WELCOME TO THE POETRY COLLECTION VAULT

Like You Care - (March 23rd 1998)
Written by / copyright - Greg Jones

You pretend to love me but your heart is frozen cold
What is this thrill of wicked fury that you so dearly hold?
You manipulate me, you try to break me into nothing less than dust
You don't care to see that very soon your own bubble is about to bust

And then you life comes crashing down upon a slate of beaten rock
You wonder as the world spins 'round why only now you stop
For in you past you were so tough, like a hard and twisted stone
And now your here left bruised and battered, scared and all alone

Mark Of The Futurist - (March 27th 1998)
Written by / copyright - Greg Jones

First to bear the utopian child
Mother of centuries that have ended and begun
Second to nature conceived by a local science
Wonder of word and honoured to law
Third party created in mastication
The child torn from within and received in bloodied gloves
Fourth corner of the world debriefed
The dawn of a new millennium falls upon them
And the silent earth awaits it's saviour
He grows into one of royal bearance
Educated by those of high IQ and nobility
He learns of human nature and of their history
And then he speaks his first word..
