Friday April 12th 1912

Sara woke up the next morning feeling an arm draped over her chest. She slowly opened her eyes figuring that it was her daughter that had come into bed with her later in the night. When her vision cleared she saw that it was Greg sleeping soundly at her side.

She rubbed her eyes seeing if it where a dream of some sort but he was really lying there beside her in her bunk. Sara looked around the small room and felt that it was very stuffy in the room. She grabbed Greg's arm and placed it at his side as she got up out of the nice warm bed seeing that she was naked.

Now her memory came back and she remembered all of the fun and games the two of them had the night before. She grabbed the quilt that was on top of the sheets and wrapped it around her self as she jumped down to the floor. The cement was cold on her feet but she didn't mind it, she walked over to the closed porthole and opened it up to allow the smell of the sea air to fill up the room. She saw land again knowing that they where at there last stop, Queenstown.

Greg moaned and was ready to give his angel a morning kiss when he saw that she wasn't lying beside him anymore. He sat up and looked around seeing that she was staring out the porthole with a quilt wrapped around her beautiful body. He jumped down from the bunk and snuck up behind Sara giving her a trail of kisses on her exposed neck and collar.

"Good morning darling. I was just opening up the porthole, Sara whispered not wanting him to stop kissing her.

"Yeah it was a little stuffy in here" Greg said and spun Sara around ready to give Sara a kiss on the lips when he saw the look of worry on her face. "What's the matter Sarbear?" Greg asked.

"The kids and August, they're not in their bunks" Sara said seeing the 3 perfectly made bunks.

"Remember, you asked August if she could take them because of the private party we where having last night. They were staying in David's cabin for the night" Greg explained and saw her relax.

Just when Greg was giving Sara a very passionate kiss Neleh, Sasha and August walked into the stateroom catching the two lovebirds entwined in the act. Sasha smiled seeing that her mother had finally found true love.

Sara then locked eyes with her daughter and broke away from Greg as a blush of embarrassment came across her cheeks. August was smiling that her friend had found love and Neleh was wide eyed at seeing the two of them together, let alone Greg in boxers and Sara having a quilt around her naked body.

"Why don't us three go down to the dinning room and get a table while Sara and Greg get dressed so that they could come join us" August said and pushed the two girls out of the room.

Catherine opened her eyes to hearing the sound of a bugle outside on the boat deck. She glanced over at the clock and realized that he was announcing lunch. Catherine was about to get up when she felt a hand draped across her waist. She turned her head and saw Gil sleeping beside her.

She was starving and needed to have something to eat since she and Gil had ended up sleeping through breakfast. Catherine slowly took Gil's arm off around her waist and sat up in the nice warm bed with the sun shinning in her eyes. She shielded her eyes letting go of the bed sheet that was around her. She looked down and realized that she was naked. She lifted up the sheets and saw that Gil was as well.

Catherine swung her legs out to the side of the bed and heard a moan from beside her. She looked over and saw that her Prince Charming was awake.

"Where are you going beautiful?" Gil asked with a smile seeing her naked once again.

"I'm getting out of bed and getting dressed. It's noon hour and I'm starving since we missed breakfast. Would you care to join me?" Catherine asked.

"Of course my lady"

Catherine got up out of bed and grabbed the blanket that was on top of the bed spread. She wrapped it around herself and went into the bathroom to wash the sleep out of her eyes. She came back out moments later and saw that Gil was already getting dressed into his tuxedo.

Catherine walked over to her closet and went rummaging through all of her clothes to try and find the perfect outfit. She saw that it was sunny but could feel the cool sea air coming in through her open portholes.

Catherine decided that she would wear her pink corset and pink skirt that went down to the floor. She had on white gloves to match and white shoes. She put her hair up in a bun once again and placed her large brimmed hat on top. The only problem was that she needed someone to do up the strings on the back of her dress.

"Darling, could you do the strings up on my corset please" Catherine asked.

"Of course" Gil said and grabbed the stings tying it so that it wouldn't hurt her.

"Sweetheart you have to tie it tighter. That's the whole purpose of these things, Catherine said laughing.

"Doesn't that hurt? I mean won't it be uncomfortable? I don't want you to pass out on me or anything," Gil asked but he obeyed her orders and pulled tightly on the strings and she screamed.

