Silver Springs

Silver Springs

Been awhile since Ive thought about that night.

I never did thank you, did I?

Dont know how you stayed warm, even under those layers. All I could see was your eyes warm and dark, like twilight in Indian summer. They were watchin the tip jar, the glass of water you hardly touched, that nasty drunken fuck that was sniffin around you. And me.

I couldve eaten you for breakfast, but you just sat there, watchin me. And watchin over me.

Goddamn, baby, when the claws came out you didnt even flinch.

I know because I was watchin you, too.

"Time cast a spell on you, but you wont forget me"
