Metro Logo
The Metro is a light rail rapid transport system. There are 59 Metro stations linking North Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside with trains running every 15 minutes.

Granville Lodge is located between Palmersville Station and Benton Stations.

The Metro system is very accessible with lifts or ramps at all stations.

Bus Services

bus Granville is located near bus routes that connect to all areas of Newcastle. Over half of the local bus fleet consists of low floor vehicles. A number of services go to Four Lane Ends, which is a modern interchange connecting buses and Metro trains.

Forest Hall Road
Forest Hall Road is located approximately 5 minutes walk from Granville Lodge. The buses that stop here are:

18 - Forest Hall - Freeman Hospital - Wallsend
63 - Chapel House - Newcastle - Forest Hall - Killingworth
319 - Wallsend - Asda - Forest Hall - Killingworth
343 - Whitley Bay - Cramlington - Forest Hall - Morpeth
344 - Whitley Bay - Forest Hall - Cramlington - Morpeth
350 - Four Lane Ends - Wideopen - Dudley (circular)
351 - Four Lane Ends - Dudley - Wideopen - (circular)
355 - Haymarket - Gosforth - Forest Hall - Whitley Bay
K2 - Four Lane Ends - Killingworth - Forest Hall
M55 - Haymarket - Four Lane Ends - Meadway - Palmersville - Haymarket (circular)

The M55 runs every 15 minutes. The 355 runes every 30 minutes.

Meadway
The bus stops on Meadway are located approximately 2 minutes walk from the Main entrance of Granville Lodge. The buses stopping here are the 350, 351 and M55, details as above.

Ferry

Ferry The Shields Ferry - either the Spirit of the Tyne or the Pride of the Tyne - operate across the River Tyne between North and South Shields ferry landings.

The crossings are every 30 minutes in each direction and take about seven minutes. It only costs 50p in you have a concessionary pass.

TaxiLink

Nexus, provide TaxiLink, a service for those unable to use conventional public transport. This service costs just £1.00 each trip.

To use TaxiLink you must be receiving High Rate Mobility, DLA or attendance allowance or be registered as severely visually impaired or blind.
