About Us
The Griffith & Regional Association of the Performing Arts Inc. (aka GRAPA) is a Community Theatre Group located in the South-West NSW city of Griffith, in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area - Wine & Food Country.

The Association was formed in 2001 following the staging of a community production of
Oliver! in 1999 where it was recognised a community theatre company was needed in the Griffith region on a permanent basis. GRAPA follows in the excellent footsteps of previous Griffith-based theatre companies - GADS and GTC.

The Association has staged 16 productions of our own in the last 6 years, plus involvement (performance and stage management) in several other community events, such as Australia Day concerts,
La Festa Easter festivals, Wine & Jazz days, Emergency Services simulations, and even a Hip Hop concert!

Part proceeds of various productions have gone to worthy local organizations, such as Suicide Awareness, Cancer Council, School P&Cs, sporting bodies and others.

GRAPA always aims to stage top-quality productions that cover a wide range of theatre, including: Shakespeare, Cabaret, Theatre Restaurant, Musicals, Comedy/Farce and hard-hitting drama and to showcase the depth of talent that exists in our region.
