Every so often you run across a couple of stories that just plain PISS YOU OFF royally. There are 3 stories which showed up recently that fall into that category. I will probably slip into vulgarity in this commentary, and I ask you to overlook it when I do.

"Piss you off" story number 1

This Time story makes it to the top. Time/Warner/CNN is just a part of the mass media trash journalism. Included should be AP and all the major news outlets. Hats off to Rupert Murdoch and FoxNews.
Divided They Fall; Jul. 10, 2008 By MICHAEL KINSLEY, Time/CNN
No problem with the opening paragraph and I put this in to set the stage.
Consider the Republican Party. Many Republicans dislike John McCain with a passion that has lasted for years. Asked to explain, they refer to the McCain-Feingold campaign-finance-reform law (which they thought, incorrectly as it turns out, would bite Republicans more than Democrats), or his opposition (since rescinded) to the Bush tax cuts, ...
Not a McModerate lover myself, but considering the alternative...
Now consider the Democratic Party. The one-on-one rivalry between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama lasted only about three months from beginning to end. Their policy disagreements are negligible. For many Clinton supporters, the chance to elect an African-American President represents the culmination of a cause they have been fighting for all their lives. Yet almost half of Clinton supporters tell pollsters that they will not vote for Obama.
Not much of a problem with that either, except Kinsley thinks it a crime that democrap would actually even think about not voting for another democrap.
If you listen to a lot of right-wing talk radio (as I do), you can hear the troops being rallied. O.K., so maybe McCain isn't really our type. But he's our nominee. And consider the alternative! Obama is the most radical left-winger since the French Revolution. He is a fanatical leveler who hates rich people and despises success. Plus, he's an elitist snob. And his wife thinks she's better than everyone else because she's black. Truth to tell, the radio guys would rather have had Clinton to rail against, out of habit if nothing more. They spent most of their energy during primary season going after her. (Hillary nostalgia is surely one reason they are so obsessed with Michelle Obama.) But they have turned their guns on Barack Obama with remarkable ease and speed.
Turned their guns? Not an accidental choice of words there. However, Kinsley seems to think that everyone on the right can't get over bashing Clinton. The guy (and his wife) were the most scandalous ridden duo in the history of the republic. Ever "note" any Bush bashing? Only about 10,000 times a day.
Democrats aren't like that. It's not that they're too nice or too principled, or too unwilling to be ruthless. The hatred of George W. Bush on the left--and the eagerness to see him gone--is at this point as extreme as anything the right has to offer. (I know this because I share it.)
Democrats aren't like that? They're too nice? What planet are you from? You are a "total" idiot
Furthermore, as I suggested in this space a few weeks ago, it is at least an open question as to whether Democrats this year will attempt to match the Republicans in their willingness to "swift-boat"--that is, to play dirty in what they regard as a noble cause.
Swift boat is to play dirty and a noble cause? This guy is a f***ing idiot. The swiftboat veterans for truth were just that, they told the truth about another colossal fool -John Kerry - and they call that dirty?
But true, professional unscrupulousness--the kind of do-anything-to-win pragmatism that Democrats envy in Republicans--requires more than just working yourself up into a lather of dislike.
That statement is total BULL SHIT and should be directed at the other side. The party of hate has an "ass" as their mascot. That is not coincidental either.
In the case of Hillary Clinton's erstwhile supporters, all of these feelings seem overwrought to me. But there is no point in arguing about this, or at least not now. Now is the time to just get over it.
Any of you democraps notice that you are being lectured to here? You are being insulted in case you don't know it.
Barack Obama has refused $84 million of government money for the fall campaign because he believes he can raise more privately. For the Democrats to find it easier than the Republicans to raise money is a recent development, and a somewhat inspiring one. Affluent people who give to the Republican Party are advancing their own class interests, whereas those who give to the Democrats generally aren't. This suggests an admirable seriousness about their giving. On the other hand, if they go off in a snit when their candidate loses the nomination, that will suggest that they aren't really in this out of progressive passion--they just find politics an amusing hobby, like racehorses or yachts.
What utter trash!!! Those giving to Republicans are advancing their own interests while those giving to democraps aren't. Honestly this makes me want to throw up. However remember this guy is a democrat writing to a bunch of democrats who read Time and watch CNN. You probably don't even know you've been berated yet again by an elitist pinhead.

As with all stories put out by these mass media propaganda artists you need to ask the reason for writing such a blistering piece. Have you figured it out? The answer is there and easy to find.