"It-it used to-hurt in the-the beginning-but now I'm-I'm used to it-it is however very-uncomfortable at times-which is the-the reason why-I don't wear-or own-many of-of them" Catherine explained in between gasps as Gil tightened the corset. He finally made it to the last one and tied it into a bow.

"There, all finished. Ready to go eat some lunch?"

Catherine turned around with a smile on her face as she grabbed Gil's hand. She walked a few baby steps to get used to the corset and then began to walk normally feeling the blood rushing to all parts of her body once again. They walked hand in hand out of the stateroom and towards the La Carte Restaurant.

Sara and Greg walked into the third class dinning room hand in hand with smiles on their faces. Sasha spotted them and leapt out of her chair to go meet up with her mother and her new lover.

Sara looked down and saw that her daughter was standing there tugging on her dress. She picked up her daughter with eyes that where about as big as saucers and walked over to the table to where they saw Neleh, August and David. The three of them took their seats and all of them ordered the lamb.

"Greg can I call you daddy?" Sasha asked and everyone at the table stopped talking waiting for Gregs answer.

"Of course Sasha, you can call me whatever you want" Greg replied and smiled at her. Sara smiled too; she was madly in love with this man and could see that Sasha loved him as well.

"Does that mean that you and Mama are going to get married when we get to America?"

Sara blushed at her daughters out of the blue question and Greg squeezed her hand reassuring her that he could handle this. "Now Sasha, I do love your mother and I would love to marry her some day, but I don't think it will be right when we get to America" Greg explained and gave Sara a kiss.

The waiter came back and placed 6 plates of lamb on the table one in front of each of the passengers. They all dug into their fantastic meals and listened to the music in silence.

Catherine and Grissom walked inside the La Carte Restaurant and sat down at one of the wicker tables and chair sets. The restaurant wasn't that packed which was a good thing then Catherine and Gil could eat their meal in silence. Catherine was sure that her mother wouldn't mind if she ate in here today since she didn't bother to come and wake her up this morning. She figured that she was upset because she left the table at the dinning room last night without telling her.

The restaurant was just like the dinning room. Catherine and Grissom both sat down at the table that was near the window. They looked out side and saw that another passenger boat had arrived. It was the one carrying the passengers that were from Queenstown.

The waiter came by and both of them ordered the fillet and a glass of red wine. The waiter came back moments later with a nice red wine in his hands and popped the cork off watching as the wine was bubbling over. Once it subsided he poured a glass for each Catherine and Gil and then left.

"Catherine you alright? You seemed to be bothered by something?" Gil asked as he took a sip of wine.

"Huh? Oh no I'm fine, it's just that...that I'm so happy. I mean I think I have found the missing part of me it was you. I've just never been in love with anyone like this before, it's a whole new experience for me" Catherine replied with tears forming in her eyes.

Gil took her hand in his and looked deep into her sparkling blue eyes "I'm happy to be with you to. I love you Catherine and nothing can come between us ever"

"I love you too Gil. It's just that I don't want to loose you"

"The only way you'll ever loose me is if I die anytime soon and I don't plan to. Trust me you have nothing to worry about"

Just then the waiter came back with two plates of steaming fillet in each of his hands. He placed them down in front of the two guests and left them to eat their meals in silence. Catherine and Grissom dug in and it was the best Fillet they had ever tasted.

Meanwhile Sara and Greg went out to the poop deck for a little breath of fresh air before heading back inside. August and David where off dancing in the General room while Neleh and Sasha where playing with many other children. They walked hand in hand along the boat deck seeing many other couples snuggling up with each other to keep warm in the cold sea breeze. Many children where running around chasing after each other while keeping warm at the same time.

Sara shivered as a gust of wind went up her cotton skirt. Greg noticed and wrapped his arm around her shoulders pulling her into him to try and keep her warm. Sara rested her head on his shoulder already beginning to warm up.

"Greg I...I love you so much" Sara whispered.

"I love you too Sara and nothing at all can ever pull us two apart. Not even if the great Titanic sank I'll make sure that we will always be together. But there is no need to worry about that because this ship is unsinkable" Greg replied giving Sara a kiss on her frozen nose.

"I hope this ship doesn't sink because Sasha and I don't know how to swim." Sara replied getting scared by thinking of that horrible scenario.

"It's going to be fine, this ship will not sink. Remember we do have lifeboats you know; It's always been woman and children first. Which means that you, Sasha, August and Neleh can all be safe together. The men stay behind because they are stronger and can survive the ice cold water longer than the women."

