Free Mental Health Services - Project Relief

Below is my cell phone number and further down is a list of the counselors and their numbers who are participants in the grant I am working under. Please share this info with the casemanagers who need referrals for their clients who need mental health therapy as a result of Katrina. We are paid by the grant and there is no charge to the client

The Gulf Coast Counseling Association has been awarded funding for Project Relief from the Hurricane Katrina Relief Campaign, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. This funding permits licensed mental health professionals to provide problem-solving and relief interventions at community sites in Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson counties. Services will be offered for children and families on weekdays and Saturday, during the months of May through the end of 2006. These services are free.

Project Relief Board Members are Gloria Dean of Diamondhead, Carolyn Anderson of Long Beach, Keith Ballard of Gulfport, Dr. Jane Cook of Ocean Springs, and Project Director Dr. Carol B. Jones of Gulfport.

For information about Project Relief services, contact Dr. Jones at 228.896.8983.