It's out of sheer panic they put this up. "For many Clinton supporters, the chance to elect an African-American President represents the culmination of a cause they have been fighting for all their lives. Yet almost half of Clinton supporters tell pollsters that they will not vote for Obama." They're scared s***less. If the Broomer's voters go 50% for McModerate, they're screwed and they know it. A democrap strategist summed it up best in a recent comment, "We can't win with blacks and eggheads." One thing I don't know however is which eggheads is he referring to? The highly educated university types? Or anyone calling themself a democrat? They are one and the same to me.

"Piss you off" story number 2

The leftists went to great lengths to impugn Bush for going into Iraq for WOMDs. They have been calling for impeachment, demanding that he be tried for crimes against humanity, and many other spurious charges. But seriously, how many of you have seen this article or heard this news?
U.S. gets 'yellowcake' uranium out of Iraq; July 6, 2008; BY BRIAN MURPHY, Chicago Sun Times
Not too many of you I bet. Just bear with me, this is guaranteed to piss you off even more.
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program -- a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium -- reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.
Nuclear program? Yellowcake? Bear with me, the whitewash continues.
The removal of 550 metric tons of ''yellowcake'' -- the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment -- was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam's nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.
550 metric tons? Brought relief? Hang on folks, I guarantee a piss off.
Accusations that Saddam had tried to buy more yellowcake from Niger -- and a former U.S. ambassador's criticism of the claims -- led to a wide-ranging probe into Washington leaks.
First of all that much yellowcake is enough to destroy half the world or more. Isn't that enough to vindicate the stupid accusations leveled at Bush for 7 years? But second in this is the fact that Scooter Libby is still on trial and going broke for a mixup in a name related to supposedly getting Valerie Plame outed as a CIA agent? Joe Wilson's trip report was a total lie and Libby may yet go to jail on this. I refer back to that idiot Time journalist where he states that Democrats are too nice and too principled. Doesn't it piss you off!

"Piss you off" story number 3

Gosh, this is going on longer than I hoped, but this is the last one (for now).
McCain Battles a Nemesis, the Teleprompter; By MARK LEIBOVICH; July 6, 2008; The New York Times
I guess I should just get over it, but I just can't. I must be like one of those disgruntled Hillary supporters.
Senator John McCain was performing relatively smoothly as he unveiled his energy plan.

He managed to limit the mechanical hand chops and weirdly timed smiles that can often punctuate his speeches. He delivered his lines with an ease that suggested a momentary peace with his longtime nemesis, the teleprompter. (He relied on a belt-and-suspenders approach, with text scrolling down screens to his left and right, and on a big TV set in front of him.)
This story is pure pathetic nonsensical drivel. Ask yourself again, "why was this story written?".
But when Mr. McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, came to the intended sound bite of his speech - the part about reducing America's dependence on foreign oil - he hit a slick.

"I have set before the American people an energy plan, the Lex-eegton Project," Mr. McCain said, drawing a quick breath and correcting himself. "The Lex-ing-ton Proj-ect," he said slowly. "The Lexington Project," he repeated. "Remember that name."
You have to ask yourself which one of the 57 states he was in when he made that slip.
In a town meeting in Cincinnati the next day, Mr. McCain would again slip up on the name of the Massachusetts town, where, he noted, "Americans asserted their independence once before." He called it "the Lexiggdon Project" and twice tried to fix his error before flipping the name ("Project Lexington") in subsequent references.
It fits the template of the mass media, all Republicans are stupid and lazy and all democrats are intellectual and tireless workers.
Mr. McCain and his advisers know that Mr. Obama's ability to excite huge crowds will make for an inevitable podium mismatch for the older, softer-spoken Republican. "We're going up against a guy who is off the charts," said Mark Salter, Mr. McCain's longtime Senate chief of staff and campaign adviser.
Not only is he a dunce, but an OLD dunce.
Indeed, Mr. McCain and his advisers seem to be trying to present him as a kind of anti-Obama whose weaknesses as a political performer underscore his accessibility to regular voters.
A kind of an anti-Obama? Old, dumb, lazy, and tongue-tied compared to the erudite Odumbo. Great strategy. Enough of this claptrap. The media crucified Quayle for his mis-spelling potato. They jumped all over Bush's speech patterns. But a pass given to Obama for his thinking there are 60 states in the union. His inability to speak without a teleprompter. A pass given to Kerry for his "voting for it before he voted against it" comment. A pass for Mr. Global Warming Algore for his claiming to have invented the internet.

So why is the story written? To cover up for their own candidate's spoken gaffs. (Listen to them here.) Typical circle the wagon politics from the media eggheads.
