri thinks its sweet. Very touched.
Worf – Sweet? Not a Klingon word.
Ezri thinks Gowron symptom of a bigger problem. Klingon empire is dying and deserves to die when it is in deep denial about itself, warrior society that prides itself on maintaining centuries old traditions of honor and integrity but accepts corruption at highest levels. Ezri looks at Empire with more skepticism then Curzon or Jadzia did.
Ezri – Who was the last leader of the High Council Worf respected? Has there even been one? How many times cover up crimes of Klingon leaders because it was ‘for good of empire.’ willing to accept a government that you know is corrupt, Gowron just the latest example. Worf the most decent and honorable man Ezri has ever met. If Worf is willing to tolerate Gowron, what hope is there for the empire?
Meeting, Klingon map display, Gowron standing, others sit. Worf, Martok, 5 other gray heads.
Gowron wants attack on heavily fortified Sarpedion Five. HQ of 12th order. Martok in first with 15 vorcha-class battle cruisers. To soften their defenses. General Nemchick in next.
Martok interrupts – That world is one of the most heavily fortified in the entire Cardassian Empire. 15 battle cruisers will barely scratch their defenses.
Gowron – If you lack the courage to fight an uphill battle, then perhaps you should retire to your bed.
Martok stands up to eyeball Gowron, but – I will fight any battle, anywhere. For the Empire.
Gowron – Spoken like a true warrior. After Martok has softened their defenses
Worf stands, challenges Gowron's plan, - We cannot attack Sarpedion.
Gowron – I decide what can and cannot be done
Worf lip curl – You rule without wisdom and without honor. The warriors gathered here will not say this to you but I will. You are squandering our ships and our lives on a petty act of vengeance.
Gowron – I should have known better than to trust you again. If you were a true Klingon I would kill you where you stand. Fortunately for you that child’s uniform shields you from your rightful fate.
Worf takes off his combadge – What I say know I say as a member of the House of Martok and not a Starfleet officer. You have dishonored yourself and the empire. you are not worthy to lead the council.
Gowron whips off his cloak – There can be only one answer to that!
There are bat’leths lining the walls. Gowron and Worf select weapons. Everybody stands. Suddenly there are more Klingons.
Martok puts hand on Worf’s arm – Worf! This is madness.
Worf and Gowron go to clear area intent on their duel.
duel, Gowron does a lot of yelling. Gowron breaks Worf’s bat’leth, Worf picks up pieces. Fights on, though map display. Gowron stands over downed Worf for death blow, Worf sticks broken piece into Gowron
Gowron – you will not have this day! Dies. Worf pries open eyes, death yells.
Martok puts robe on Worf, - Hail Worf, leader of the Empire!
leads others in chant. Worf! Worf!
Worf – Wait! Hear Me! what I have done was for the empire, a new day must dawn. I am not the man to usher in that day. but there is a man here who can.
Martok – Worf! I do not seek the leadership!
Worf puts cloak on Martok - Kahless said, Great men do not seek power, they have power thrust upon them. Hail Martok, leader of the empire, leader of destiny.

Page 42   Robert O'Reilly made backstory for Gowron. Mysterious character who came out of nowhere. He had been gone form Klingon Empire. He had been with humans. Human pirates. Evil, evil for Klingons is to be not honorable, not warriors and these humans had all these perversions. Everything had been taken away psychologically as a young Klingon and Gowron wanted it back. Extremely arrogant, heroic character Gowron felt Worf had been corrupted by spending too much time with humans. Gowron rewarded Worf whenever he behalves like a Klingon but tried to dominate him whenever he showed signs of human weakness.
Gowron was not happy that Picard was responsible for making him Klingon Chancellor but he was prepared to deal with humans to get power. Gowron trying to find out where these humans are in the universe and how the Klingons need to deal with them.
I wasn't doing it for me, I was doing it for the Klingon Empire. Not a lot of Klingons had experience with human, so I had to tell my underlings how to attack them, when to trust them, when not to, what kinds of warriors they were.
With Picard, it wasn't clear to Gowron which way to go. I had a fascination with his power. I'm always watching him to find out what his weaknesses are, what his strengths are. I have a military mind with Worf it was to frighten him, beat him down, to change him and make him more Klingon than he actually was. To impose myself on him. Be overbearing with Picard to see the reaction, to see where strengths and weaknesses were. Always reading him, not for now but for the future, thinking how to attack him if needed.
Gowron driven by his suspicions about humans and his desire to keep Klingon race pure.