"Greg, how do you know so much about ships?"

"I've been on them all my life. We usually have a lifeboat drill so that everyone aboard the ship knows were to go incase there is a real emergency. Surprisingly the Titanic hasn't had one yet. Oh well it's up to the Captain and not us"

"They probably didn't issue one yet because they knew it would be a waste of time on an unsinkable ship"

Greg smiled seeing his girlfriend thinking positive "That could be true."

Catherine and Gil where both done there brunch and getting up to leave when Catherine's mother walked into the La Carte Restaurant. She knew this was going to be trouble.

"Here comes trouble, Catherine whispered to Gil who couldn't help but smile.

"Catherine, how nice to see you up and about this morning. Look who I found wandering around on the boast deck this morning. Surely you remember Edward. Well I'll leave you two to do some catching up." Her mother said cheerfully and left to go join her friends.

"Hello Catherine, long time no see" Eddie replied.

"Hello Eddie, I wish it had stayed that way, Catherine said as she grabbed a hold of Gil's hand.

"Now who's this young fellow. He should keep his dirty little paws away from my girlfriend" Eddie said with a smirk.

"EDDIE! You know I broke it off with you last Christmas! Do we really have to go through this every time we meet, which I hope is never again"

"Calm down Cat I was just having a little fun"

"I'm sure you where you bastard" Catherine mumbled and Gil couldn't help but laugh.

"What did you just call me?" Eddie asked with anger.

"I didn't call you anything, you're hearing things"

Eddie grabbed a hold of Catherine's wrist and squeezed it tight. "What did you just say? he muttered with fire in his eyes.

"Let go of me!" Catherine squealed.

"You're wish is my command kitty" Eddie threw her to the ground causing her to hit her head on the table. Catherine sat there massaging her sore wrist while Eddie smiled at his accomplishment.

"I guess I haven't lost my touch, see you around Catherine pleasure to meet you Gil" Eddie said and walked out of the Caf.

Gil desperately wanted to chase after him and beat him up for what he did to his lover. Instead he decided to stay with Catherine and calm her down. He grabbed a few ice cubes from in the wine chiller on the table and pressed them against Catherine's swollen wrist.

"I think we should bring you down to the doctor at sick bay and see your wrist it might be severely injured." Gil said as he helped Catherine stand up.

Sasha and Neleh were bored of playing with the other children and wanted to go see what everyone else was doing. They glanced around the general room and didn't see August, David, Greg or Sara anywhere.

They went out to the poop deck to see if they where standing out there catching some fresh air. When the two girls opened the door it was like a ton of bricks hit them in the face. They knew that they wouldn't be out there. It was too cold.

"Maybe there in out cabin" Neleh suggested.

"Good thinking, let's go" Sasha replied and both girls ran down the hallway.

They got to their cabin door and opened it up seeing that it was empty. They decided to go and try Greg's stateroom to see if they where in there. When they reached his door they heard bag pipe music and knew that at least Greg was in there. Maybe he could tell them where everyone else went off too. Sasha opened up the door and saw the Greg was playing the bagpipes and they Sara was sitting on one bunk while August and David where sitting on another.

"Hello Sasha and Neleh, why don't you come join our little party" Greg suggested

Sasha sat down on her mother's lap while Neleh sat down on her sisters. Greg began to play his bagpipes once again and the girls loved the music. The all began to clap their hands to the beat and laughed at how much fun there own little party was like.

Catherine and Grissom finally made it down to D deck to the hospital wing which was Aft of the Grand staircase. They where waiting for the doctor to come and see them and Catherine felt like she was going to get sick and collapse.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Grissom, what seems to be the trouble?" the doctor asked as he entered the room.

Grissom and Catherine just smiled at the mistake the doctor had made, but decided not to correct him. Some day it might actually become that way. "She has a very badly swollen wrist, do you know what will help reduce it?"

"Yes of course, we could put a cold compress on it for a couple of hours a day to reduce the swelling. Anything else?"

Grissom opened his mouth to say no but Catherine butted in "Yes, do you have a bag because I think I'm going to be sick"

"Certainly here you go. Do have cramps, feel light headed and have heat flashes every so often?" the doctor asked.

"Yes, why do I have the flu?"

