Our club is an affiliate of the International MOMS Club®, which has 2000+ chapters in the US alone with over 100,000 members. The International MOMS Club® was founded in 1983 by a stay-at-home mom tired of being isolated all day. She wanted to meet other stay-at-home moms and wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she could not find an organization that met during the day and allowed her to bring her baby and pre-schooler, she decided to start MOMS Club®. The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club®, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Club® across the country and around the world!
The MOMS Club® of Grayslake, IL was founded in 1995. Our club quickly expanded and has split twice. The last split occurred in October 2004 and formed MOMS Club® of Grayslake-North, IL and MOMS Club® of Grayslake-South, IL. Our club remains a very strong group of over 35 families.
