Superman (1978)
40 years after the origonal Superman Comic, a superman finally flew onto the big screen. The Film was a big sucess, making over $300 million world wide.
Superman stars a great cast with Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando, and an excellect crew too. John Williams arranged and conducted one of his greatest scores ever with great memorable songs like the theme song the "Can you read my mind?" Love theme.
Jor-El of planet krypton sends his son Kal-El to the planet Earth as his home planet is destroyed. Kal-El is raised by John and Martha Kent under the name Clark. Soon he grows into the superhero "Superman".
He gets a job at the Daily Planet, as a reporter. He takes on the Evil Mastermind Lex Luthor, Luthors plot is to destroy california and take over the west coast in the biggest real-estate ploy ever.
A Great film, lots of action, something for everyone. A Great film, I recommend it.

Superman's Chances are very low, although it stand a better chance then some films in this tournament, the film has little chance in it's first match against Empire Strikes Back.