"No Madame, you're pregnant"

Right when she heard the doctor say that she vomited into the bag and Grissom's eyes shot wide open. He was going to be a father and Catherine was going to become a mother. He couldn't believe that this was happening.

"Congratulations!"

Catherine looked up from the paper bag with a smug smile on her face "Are you sure I'm pregnant? I could just have the flu or food poisoning right?"

"No Miss, I'm sure you're pregnant. I'm sorry to cut this short but I have more patients to see and here's your cold compress. Take care now"

"Come along darling let's go back to the cabin for a lay down" Gil said as he grabbed Catherine's hand and helped her down off of the examination table.

The bugle rang announcing dinner 3 hours later and the small group of friends didn't even realize that time had gone by so quickly. Greg's little show was marvelous and everyone enjoyed every bit of it to the very end. All of them decided to go straight to the dinning room from Greg's stateroom and grab a table before the rush came in. Everyone ordered the steak this time to try something different for a change.

This time a waitress came by with the 6 plates of steak. She stopped and said, "You both have beautiful children, god bless every one of you" and then she left. They didn't bother to correct her instead when she was out of sight they all laughed over it.

The bugle announcing dinner this time once again awaked Catherine. She got up off of the bed and tried to fix her hair as best she could. She didn't even bother changing since she and Gil where not going to be dinning in the dinning room this evening. She didn't want to tell her mother about the baby until the right moment.

Gil got up moments later and gave Catherine a kiss on the lips and a kiss on her clothed stomach. Catherine laughed and knew that Gil would make a good husband and father some day.

"Ready to go to dinner?" Gil asked.

"Yes darling. I don't want to tell my mother about the baby just yet, can we eat in the La Carte Restaurant again?"

"Of course"

They walked down the hallway and up the grand staircase to the boat deck level. They walked through the swing doors and took a seat at the same table they had lunch at a few hours ago. The place wasn't that crowded and the people that where in it where people she didn't know.

"What would you like to eat Miss?" the waiter asked and then recognized her as the one who was here at lunch "You're that lady that was here at lunch time weren't you? I'm so sorry that, that man hurt your wrist."

"I'm fine thank-you, I would like to order the lamb please, and you darling?" Catherine asked turning towards Gil.

"The lamb as well thank-you" Gil replied and the waiter went away.

"Gil...I want to talk to you about something?" Catherine said while she fiddled with her napkin before placing it on her lap.

"What is it about? Is it about the baby?" Grissom asked.

"No, it's about Eddie" Catherine stated and took a sip of water.

"Catherine, why do you want to talk about that scum during dinner?"

"Because I want you to know what he's really like. It must have raised some questions in your mind when you saw him grab my wrist like that." Catherine stated.

"Yes, your right it did. If it will make you feel better then I will listen to what you have to say"

"Eddie and I dated last year and trust me you could not find two happier people. That was until one night he got a little too frisky for my liking. He forced me into bed and if I didn't do what I was told I was beaten, badly. As you could tell my mother had no idea that this was happening to me since she seemed so happy when she brought him in here this morning.

One day, I was at the market getting some groceries for him and I when I saw him with another woman. When I saw that I knew that enough was enough and I left him. I told him that I was going to my parents house for a little vacation.

My mother asked where Eddie was and I told her that the two of us broke up for personal reasons. I knew she would have believed that more than if I told her the truth. A few weeks after that my father ended up passing away due to cancer in his lungs.

My mother didn't want to stay in England anymore after the death of my father so she bought us two first class tickets aboard the Titanic. She said that if she stayed one more night in that house she would go mad. I was happy that we where sailing to America because then it meant more distance between Eddie and I.

I of course was wrong. When my mother brought him in here this morning I knew that he was going to be mad at me for not coming back. But I had a good reason, I didn't want to stay with him and get beaten to death every day. I may be second class in this world because I'm a woman but that doesn't mean that I have to subject to beatings and wild sex games.

I knew right then that if I had told my mother the truth about us that we didn't break it off, it was that he hit me and he cheated on me then he would have never seen us aboard the ship and everything would have been better." Catherine explained with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"My goodness Catherine, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I promise you if we ever see him again on this ship I will throw him over board before he ever lays a hand on you." Gil said and took Catherine's hand squeezing it tight to reassure her that everything was going to be fine.

The waiter came back with their meal as Catherine was dabbing away the tears in her eyes with the corner of her napkin. They both ate their lamb in silence.
