JUST AS I AM

The Lord made us all for a purpose,
each one in His own special way.
Don't fight Him with questions; accept His creation.
His wisdom comes to those who pray.

His glory, His ways seem mysterious.
Just trust for His love is most serious.
Love keeps us going, love keeps us knowing,
that He is guiding our way.

Some function better than others,
although blind we may be;
who's to say that what we see is the way things are.
He sees so much more than we.

Some blessings are visible and some unseen,
the best of them all is to be spiritually clean.
To do this takes living for Him alone,
not yourself, not others, for He's on the throne.

Our humanness often gets in our way,
our feelings and needs, hunger each day.
Whether happy and healthy or grief stricken with pain,
He makes sunshine even though it may rain.

The reality of life can be dark and scary,
but wisdom and strength He gives as we tary.
I may not do much in this bed of mine,
but my Lord, my Savior, put me here for a time.

I know not why, and I fight it no more,
for He loves me, He's with me; He's opened the door.
Who's to say what's of value; things unseen have much depth.
I believe in the promises He's always kept.

A rich life often comes by nothing we do.
He makes us see different, sometimes when we're blue.
It's scary to some who don't understand,
for happiness is all that they demand.

Their boat may be hitting cruel reefs on each side,
but hiding from life they do with their pride.
Jesus' love never faileth; He removes guilt and shame.
Shame for not being perfect, if we ask in His name.

He loves and accepts us just as we are.
We're His creation which we shouldn't mar.
By not being different than He made me to be,
I'll glory His name, I'll accept me as me!

Even though I can't function and some don't understand
He knows me and loves me just as I am!
