Very Early 610 Sedan
| The 44 Gallon drum in the front of this photo contained all the engine ancillaries and was also full of water. |

This was
the First Graham Paige my father recovered. Not long after he purchased
this the tourer came along, and he decided that would be an easier restoration
(only half the body.. Well that was his theory anyway). The sedan above
is an early 610, you can tell by the removable rim disk wheels (later
ones had split rims). One other oddity with this body is the rear tub
is in three pieces and bolted together, whereas all of the other tubs
we have seen have been welded together. We are not sure if this is just
an odd body shell or if this was the way the early bodies were built over
here. I am putting together a list of differences we have noticed over
here in Australia. This car is still sitting in the back shed awaiting
restoration, though some of it was cannibalized to get our tourer running |

Our 610 Roadster
This is
our 610 Roadster, it is a combination of parts picked up over the years.
(No two parts are from the same car, i think). This one is on our to do
list at the moment, though my wife is pushing to bring it forward. She
has already chosen the paint scheme. Though this was just a mock up on
a spare chassis. |

610 Tourer Chopped into a Ute n
We
collected this one from the Victoria/South Australia border. The 610 tourer
had been turned into a Ute. This was a common period modification, when
the car had finished its useful service life as a car, the farmer would
turn it into a farm truck. This conversion into a Ute seemed to be a quite
a professional Job, and was pinstriped quite nicely. We have kept all
the ute fittings and patterns just in case. There was a Chev tourer tub
on the site (On the other side of the paddock but still there..). We found
a spare gearbox the hard way (it was buried in the thigh high grass and
one of us kicked it.. man those things hurt your foot) This one was pretty
tired but some of its mechanicals have been cannibalized to keep our tourer
on the road. We will have to see what becomes of this one |
