Journal of a First Time Father
Week 7 - Well 2 weeks ago i found out i was going to be a father!!!  Just in time for fathers day talk about good timing  :)  I am more excited than i have ever been before, and for people who know me thats pretty amazing.  Shannon and i just got approved for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment, so well have a nice home for the baby to come home to!!  Yay!! :)  Well not much going on with the baby, bout the size of a raspberry which blows me away.  Shannon isnt showing much but she swears shes hugemongous (cute as a button).  Well once we move into the apartment well have more money and well be able to save and knock out major bills. Thats more stressfull with  bringing a life into existance.  This is going to be the longest nine months of my life!!!  lol  but should be fun. :)
Week 8 - Well week eight was a very interesting week.  On saturday Shannon noticed that all the signs that her body was giving her to let her know she was pregnant disapeared.  Well needless to say it really frightened her (dont let her know but it got me pretty bent as well).  She called the doctor and set up an appointment to get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok.  Well luckily we got an ultrasound and although it was too early to really see anything, we got to see the little babies tiny heartbeat.  We were so happy, because the baby was safe and we got to view the first proof of the pregnancy with our own eyes.  We both quit smoking thanks to the aid of modern medicine.  We are taking a pill called welbutrin (popular name zyban) the great thing is it eliminated the cravings and with being poor the need to buy the things is gone.  whew  more money for the baby and bills!!!
Week 9 - Well time has gone pretty quick this week and next tuesday will be our first official ultrasound.  We are going to be able to bring home pictures of the baby!!!  We've been looking forward to this day since we found out and its finally here  thankfully.  The old apartment is a shambles but its slowly shaping up as we box more and more things and throw out a bunch of stuff as well.  The move is coming along nicely and everything should be ready come packing day.  Shannon is still very tired but she says that will pass when she moves into the second tri-mester, and if our calculations are correct its only a few weeks away thankfully.  Im so glad i have the family and friends that support me and love me the way they do.  Thanx to all of you, you make this incredibly easy for me to do.  :)
