First let me say that I am aware that this page is off center....for some reason GeoCities won't let me format my page today (sigh).  I cannot bitch, it is after all FREE...(*august...think i've fixed the problem)

Second, there is a kitten nursing on my toe right now...

I don't think I've mentioned it before...but I'm fat.  I've tried one diet after another...I guess DIET really does spell "die with a 't' on the end", but what does the "t" stand for? Tomorrow perhaps?  The last diet I tried was Atkin's.  The result? Blood and protein in my urine....oh yeah, some wicked pitting edema in my lower legs.  I also have swelling in my forearms and hands.  DID I MENTION MY PISS HAD BLOOD IN IT?  Because I'm a nurse I know something is going on with my kidneys...because I don't have any insurance, I can't do anything about it :(

I'm pretty pissed off.  I want to lose weight.  I have hypothyroidism and PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), one alone makes it difficult to lose weight...both of them together are killing me!  I don't know what else to try.  Right now I'm just pissed.

My body seems to be rebelling against me~BASTARD!

I broke my toe today (again).  I've broken several of them before, or fractured anyway...maybe not BROKEN them.  It started turning purple within  15 minutes of hitting it.  My toes are all double jointed and do strange things anyway, you'd think I'd have to whack one pretty hard to break/fracture one...but NOOOOOOooooooooo....they are easy to do.  I'm looking down at it now (after shoeing the kitty away)...it's not pretty.  But I can still walk so I'm good to go...Drs can't do anything for a broken toe anyway except take an Xray, take your money and say, "Yep, it's broken alright...too bad we can't do anything for broken toes"...so screw that (especially since I don't have insurance!)

Not only am I fat and have a broken toe....I have RINGWORM!  My hubby rescued a kitty and brought it home.  The kitty brought along some fungi for the hell of it...the kitty is going bald and I have a pretty little red patch on my left forearm. (sigh) hope I don't pass it on to my little patients when I go back to work in August. I sure can't afford to stay out of work for a month while it heals. I'm treating it though with Lamisil and Tea Tree Oil and keeping it covered with a band-aid.  Now the kitty, I think we may just have to shave her....

SPEAKING OF BROKEN TOES.....When I was totally bored earlier today I did a search on broken toes just to see if anyone else was bitching about one...and I found this HILLARIOUS blog called The Broken Toe Diaries,  please go there when you need to laugh:
