for four timpani

This quick and agile piece for four timpani was my first for a solo percussionist. It is particularly tricky with some of the single-hand rhythms and crossovers and involves playing the timpani with maraca-mallets. It is vaguely reminiscent of Latin music in that the last beat of each measure tends to get accented (although the length of each measure is quite malleable, as might be expected in a piece of mine).
