Chris's Page
Chris is a big ol' geek. Seriously. He uses his computer to search for aliens -- 'nuff said. And as such, he likes to visit some of the geekier sites on the internet:
- Theforce.net: As of today, there are only 83 more days until Chris is waiting in line to see Revenge of the Sith at midnight.
- Starwars.com: That's only 1,996 hours. Until then there are these websites.
- TheOneRing.net: Not so much going on here now that all of the Lord of the Rings movies are done, but still an interesting read.
- Decipher.com: Makers of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings collectible card games. There was a time when Chris used to go meet with other geeks at a Chik-Fil-A and play cards. No more, though he still likes to keep up with the new sets as they come out.
- Ain't It Cool News: This guy is even geekier than Chris, but it's a good source of movie news.
- Roger Ebert: He said Dark City was the best film of 1998 -- that's true geekiness for you.
- DVDFile: Where to go for the latest in DVD news and reviews.
- Movie-List: Movie trailers in glorious Quicktime. If only we weren't saddled with this infernal dialup connection!
- SETI@Home: The aforementioned alien search utility. Sad to say, Chris has been searching for aliens longer than he has been with Renée -- for over five years. In that time his computer has processed some 4600+ work units. In recognition of his geeky accomplishments, he has been awarded this Certificate of Achievement. Stay tuned to this page for the momentous occasion when Chris breaks the 5000 work unit barrier sometime in March.
There's more to Chris than pure geekiness, though. Keep checking back to learn more about this new daddy!