Gowron heroic but he disliked humans. To be Klingon he had to get rid of human influence. Gowron determined to keep Klingon empire free from outside influence. He wanted to keep them pure warriors.
K'Ehleyr, half humans, was a horror to him.
This was where the Empire had gone under K'mpec.
With Kahless clone, Gowron would never bend. What it came down to was as long as it was not on Klingon soil, fine, as soon as we get back to Klingon soil, he's gone.

Tuvok shows B’E emotional control. She lost her temper and destroyed the Doctor’s holographic camera. He was doing a photo essay A Day in the Life of the Warpcore. His buzzing around annoyed B’E. she apologized and replicated him a new camera. She has a long history of emotional volatility. The point of Tuvok’s ritual is not to atone for past transgressions, but to prevent future ones. It is Commander Chakotay’s idea. B’E thinks young Tuvok must have been cute with the pointy ears.
B’E recalls Daniel Byrd, one of her grammar school classmates. He was always terrorizing her. He used to point at her cranial ridges and tease her about being half Klingon. He called her Miss Turtlehead. She attacked him once, on the gyroswing. B’E disengaged the centrifugal governor, he was spinning around so fast he almost flew apart. Miss Malvin showed up before B’E could pound his face in. she wanted to hurt him, to take revenge for all the humiliation he had caused her.
B’E’s anger was a source of strength, protected her, gave her strength.

Martok snarls at Romulan – There are advantages to falling back, shortening their supply lines while forcing us to lengthen ours. we have them on the defensive, we should hit them with everything they’ve got. The Klingon Empire votes to attack, now, before they have a chance to recover.
Ross concurs, so does Romulan.

What You Leave Behind
Novelization by Diane Carey
P15 Klingons in a single growly line
Worf’s gulp of bloodwine early in the morning at Quark’s galvanized him for what was to come.
Ghosts haunted Worf’s every moment, the dead of his past constantly with him, his father, his shipmates, his fellow warriors, his wife.
P31 Garek – If it weren’t for the Klingons, the Cardassian Dominion alliance would be the biggest fools in the Galaxy. The Klingons, Cardassians, Romulans, Breen spend all their time trying to figure out the best way to bully. The Klingons figured out bullying doesn’t get the best results. They still strut around and they like the facade of bullying but they know that all those years of galactic snarling just brought them to poverty. Now they go along with the Federation.
P57 Jadzia complained that Worf had no sense of humor. Sisko could only imagine what Worf must be feeling behind that armored personality.
Tongo is a Ferengi game
P85 the famous and deserving Klingon warrior Martok. Martok raised both arms in greeting – A glorious victory lies before us!
Martok promised Sisko and Ross the three of them would share a bottle of bloodwine on Cardassia Prime. He brought a barrel of 2309. there is no finer vintage. Martok raised a fist and instantly cut off his transmission. Martok’s old fashioned Klingon spirit, for which the battle gave as much satisfaction as the victory, if any. The mere act of fighting held its own kind of honor.
The Klingon heavy cruisers and their support wings. The Klingons could be rash, Romulans unflappable. Klingon fighters along the whole vanguard of all three battalions. The Klingon advance fighters suddenly surged forward, firing as they went, not waiting to be fired upon. Klingon streaks of yellow disruptor fire.
P114 Martok’s bridge was shattered but somehow for Klingons that looked normal. Martok seemed charged with delight.
Martok – My people will sing songs about this moment. Martok and Sisko convince Ross to move on Cardassia now and put an end to this war.
P132 Worf has managed to score direct hits on eleven Breen ships but difficult to penetrate their shields. Worf seemed both insulted and victorious. Not a bad condition for a Klingon.
P142 in final assault to Cardassia, Klingons will target the Breen.
P152 the Klingon and Romulan Empires are in no shape to wage a war against the Founders, and the Federation wouldn’t allow it.
P164 Martok – This is a moment worth savoring. To victory, hard fought and well earned. On balcony overlooking ravaged city. Martok drained his glass, poured himself another.
Martok – Before you waste too many tears remember those are Cardassians lying dead out there. The Bajorans would call his poetic justice. Martok gazed at the devastation with his own Klingon sensibilities. To Martok those people had paid a price they’d set themselves up to pay. The Klingons had dealt with retribution for centuries uncounted.
P168 Ross wants to toast to no more war in our lifetime.
Martok – You call that a toast? To a glorious victory. They drank and grudgingly, after he got his toast, Martok offered a grudging shrug.
Martok – Though I admit the cost was high.
Sisko and Martok have been discussing Worf’s plans for the future. Fed Amb to Kronos.
