Applesauce Cookies
2 cups applesauce
2 teaspoons soda
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt
Raisins, nuts, and chocolate chips as desired
Bake at 375° about 12 minutes.
Lace Cookies
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon flour
1 egg, well beaten
½ teaspoon vanilla
Put foil on cookie sheet. Put 1 teaspoon of cookie mixture on foil. Press down a bit. Bake at 325° to 350° until golden brown. Cool, then peel cookies from foil. Store in a tin to keep crisp.
Marshmallow Date Nut Cookies
2� cups graham cracker crumbs
2� cups chopped dates (not sugar coated)
2� cups nuts
2� cups coconut
2� cups chopped marshmallows (cut large marshmallows into pieces)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Mix all ingredients together. Form into small balls. Roll balls in additional graham cracker crumbs.
Missouri Cookies
Melt one square margarine on top of stove. Add 2 cups sugar, ½ cup milk, 3 tablespoons cocoa,1 teaspoon vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Bring to boil. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add 3 cups of one minute oatmeal- stir until well blended. Cover and let stand for 4 (?) minutes. Drop from teaspoon onto wax paper. Nuts and coconut can also be used.
Moon Rock Cookies
2 cups sugar
½ cup butter or margarine
½ cup milk
Boil together for about 5 minutes. Remove and add:
      ¾ cup peanut butter
      6 teaspoons cocoa
      1 tablespoon vanilla
      3 cups oats
Oatmeal Cookies- Garbage Can Cookies
1 cup raisins (simmer in 2/3 cup water)
2 cups oatmeal
2 eggs
2 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
½ cup oil
1 cup sugar
2/3 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup coconut
Mix altogether and stir real good. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°.
Toll House Pan Cookies
2¼ cups unsifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1- 12 ounce package chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
Heat oven to 375°. Combine flour, soda, and salt; set aside. Combine butter, sugars, and vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in greased 15x10x1" baking pan. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes. Cool; cut into 35 two-inch squares.
