I may not write a famous book or 
be the great composer of a song,
But in this I am content...
To be nothing more than what God ask of me...
To labor, not to gain, but give...
To know the joy of answered prayer
When I have prayed for other people's need.

The one true thing I seek in life
Is not my name in neon lights;
Nor do I seek an earthly crown,
As even earthly kings fall down.

I do not seek the praise of men,
Nor trophies do I strive to win...
But just to know that I can pray
For others faithfully each day.

To know the joy of answered prayer,
To willingly their burdens share;
Ever faithful in each task...
To do God's will is all I ask.