Worf – I am not  a diplomat.
Martok – And I am not a politician. But sometimes fate plays cruel tricks on us. Come Worf! Kronos needs you. And what’s more, I need you. Worf’s first loyalty is to Sisko. Martok bowled forward and embraced Worf in a big Klingon way.
Martok – An ambassador who will go targ hunting with me!  Maybe being chancellor won’t be so bad after all. He broke into a fierce laugh.
P196 Worf organized search all though Fire Caves for Sisko. His frustration like all his other emotions, right up on top for all to see.
Worf gives Ezri his bat’leth.

P144 the Romulan suddenly lurched forward, his head snapping back, then he sagged forward, blood trickling from his mouth, and directly behind him stood a gray and grizzled Klingon, his curved sword upraised in triumph, a large smear of blood running the length of the blade. He shouted one of those annoying Klingon battle cries that always sound like a cross between a belch and a hiccup, and he charged!
The  Romulans brought their phasers up, but the Klingon was remarkably quick. With a single slice he cut off the big Romulan's hands at the wrists. The other Romulan was a little faster and managed to fire a shot that tagged the old Klingon squarely in the chest and knocked him off his feet. The Klingon hit the ground clutching his wound and growling. Klingons have this thing about not showing pain, which is kind of ridiculous since everyone else could see he had a hole in his chest the size of a grapefruit. So while this big lug was writing around on the ground trying to pretend nothing was wrong, the Romulan calmly stood over him and took aim to finish him off.
Out of nowhere a blade cut squarely into the Romulan's throat, just above the collarbone. He grasped at the knife and tried to pull it out. But the edges of the blade were serrated, and the only way to remove it was to tear a huge gaping hole in his neck. He fell over and died. The Romulan who had lost both his hands died also.
I heard people behind me, one of them would be the person who had thrown the knife. She was accompanied by several more Klingons.
Jadzia Dax recognized Q, but said nothing. She knelt next to the fallen Klingon and gently stroked his face. Kor, she whispered. We should have been faster, I'm sorry.
Have I thought you nothing, Jadzia? Growled the old warrior. No apologies -
No fear, no tomorrow.' She finished the sentence, intoning it in a way that indicated she had heard it any number of times.
No tomorrow, agreed Kor and then his eyes rolled up and he was gone
Dax and the others clustered around him for a moment, and then Dax suddenly pitched her head back and unleashed the most ear-splitting howl I'd ever heard. To make matters worse, the others took up the cry. There is nothing more embarrassing than standing on a street corner with a bunch of Klingons braying. Q joined them - a good cry is therapeutic and the way they were doing it was tantamount to a sonic colonic.
They mercifully stopped and Dax approached me slowly. Her hair was down, long, and somewhat ratty. She was clad in Klingon battle garb. One of her eyes was missing.
Q, she said in a voice dripping with contempt. I should have known you'd be behind all this.
She looked at the others, but they shrugged mutely.
All right, she said, with a low growl that seemed to be a permanent part of her voice. Tell me what you do know.
Q tells Jadzia the universe is coming to an End.
She considered for a moment, and then sighed heavily. Figures.
One of the Klingons rumbled, We are in Sto-Vo-Kor.
Sto-Vo-Kor was the Klingon equivalent of warrior heaven and purgatory, all mixed into one. the charming part of the notion was that they were not acting under the watchful eye of any Klingon god, for as they were fond of saying, Klingons had killed their gods many centuries before.
Jadzia clearly didn't give much credence to the idea that we were in Sto-Vo-Kor
Jadzia hasn't been on DS 9 in years.
I am, I was, she looked sadly at the fallen body of the grizzled Klingon, the adopted sister of Kor. I saved his life during an expedition that went awry, we formed a tight bond, and he invited my  into his family. I found I had a taste for battle, and I accepted the life he offered.
This was a Jadzia Dax from another reflection of the multiverse
She grabbed the hilt of the knife she had buried in the Romulan and yanked it out of his neck. It tore a hole the size of my fist. She bent over and wiped the blade clean on his pants leg before shoving it back into her scabbard, then snarled in a feral manner. All their fault.
The Romulans! Said the ugliest of the Klingons.
She indicated the vista of burning buildings. This is a result of the battle between the Romulans and us.
Another Klingon took a step forward and rumbled. This place - there are a number of races here, but there are also many Romulans and many Klingons. that is how we know that this is Sto-Vo-Kor.
Because we are being given the chance to settle old scores and be believe - as do many others - that this -
Suddenly phasers blasts shot over our heads
P150 We've been out in the open too long! Dax snapped, apparently as angry at herself as she was at anyone else. Karg, suppressing fire! Everyone else, fall back!
