VEGETABLES
I feel like a traitor to my family including this section. We all have a genetic quirk hardwired into our systems that makes us turn the exact shade of whatever vegetable we're trying our hardest to surreptitiously feed the family dog while our mothers aren't looking. This doesn't let up until we're in High School. Then we embark upon a mercifully brief Friends of the Earth kick, and eat vegetables because we think it's cool to. Later, in adulthood, we do it because we have to... vegetables are low in calories, high in complex carbohydrates, and good for the heart. Face it, something's gotta bust through the arterial sludge left behind by all the pasta and sauce. So we might as well make it taste good.
