lavalion: (TE) One of Klone's transformations.
lava locs: (SS, Sp) Rock creatures that live deep in the molten regions of the planet's crust, and can morph into the surrounding rock. They worship the Overlord and make sacrifices to him.
Leila: (AW) Daughter of Nihilis.
Lelanna: (LC) Keeper of the key to the Box of Seasons. She lives in a cloud city and appears to age in accordance with the seasons.

Magnetic Sea: (KN) Sea in which the kingdom of Aquaria is located. The Magnetic Sea throws off all compass readings.
mantis dragon: (Sp) Underground creature that tries to attack Blackstar and Katana.
Mara: (All, except "Tree of Evil" and "Lord of Time.") Sorceress, sometimes called "the Enchantress."
Marakand: (ZM) City of the zombies, ruled by Shaldemar. After Shaldemar's demise, it is taken over by Prince Dal and Princess Lowena and its name changed to Gondar.

Mermanites: (MS) Sea-dwelling creatures ruled by Queen Brindelle.
monkey bird: (CA) One of Klone's transformations, done for the amusement of the Trobbits.

Poulo: (All) The youngest of the Trobbits, Poulo is mute.
Power Fruits: (MS) Fruit produced by the Sagar Tree. It enhances the strength of anyone who eats it.
Powerstar: The sword formed when the two halves, the Starsword and the Powersword, are joined.
Powersword: The Overlord's half of the Powerstar.
Puffin: (MS) A baby Mermanite. Puffin is an incessant talker.

Red Crown Reef: (MS) Crown-shaped reef near which the Mermanites live.
Rif: (All) Trobbit. In charge of cooking for the group, he is known for being something of a hothead and pessimist, and wears a flame in his cap.

Neptul: (KN) Ruler of Aquaria.
Nihilis: (AW) Captain of an air-whaling ship, Nihilis once lost his hand to Warhoun, king of the air whales. He serves the Overlord by enslaving air whales with a mind gem.
Overlord: Powerful wizard who rules most of Sagar. Once possessed the Powerstar, until it was split in two; he retains the Powersword. Little is known of his background, save that one of his ancestors is the ghostly pirate Typhot.