Klingons do not retreat! One of them said angrily.
Q -You're not retreating! You're just advancing in the opposite direction! Do what she says!
There was the briefest of pauses, but then they followed her, Karg lagging behind to fire a round of blasts for the purpose of driving back any pursuers. Q could only assume they were deferring to her as adopted sibling to the late Kor.
There was obviously no time to pick up Kor's body and bring it along.
Karg continues - we are facing a final, ultimate test. The Romulans have always plagued us, tried to annihilate us. Now they are here, in Sto-Vo-Kor itself! No place is sacred! No place is beyond their defiling touch! This is the great Afterlife War that has been long predicted in the Klingon scripture. The most valiant of Klingons to face their most despicable of enemies. Here, all the injustices shall be made right! And here, we will annihilate every last Romulan, and that will dictate which race lives and which dies! What we do here will have ripple effects to the land of the living, and beyond that!
Dax - Karg, are you stupid?! Bellowed Dax, and she turned and struck him. Te blow rocked him and though it didn't knock him overt, he looked surprised. How can this be the land of the dead!? Kor is dead! Others are dead! How do you die in the land of the dead? Do you get deader? Think! Think, you great Klingon oaf!
Karg's eyes glared with such fury that Q thought they were about to leap from his head.
Karg - I do not care who you are or what your rank, he snarled, you do not address me in that manner and if you ever lay a hand on me again, I -
Karg turned his glare on Q - You dare insult me? You call me a moron?
Dax, he said and stabbed a finger at her, I shall deal with you later. But this one, and he suddenly pulled out his huge curved sword, I will attend to right now!
Suddenly the Romulans attacked. We were outnumbered. Numbers however, don't necessarily men anything to a Klingon, for one of them can fight with the strength of ten.
They were not interested in talking, blind fury had clearly seized them.
Even Jadzia Dax, her face twisted in anger, would have no dealings with the Romulans. Despite some of her high-flown rhetoric to the contrary, when faced with the enemy she was just as eager to throw herself into the fray as the rest of the Klingons.
The blasts of phasers scorched all around us, and the Romulans and Klingons attacked each other. Knives, short swords, daggers, everything was brought into play. There were the sounds of metal on metal, and grunts, and death rattles, and bodies falling to the ground.
Klingons and Romulans shouted curses and racial epithets that went back thousands of year
Q saw Dax with her hands at the throat of a blond female Romulans. The two of them were spitting and cursing, rolling about on the ground and doing everything they could to annihilate each other.
Karg staggered toward Q, he had a gaping wound in his stomach. Somewhere he still found enough resentment, real or imagined, to want to get even. A curved Klingon sword sliced though the air which a high-pitched whistling sound and sent Karg's head tumbling from his shoulders.
P217 Orions were among the most savage of races. Only Klingons surpassed them for sheer nastiness.
Equinox Part 1
Equinox was pulled in by the Caretaker, and spent time with him, too.
B tried to say hello to Max in sickbay but he was sedated. Max remembers, he thought he was dreaming.
Max – So, where’s my sweater? Blue one, class insignia on the back?
B – The last time we talked you were about to drop out of Starfleet
Max – I heard you beat me to it, the Maquis.
B – For a while.
B to Tom – We broke up over 10 years ago. No need to go to red alert.
Tom – How about yellow alert?
B – You’re cute when you’re jealous.
B – Intruder alert. Same old Max, going through my things. That is a command station, off limits without my direct authorization.
Maxwell Burke called B’E BLT, Bacon Lettuce Tomato. Went to Academy together. She never returned his blue sweater with class insignia on back. Max first officer on Equinox. Last time they talked Max was about to drop out of Academy. Max heard B’E did drop out, joined Maquis. B’E wasn’t hiding anything from Paris. We broke up over 10 years ago. B’E approached with that old swagger. Still had it. smile, still had it. would the old sensations sizzle?
Problem in the relationship was Max had never been interested in work or food.
B’E once called him a P’tak
Chakotay to Janeway on Ransom – Are you so race conscious that they’re worse than Klingons or Borg or any other thousand races who might spawn a bad egg? Somehow we have to hold humans to higher standards?

P28 Picard wished he'd brought a security team with a few Klingons on it. since he had no Klingons at his disposal he had to rely on his diplomatic resources.
P73 Picard looked at the chunk of fungus, slowly turning brown in his hand.
Troi - Anyone who eats gagh can eat that.
Picard - Thank you for the vote of confidence.
