About Nicole
Nicole was born on June 17, 1972 in Alexandria, Virginia.� Her father's name is Bill and lives in Manassas, Virginia.� Her mother's name is Wanda and lives in Mountain Lake Park, MD.� Nicole is an only child and spoiled in love by both of her parents.� She graduated from West Virginia University in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.� She worked in the VA schools for 5 years as a speech therapist.� Currently, she works in Oakland, MD as a social worker/education worker.� Her interests include church activities, working with the disabled, and lots of sports.� Little did she know that she would be returning to her love of the mountains and college town to start a new life with the man of her dreams.

About Scott
Scott was born on May 26, 1970 in Elmira, New York. His parents, Don and Linda, live in Nokesville, Virginia. Scott's younger brother lives with his parents. Scott has his degree in Mathematics and Physics from SUNY at Buffalo but also has several years in the Air Force. Unfortunately,� he had to start his first real career living with his parents in the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia. A couple of jobs later he found good reason (the woman of his dreams) to leave the rat trap and settle in Mountaineer Country. He currently is working for West Virginia University as a Systems Analyst/Programmer.

HOW WE MET
Well, it was quite simple, really. We both put up personal ads like most people do to find their mates. But we had both decided separately to use the newest technology and post our ads to the internet.� Scott happened upon Nicole's ad one desperate evening and after a week, gained the nerve to respond.� Much to his surprise, Nicole responded quite quickly.� We emailed one another for about 3 weeks before we decided to meet.� Nicole had talked on the phone and Scott said a few words back.� On August 27, 1998, Scott met up with Nicole and her dad at Ruby Tuesdays for dinner.� Scott and Nicole dated casually for about 8 months until they decided to establish a long term relationship.� The rest is history!

HOW IT HAPPENED
This past summer has been very eventful for us. We had the opportunity to visit Graceland in Tennessee, Sea World of Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia. In Memphis we got to see the "King" (Elvis), in Ohio we got the chance to touch dolphins, and in Georgia we visited great friends of Nicole's as well as the historical Stone Mountain.
The highlight of the year though was our engagement on July 30th. I tried my best to surprise Nicole and planned on proposing to her in a place special to the two of us (near dolphins in Sea World). However, she always seemed to be one step ahead of me. I waited until the next day and typed "Will you marry me?" on her computer and before she saw the message I hid a wrapped package with the ring amongst other gifts. Before I knew what was happening she was unwrapping her unsuspected gift and I was kneeling on one knee. She was ecstatic.
