My name is Graham Merkert and here is a short biography. I was
born in Cornwall, England and moved to Rhode Island, USA in 1974. I am 58
years old and have three grown children, of whom I am
very proud. Amber and Sarah are my twin daughters who are 32 ..... Amber is
older by 11 minutes. Amber has a beautiful daughter named Darian, who keeps me busy whenever she spends time with me. My son Adam is 30 years old and is employed by a pharmaceutical company in Rhode Island.
My mother lives in Cornwall, England as does my sister Ruth along with my nephews Jago and Joshua. Ruth owns several clothing stores in the town of Perranporth. Ruth's husband Lawrence passed away on August 1st 2009 - we will all miss him very, very much.
Dad passed away about eleven years ago and I have nothing but fond memories of
him and his stories of his youth in Germany and his hardships and adventures
on destroyers and U-boats in WWII. His ashes are scattered in the Alps of Germany - he finally returned to his beloved homeland.
Bandit, my German Shepherd, died on December 23rd 2002, and my cat Nikki died in 2007. My next pet, if there ever is one, will be an elephant or something else that will outlive me.
