Whew!!! Another week flew by. Thought I'd start with a review of an old issue that has recently popped up. Just wanted all of you to remember the real problems that existed prior to 2001 when we had peace (we were hit 5 times by al Qaeda), prosperity (the Clinton administration caught cooking the books by 30% to cover the true state of the economy), and love (where oral sex is not sex).
Stealing is not a crime
Everyone remember Sandy Berger? The guy who went into the national archives and stuffed classified documents into his pants and socks? Well let's have a looksee.
Sandy Berger gives up law license; Ex-
Clinton
security adviser smuggled secret papers from
National Archives; MSNBCnews.com/AP; June
8, 2007
The Burglar gave up his law license. He doesn't practice law any more anyway.
WASHINGTON - Sandy Berger, who
served
as national security adviser during the Clinton
administration, has given up his license to
practice law in the District of Columbia, two
years after admitting he illegally sneaked
classified documents out of the National
Archives.
That pretty much says a lot. He admitted the illegallity of his actions. How awfully big of him.
In April 2005, Berger admitted destroying
some of the documents and then lying about
it. He called his actions a lapse of judgment
that came while he was preparing to testify
before the Sept. 11 commission. The
documents he took contained information on
terror threats in the United States during the
2000 millennium celebration.
So why did he destroy them, is the real question. Well, I feel much better now, he admited it was a lapse of judgement. Gosh, he was only on his way to testify before the famous Sept 11th Commission with his ol' pal Billie-bob Clinton.
Berger had only copies of documents; all
the
originals remain in the government's
possession. A report by the archives
inspector general said that Berger
acknowledged hiding some of them at a
construction site near the archives building in
Washington.
That lapse of judgment included hiding them at a construction site. Doesn't it interest anyone what was in those documents that he would destroy them? What was the Burglar's penalty for this crime?
Berger was sentenced Thursday to community
service and probation and fined $50,000 for
illegally removing highly classified documents
from the National Archives and intentionally
destroying some of them.
Berger must perform 100
hours of
community
service and pay the fine as well as $6,905 for
the administrative costs of his two-year
probation, a district court judge
ruled.
CNN September 8,
2005
Well now, let's contrast that with Scooter Libby's sentence.
Walton sentenced Vice President Dick
Cheney's former chief of staff to 2 and a half years in
prison for lying and obstructing the CIA leak
investigation - the probe that showed a White
House obsessed with criticism of its decision
to go to war.
He fined Libby $250,000 and placed him on
two years probation after his prison sentence
expires. There is no parole in the federal
system, but Libby would be eligible for release
after two years.
MSNBCnews.com/AP June 5, 2007
What did Scooter Libby do? A crime was never committed nor was anyone ever charged with a crime. Scooter Libby did not "out" Valerie Plame as a covert agent, Richard Armitage did. Just how did this come about then? Scooter Libby forgot who mentioned Valerie Plame's name to him and mistakenly said it was Tim Russert. And that is worth 30 months in the slammer. Think Scooter Libby should have used the classic Broom Hillary defence. When asked how the Whitewater billing records suddenly appeared in the White House after having been missing for 2 and a half years, "I really don't remember." Too bad you can't hide memories in a construction site or in your pants. Ohhh now, check that. You can hide them in your pants, Billie-bob has more than 30 years now.

Clinton: U.S. must boost manufacturing By
DAVID AGUILAR; June 9, 2007; AP News
If this is the smartest then heaven help us all, because she surely doesn't have a clue about economics.
Detroit. Hillary Rodham Clinton told union
members and their families Saturday that the
country must spend more on manufacturing.
"If we don't have a strong manufacturing
base in our economy, it won't be long until we
don't have a strong economy," the
Democratic presidential candidate said.
Mrs Brilliance here needs to go back and redo Economics 101. The country must spend more on manufacturing? Does she mean the country? Or, does she mean manufacturers in the country? In either case Broom Hilda is wrong. If she meant the country then she would need to raise taxes because the government produces no revenue. Raising taxes means higher costs to manufacturers and higher prices lead to a decrease in demand. A decrease in demand means less cars sold.
