"Where do you want me to put her suitecase?" Dillon asked us once he shut the door.

"Just go put it upstairs somewhere." I said with a wave of my hand. Dillon tried to look suprised by my sudden lack of interest in him but he couldn't help but to smile. I knew he was just joking. Ten minutes later Maxie and mom were sitting on one couch and Dillon and I were on the other, talking and catching up since the last time we had seen mom when we heard the door open. We hadn't even heard Mac pull up in his car because we were all laughing so loud.

"What is going on...." He started but stopped as soon as he saw mom. "Felicia? What are you doing home?" He asked as she got up and hugged him.

"Suprise!" she said quietly with tears in her eyes.

"Why are you back so soon, is everything all right?" He asked concerned.

"Yes everything is fine. Georgie called me about a month ago and we made plans for me to come home for a couple days. We decided not to tell you and suprise you." Mom said as they both sat down on the couch with Maxie.

"Who picked you up?" He asked.

"Georgie and Dillon." She said motioning towards where we were sitting. Mac looked over at us, then his eyes locked with Dillon's. It wasn't a look of animosity or anything, but a look of thanks and appreciation. Then a sudden realization hit me, just as soon as Mac was warming up to Dillon I was going to shatter that with what we were about to tell them. All of a sudden  Iwanted to hold out a little longer in the hopes that they would start to get along and the news wouldn't be as big of a blow. But mom was only here for a few days and my times was quickly running out.

"Well this calls for a celebration." Mac said as he stood up.
