Well we are now in the middle of summer and guess what, it's hot. Well, why not? It's July and that happens every year in July. What else? Well we are getting closer to August and that means closer the Democrat National Convention. I haven't seen any stories on it yet, but it will happen. I, myself, think the world will stand still on the day they crown Barrack Hussein Obama as the nominee. I mean, this man has that much power!
When a man of "the Cloth" speaks...
The Reverend Jesse Jackson aired his opinion on the presumptive Democrat nominee and I will let you decide on its accuracy.
Rev. Jesse Jackson Caught Bad-Mouthing Obama; CBS2Chicago.com; Jul 9, 2008
I don't know about you, but I detect a little disunity in the "unifier candidate".
The Rev. Jesse Jackson was caught on a live microphone disparaging Barack Obama's relationship with African American church-goers.
Disparaging comment? What did he say Eye?
Jackson, during a break in a Fox News interview, made a very crude statement regarding Obama's relationship with African Americans after the presidential candidate made several speeches on morality at black churches.
Crude? What did he say Eye?
The reverend moved quickly to apologize to Obama and explain himself to reporters.
Apologize? What did he say Eye?
Just a suggestion, mind you, but he did say it.
"Well, they were hurtful and wrong, that's the whole point," Jackson said of his words. "And when you make mistakes you should not equivocate... blah, blah, blah..."
So Jesse, what is it you think? What would you like to do to Senator Obama?
Jackson allegedly said of Obama that he'd like to "cut his ---- out," using a crude term for the male anatomy. The comments surfaced Wednesday afternoon.
GASP!! Coming from a Reverend no less. He must have been reading his Bible.
How can you say that Eye? You are such an
insensitive jerk!!
Not really, I am truthful here. Read the Bible yourself. That's what they used to do to prisoners during Biblical days. Prisoners taken by the people we now know as Muslims today.
We don't give a hoot, we pollute.
While the worldwide press blames the USA for the world's pollution, guess who gets a free pass.
Olympic nightmare: A red tide in the Yellow Sea; By Jim Yardley; June 30, 2008
Anyone travel across the country lately? Do you see any of this on the shores of the USA?
I am going to post a few pictures to support my case.
With less than six weeks before it plays host to the Olympic sailing regatta, the city of Qingdao has mobilized thousands of people and an armada of small boats to clean up an algae bloom that is choking large stretches of the coastline and threatening to impede the Olympic competition.
I think perhaps the swimming competition should be held at this location. Those new Speedo suits could really be tested then.
One local newspaper reported that 11,000 college students had volunteered for cleanup duty during the weekend. Several companies organized teams of employees to help.
Gosh, why don't we send some of our college students and faculty to help. They might learn something that way. (Big Smile)