Now if Mrs Evil meant manufacturers need
to
spend more on manufacturing, then costs go
up. When costs go up demand goes down,
hence less cars sold.
She also cited education, said she wanted
to
work for universal health care and would bring
troops home from Iraq.
Here again the broom rider shows her ineptitude of economic principles. Paying for health care and increases in education spell tax increases. Tax increases reduce consumer spending simply because the average citizen has less money in his pocket because of taxes. Less consumer spending means less cars sold. And this is the smartest woman on the planet?
"We borrow money every day from other
countries like China," Clinton said.
Where does she get her information? Who borrows money from China? The U.S.? Corporations? Man, is she dumb about economics. The U.S. might have a trade deficit with China (gasp, gasp, shudder, shudder). That is not borrowing, but even so, a trade deficit is totally in our favor. When we have a trade deficit, we pay them money, or whatever you want to call it, it is paper. We export paper ladies and gentlemen. Pure and simple. What do the Chicoms do with the paper, they have to spend it in the U.S. Talk about a racket. We export paper and we receive commodities. Then we get our paper back. Don't tell the Chicoms or they will get onto our tricks. This is government racketeering.
Michigan AFL-CIO President Mark Gaffney
said Clinton delivered a strong message.
"I think she set herself up as a very credible
labor candidate," he said. "She showed she
understands our issues, as well as agrees with
our issues."
Why would a guy like Gaffney, president of the largest labor union in the U.S., make such a dumb statement? Simple, union memberships are down and they are big democratic donors. They expect reciprocation from the Broom Lady if she gets into office. Problem is, most of the country's knowledge of economics is so poor, they swallow this up.
Organized labor spent some $100 million on
get-out-the-vote efforts last year, and
reached tens of millions of voters by phone
calls, mail and door-to-door canvassing on
behalf of labor-backed candidates.
See what I mean? I don't think the labor unions are beating the bushes to support the Bushes. Maybe we can revisit the education issue, but this time, spend it on economic principles.
Don't drop your soap in the shower
fellas
Hang on to your butts you guys, we have to make way for some changes.
Gays concerned by surgeon general nominee,
Cite worries Holsinger rejects science and
promotes ideology; MSNBCnews.com/AP,
June 6, 2007
I guess the tippy-toe crowd is going to force their agenda on you whether you like it or not.
LEXINGTON, Kentucky - President George W.
Bush's nominee to be the top health official in
the United States has come under fire from
gay rights groups for, among other things,
voting to expel a lesbian pastor from the
United Methodist Church and writing in 1991
that gay sex is unnatural and unhealthy.
Hmm, unnatural and unhealthy. I wonder if there is any truth to that?
The surgeon general nominee, Kentucky
cardiologist Dr. James Holsinger, also helped
found a Methodist congregation that,
according to gay rights activists, believes
homosexuality is a matter of choice and can
be "cured."
Hmm, matter of choice. Cured?c I wonder if there is any truth to that.
Holsinger served as Kentucky's health
secretary and chancellor of the University of
Kentucky's medical center. He taught at
several medical schools and spent more than
three decades in the Army Reserve, retiring
in 1993 as a major general.
What's this? This guy has a degree? Naa, don't let credentials get in the way of opinion. Probably a field promotion medical degree anyway.
Sixteen years ago, he wrote a paper for
the
church in which he likened the reproductive
organs to male and female "pipe fittings" and
argued that homosexuality is therefore
biologically unnatural.
(scratching head) Sounds logical to me, but then, don't let logic get in the way of gay ideology. I find it a little illogical when some guy might think some other guy's butt is sexy.
"When the complementarity of the sexes is
breached, injuries and diseases may occur,"
Holsinger wrote, citing studies showing higher
rates of sexually transmitted diseases among
gay men and the risk of injury from anal
sex.
Gilgor, the gay rights activist, called the
paper
"one twisted piece of work."
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force,
which is opposing the nomination along with
the Human Rights Campaign and other local
and national groups, calls such a practice
"nothing short of torture" for gays.
Twisted piece of work? Torture? I wouldn't call it that. I'd say you might want to call a pipefitter. It'd be less torturous that way.
