| Mike Magri wins games 1-3 and appears on his way to Cup #4. However, in games 4 and 5 Mike goes 0-2. After 5, Mike and Andrew are tied at 3-2, but mike has one more point than Andrew and therefore Andrew has no chance at the Cup. Paul and Eric were 2-3, and Paul had a one point lead over Eric, meaning Eric was also out of the running. There were three possible outcomes of game 6: 1. Mike wins game 6 and wins the Cup 2. Paul wins by at least 5 points and wins his 3rd Cup 3. Paul and Eric beat Mike and Andrew by exactly 4 points, forcing OT In the end, Paul and Eric won game 6 10-6, forcing the first overtime in Rafters Cup history. In game 7, M+E blew away A+P 13-1 in the biggest blowout in Cup history. Eric also won Game 8, giving him a slim 3 point lead. But in game 9, a loner by Andrew as well as a few other good hands helped Mike win by five points, giving him his 4th straight Cup. |
