| CT Corp seems to be the transfer agent for many Fleet/Boston operations.
Also of note, a gentleman by the name of Donald F. Armstrong, Jr. was the named CEO of over 70 Fleet/Boston related companies all within\ a 4-5 yr. period. It appears that these companies where opened and closed in rapid succession. Home Equity USA Loan Co. of Minn. withdrawn 9/30/02 Fleet Consumer Discount Co. withdrawn 9/30/02 Fleet Finance, Inc. Inc.: 6/14/93 Delaware Active/Compliant: 3/24/03 Also: Fleet Finance Inc. of Georgia, Consumer Life Insurance Company, Home Equity USA, Inc.(Inc. 11/29/95 R.I.) all with the same information as above mentioned company. These are just to name a few of the businesses that this man was CEO or associated with throughout a very short period of time. Throughout our search of these certs., we have turned up alot of interesting information about these companies, and the families that started them. I will be adding more information as I deceminate the information that I have compiled. I believe that Southern Discount and Finance Corp. became part of a hostile takeover by 1st National Bank of St. Paul, and in turn was renamed Southern Discount Co., I believe that any customers on the books at this time would have transfered over and this may be a way to prove this is what happened. I also believe that Fleet/Boston knows that these certs, have never been redeemed, and are still outstanding and are worth a small fortune. I believe that they would do almost anything to keep these stocks from surfacing. There has been limited research done at the Georgia State Archives, as my last trip found the Archives in the process of moving. My contact there, Carl Anderson(head of state archives for the banking indurstry), stated that with his knowledge of the industry in Georgia, and all the information that he has compiled over the years, it was of his understanding that SD&FC and SDC(Southern Discount Co.)are one and the same. It was also noted that through research by personnel at the Federal Archives, there has never been any papers filed in any federal court noting that SD&FC ever filed for banruptcy, or was involved in any actions or litigations. Also of note, in Jan of 1997 Home Equity USA bought Golden Bell Properties, Inc. Golden Bell was formed from the merger of Azalea Prop. Inc., Red Bud Prop. Inc., Holly Prop. Inc., and Firethorn Prop. Inc. Is this a way to launder things? Is this a way to bury paperwork, or make the following of paper trails near impossible? It was also noted that these particular property management companies where holding companies that bought up businesses, which was to included many banks, savings and loans, and mortgage and finance companies, throughout |
