Old News.....
4.24.03 - Not too much news to report other than things are really moving in the Squash camp. Shows and recording schedules are being organized. We're about to pick the tracklist, so get those last second votes in. Keep up with the latest news and interaction on the message board. If anyone noticed, the photo page is back up after a brief problem.
5.5.03 - It's May and things are moving. Plans are being set. We're most happy that Eclipted will be joining with 30 Days to Boston and ourselves on the EP venture. Expect it during the end of July. Eclipted has all ready begun recording, 30 days will start soon, and we'll start in June. The EP will be the birth of Wellington Records, an independent label out of Faribault. Expect a website in the future.  We've booked two shows so far for the summer, expect more in the near future. We'll be playing June 27 and July 26 at the Garage in Burnsville. Visit the Garage's site for directions and the shows page for more details.
5.14.03 - We're super pumped because we're playing First Ave. We need your support!! Check out the shows page for details. The EP planning is coming along great. We're having much luck. Look for shows and promotions in the very near future.
5.22.03 - Lots of news! We're super deep in shows. We all ready have 8 racked up for this summer.  Check out all the dates on the shows page.  We REALLY need attendance at the 21+ shows so we're giving away free tickets to all of them.  Email us with your name and name of any of your friends and we'll get you in for free!  The first rehearsal of the summer went really well...hopefully we'll have some pictures up soon.  Also...we'll have some new ways to Spread the Squash within a couple of days, so help us out if you can.  Recording for the album starts next week.  Wish us luck.  Look for GSQuash stickers to be invading Faribault soon.
6.10.03 - We're just about to finish up our recording for "Coloring Book" which will be released July 25th at the release party.  Check out all the studio reports in the Studio Journal. We also played a couple of shows in the last few weeks. Check out the reports on the Concert Chronology.
7.4.03 - The recording and mixing on "Coloring Book" is finished!  The CD will be released at the release party on July 25 which has been moved to the Elks Club.  See the shows page for more details.  The streak of 4 shows at the end of June went amazingly well.  Check the Concert Chronology.  Speaking of the Chronology, the 2002 section was lost to our horrible server...hopefully we can dig up some details and get them back up.  If you want some immediate reference info, give us an email and we'll get to it faster.
7.22.03 - We have a sneak peak into "Coloring Book" on our audio page.  I hope you enjoy it.  We also have merchandise for sale!!!  We've been waiting for ever.  You're getting the best price possible and we're not making a cent.  We'd love to see you in a GSquash shirt, hat, hoodie, or sporting a lunchbox.  Check it out! We have word of folks coming all the way from Colorodo for the release party! Make sure to be there.  It's lining up to be amazing! Mike McDonough even has a new bass to show off.
9.7.03 - Yep, so it has been awhile.  Basically, GSquash has gone on an indefinite hiatus and they have no plans to reform in the near future.  This was not a cause of anger or anthing dumb like that, but just of geography.  Marquard is gone for awhile to Spain and then will be in St. Louis and Chicago for at least the next few years while Nic is in New York at School.  Ben and McDonough are still wondering the streets of Faribault.  Next summer, the GSquash page will most likely lose its url and then be at www.geocities.com/grandmothersquash  We suggest heading to the Wellington page from now on as that is where you will find news on what everyone is up to.  As far as we know Nic and Mike Marquard are both working hard on solo stuff.  Marquard plans to put Hinken into full swing starting this spring.  As for McDonough and Ben we have not the slightest, but we will update you when we do.  Thanks to everyone who actually did care and did come to shows.  Viva Wellington!
