In 2001, Adam and Shane started their first band, (affectionately named BANNED). This band lasted 2 years with different drummers. Eventually Adam's older brother, Trevor, joined the band as a drummer and they changed their name to Chubby Rain. In 2003 they changed their name to Blue Lemonade and aquired a new bassist, Jeff (Stranger Than Fiction/Cronus bassist) That summer they hosted a party at Adam's house. Blue Lemonade and 2 other bands played, Jeff's other band the Thundercats, and Corey's only band at the time, Slap Happy. Corey's band was horrible and this resulted in Adam and Shane relentlessly making fun of their music, thus bringing the boys of G.P.C a little bit closer together. When Trevor left for recording college, Adam and Shane started many bands including the Egg Whites. The Egg Whites wrote a song called Shooting Star which G.P.C now plays under a different title : Shadow. Around Christmas-time that year, Adam, Shane, Corey, and Jeff played Ex-Miss for the Greenon Choir Christmas Concert. After this performance it became clear to the boys (with the exception of Jeff) that they needed to start an actual band together. Corey picked up the bass and sucked at it for a while, but things progressed and The Gran Pappy Coalition was writing and learning vast amounts of songs. They played their first show the following summer at The Ringside Cafe in Springfield. They were the opening act for a band called Splurge. Around Christmas of that year they returned to the Ringside as a main act with fellow Enon/Springfield band Cronus as the opening act. In 2005 they picked up two horn players, Katie and Katy, and included them in their act at the Greenon Talent Show. The horns were a hit, and are now becoming more included in many of G.P.C's songs. The Gran Pappy Coalition are still writing songs and are preparing to record an actual album very soon.
