Typical Pumpjack
The ranch has a number of oil and gas and water injection wells.  Many of the wells have large pumpjacks.  About 67% of the ranch is relatively free of the "oilfield".


The ranch is nearer to Lamesa than Seminole and Dawson County gets more rain than a lot of West Texas, getting about 19 iches per year.  The average elevation is about 3,100 ft.

The soil is loam, fine sandy loam, and fine sand.  It has high sand ridges, valleys, and sloping, undulating plains with most slopes 0-3%.
