| Monday, August 30th Still haven't heard anything about the get together. I hope it is soon. I didn't mention something that happened on the day of the funeral that I am now going to mention. I didn't mention it earlier because I needed time to process it completely, and I feel that I have done that now. I have a story to tell, I'll make it brief I promise. When I was 18 I met a great guy named John (I'll insert a pic -here- if I can find one I didn't burn). We hit it off right away. I was introduced to John by my current husbands ex-girlfriends boyfriend (at the time). His name was Dan, Dan was a Dork (henceforth known as DD). Susan was DD's girlfriend and my roommate. Susan was busy doing something one afternoon and DD was bored, so he poped by and asked me if I wanted to go to a friends house with him to see about playing some D&D. I was excited! I hadn't played D&D in YEARS! DD and I drove across town to a broken down house that was divided into apartments. In it's day, the house must have been gorgeous! It was over 100 years old :) ANYWAY, when we arrived there was this guy named Stuart there. We hung out for awhile. I thought Stu was really cute. He had (and I suppose still has) the most gorgeous green eyes I have ever seen. They are truly peridot...and peridot is one of my favorite stones :) The picture you see here is a more current pic. I haven't seen Stu in about 15 years, but I snagged this off his site (shhhhhh!) Ok...so a few hours later this other guy comes in. His name is John, he's kinda dorky acting...but he has really pretty blue eyes. DARK, like the blue on the background of the american flag (where the stars are). I guess I'm a sucker for pretty eyes ;P He acted interested in me...Stu didn't. They were both cute.... John asked me out, so I went out with him. Our first date was at the Red Lobster in Macon, I took a napkin and wrote our names and the date on it. We only dated a few months. I was upset when we broke up, don't get me wrong, but then, after I thought about it, we just didn't have that kind of relationship. We had become really close as friends, and it just wasn't right to be "together" anymore. So, we wern't together anymore, but we were still ALWAYS together! LOL Playing D&D at Monk's, at the Opera House getting trashed, shopping at the mall, or just hanging out. Everyone still thought we were together, whether we admited it or not LOL :D I moved in to the broken down house in the apt across from John and Stu. I loved that place! Cheap rent and huge ceilings! I was there about a year, and then my boyfriend/boss moved me into the new college apartments on the other end of town. I met some cool people there, I wish I could find Carolyn. I saw Amy not too long ago...she is living in Watkinsville, but I can't remember her last name to look her up and call! I stayed there about a year and I ran out of money :( So, I planned to move with my Granny up to YankeeLand (TM) for a while. I kinda left because of John though too. I was really confused...sometimes I thought I loved him, and it just killed me that he didn't love me. I couldn't stand being around him all the time and not being "with" him. But I didn't really. I was just confused. I mean, I still dated freakin' EVERYONE...lol ;P And I still lusted after Stu! John helped me move. We saw a shooting star that night on the drive. I remember thinking that we saw one on our first date. That was kind of odd I though, he thought so too. We kept in touch for years and years and years....We got together over the years when we were single and would hook up for a weekend or something. He even spent about 5 days with me and my 1st fiance. He tried to talk me into coming back to GA with him. Not to be "with" him, I could stay with him until I found a job and place. I almost left my fiance. But I didn't....that was a mistake! Welcome to ex-husband number 1. Wish I had a picture of THAT bastard to post! Well, It's late and I have to get up early. I will finish this tomorrow. Signing off for now, and leaving you hanging! |
